The Bloody Marys are unreal here! I ordered one topped with cheese curds, a WHOLE grilled cheese, string cheese, tomatoes, and salami. I didn't even need to order a meal with all of those toppings! Had a family meal with a group of 7 people. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast sausages were over cooked on one of the orders, but upon a request for replacement they were replaced immediately with fresh sausages and we were happy. My father had the grilled pork chops and said they were the best pork chops he has ever had. We left the establishment happy and with full belly's. We would recommend this place again and we will be back again . read more

Now this is a great place!!!! In a small town, there should always be that place you go when you just want a good meal, a cozy atmosphere and decent service. Jimmy's is that place. We went about noon a few days ago and while we hoped to go earlier for breakfast, we were not disappointed in the lunch selections and food. The food here looks and tastes homemade, and while it was apparent that it was not 100% fresh ingredients, the care in cooking made even the non-fresh ingredients wonderful. We had an appetizer (breaded mushrooms). They appeared to be canned mushrooms and they looked freshly battered, but the batter consistency was almost too perfect, so it made us wonder. The taste was excellent and set the tone for our meal. Since it was lunch, I ordered a chipotle cheeseburger and my girlfriend had some of their wings. The wings were baked and not fried, fresh, large and done superbly. Being baked, there were some areas not completely sauced and a bit more sauce over the top after cooking or on the side would have made them perfect. My burger was made fresh and cooked to a PERFECT medium rare and when I say perfect, I mean it. I have not had a burger cooked right at a restaurant in a LONG time, so this made my day. The flavors of the roasted peppers and chipotle seasoning was also done PERFECT and added to the overall dish rather than distracting from it. Our only question was that the menu stated breakfast was only served until 11AM and since we were after that time, we ordered lunch, but we saw other getting breakfast items. On our next visit, we will ask if it is served all day, but I am assuming that in a small town, you take care of your people. The gentleman who greeted and seated us was outstanding in his service and attention to the restaurant and our server was pleasant, accommodating and just the right amount of conversation (all about meal and no chit-chat), to make us feel welcome and not intruded upon! The food was not worth the price. I understand Covid concerns but styrofoam cups are a joke. I asked what went into the decision to use styrofoam and got a snarky answer. I am ok paying more but expect a better product they did not deliver. If you are from out of town don't stop here. read more

BLAND!!! I ate breakfast there and it was so disgusting!!! They didn't season anything and all you could taste was the disgusting American cheese like cheese they used. I also ordered a side of corn beef hash and it was also bland! The stuff in the can has more flavor!!! read more

While working from home, I went out three times last week for order out from Jimmy's. On Friday when I went to pick my lunch up I was told that the tab was on them. I was traveling to Milwaukee and I saw advertisement's for this restaurant off of the US-49 exit freeway sign. I thought it was lunch time so lets try a new restaurant! I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. The sand which came with coleslaw, pickle spare and french fries. The price was $6.50. Lettuce and tomatoes was $1.00 extra. The wait staff was prompt and friendly. Jackson is a small town, but I attended this Restaurant on the 4th of July and by the end of my meal, there was almost not an empty table in the restaurant! read more

Eaten here twice. The food is decent, but average at best. I certainly don't see the 5 stars here. It's an ok cafe to have breakfast at, but the dinner I had was just fair. Frozen fish out of a bag fried. Nothing special. If you are a foodie, give it a pass. If you are a "average family restaurant" fan, this is just like most of them. Great food at great prices. You should not go expecting a 5 star restaurant but the food is very good, the staff friendly and attentive and the price right. The ribs are very good, the Ruben excellent and the Mexican night is not to be missed as all items are very simple and well made. Kosta and Jimmy and the entire staff make you feel as if you're a regular even if you haven't been in Ina while. Also the entire menu can be take out and quickly for nights you don't want to cook. I only have been there once and felt super ripped off. I ordered the "full" rack of ribs for $18.99. Every full rack of ribs I've ever gotten anywhere usually does not fit on the plate completely. The ribs I received were about the size of a tv remote control. They were about 3" wide by 8" long. I asked the waitress if this was the "full" rack and she said absolutely. Needless to say I was pretty pissed off. My speculation is that they may have only had what I was served left and were trying to pass it off as a full rack. If that's how you treat your customers by trying to deceive them, then no thank you for me. They will never see me step foot in their door again. There is too many other restaurants out there that care enough to give the customer a good experience. This was definitely not one of them. read more

You wouldn't really expect to find such a great little restaurant in the small town of Jackson off of the highway, but I have to say, the service and food was pretty awesome! This morning before church we called to make reservations for 12 and after church we called back to let them know we had an additional 6 people coming for breakfast. Without hesitation they made a table big enough for all of us to come and enjoy a morning together. The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs. My husband, my sister and I were in the area from out of state and saw the good reviews for Jimmy's so we decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. Everyone's food was delicious and Aggie, the waitress, was so friendly and eager to make suggestions for vegetarian options. Costa was tending bar and made great suggestions for some local beer. We came in a little after 1pm for lunch. I ordered the stuffed peppers(the special for the day), and my significant other ordered the bacon cheeseburger. My stuffed peppers were ok. His bacon cheese burger was nothing to speak of. You can tell it was very cheap ground beef used. On the other hand the waitress was very friendly, but did not do a good job taking care of us. Heard Jimmy's had a good fish fry and was terribly disappointed. The batter on the fish was burned and underneath the batter was this disgusting pink slime, that I see another yelper complained about also! Cole slaw was just cabbage drowning in a mayonnaise soup!
