First time coming here and let me tell you it did not disappoint. I we ended up getting a double cheeseburger combo a chicken breast combo and some chicken tenders. I like the old-school vibes. Customer service was great love the atmosphere but most important. Their food was amazing. The burger was nice and juicy the fries. I fell in love with their fries nice and crispy and golden. I really recommend you come and check them out.

Tater tot breakfast burrito with bacon

Came on a Saturday morning was not super packed, which is interesting because the food is extremely good. The customer service was on point. The gentleman at the cash register made a great recommendation so I took them up on it. I ordered the breakfast burrito with tater tots and I will probably order it again. It was delicious. It was full of flavor. Highly recommend. And it's kind of fun in there it gives off a Bob's Burgers vibe.

We had breakfast here and everything was delicious. I ordered the pancakes with eggs, bacon, and sourdough toast, along with a cup of coffee. The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the bacon had a great crisp. My sourdough toast was fresh and really tasty. My husband got the breakfast burrito with bacon and ham, and he really enjoyed it. It was big, flavorful, and packed with plenty of ingredients. Overall, the service was friendly, the food came out hot, and we left full and satisfied. Definitely a great spot for breakfast! We had breakfast here and everything was delicious. Decided last minute to grab lunch at Jim's, and honestly, it was a pretty solid choice. They have a huge selection of affordable fast-food options -- I'd say they're actually better than most fast-food spots and less processed. The fries and chicken strips were good, but the burger was bussin! The gyro was also really good and a nice alternative. They've got a pretty extensive menu with gyros, Mexican stuff like tacos and burritos, and chili burgers. Great service and cute ambiance.

2/28/25 Yet another local favorite, thanks to a really great Friend's recommendation, trying the breakfast special. What can I get for $6.99? Choice of bacon (3 pieces) or sausage patty/links, then 3 eggs (how much are eggs nowadays?!) cooked any style, hash browns & choice of toast & coffee. Fast food joints charge more!!! I'm SOLD!!! It's limited for breakfast, I believe until 11 am only (I am not 100% on that but come check it out.) Jose took our order at the counter, what a nice guy! He's very friendly & welcoming. easy to talk to. Desiree took our order when my other dear friend arrived. Our food was delivered promptly to our chosen table. They came by to check if everything was to our liking. Ambiance is like a Denny's but smaller scale with booths & tables/chairs. They have fine-in & to go options. It feels like the kind of place that locals frequent. Our food was delicious. I requested my bacon well done, crispy, over medium eggs & that's exactly what was served. Music was playing (MTV?) on the screen as we sang to it to the dismay of other patrons. We had ourselves a grand old time. Parking is free & readily available when we dined. Come check them out & support your local businesses.

Chicken tenders with Ranch Dipping sauce
    Christine Y.

The fries are amazing, the ranch for the chicken tenders is perfect, one thing that killed it for me... the chili cheese fries... Noooooo flavor and temp must of been off or old cause they had to reheat the the chili in the microwave. It ok... but was it worth the drive, only if you area and a cheap bite.

Let's get this started! Wonderful staff, so fun and welcoming. Super friendly it'll make ya feel like family. First time visiting with good friends was an endearing experience. Great deals on breakfast. Inside seating with table games available to keep you entertained apart from the awesome music videos that being back the good 80s. Well organized, clean with self serve drink station. Really enjoyed the breakfast plate to start the morning off on the right foot. Plenty of parking available.

FANTASTIC! Love the diner vibe and the food here definitely crept up on me. Ordered a fish sandwich cuz I have been craving one and it hit the frikkin spot. Also cashed in on their Burger Box deal, 2 strips, fries and a burger for $10?! And to top it off it was hitting! Wonderful service from the team and a great overall experience, highly recommend if you're cruising down Route 66 and need a lil pick me up

I have only been in this area for a few months so I haven't found a lot of the "hidden gems" when it comes to food yet but I would consider this place to be one of them. I ordered a cheese burger combo and the size of the burger was perfect to fill me up for a good amount of the day. I was only able to go thru the drive thru but the staff were very friendly and quick with the service they provided. From what I could tell by looking in the window the inside looked clean and had plenty of places to sit at the time that I came for my food. I am looking forward to going back and trying different food options.

The Smashburger was very nicely done, seasoned well and tasty. All in attendance agreed it was a satisfying, quality meal. The counter service was impressive. It was like they were getting paid to attend to the needs of customers. They were pretty much floppy and raw. The young lady working there must have been new because she did not know how to work the cash register. The place feels more like a bar than a restaurant, and there were a few things that brought the experience down. The Food: The mozzarella sticks were great--crispy and delicious. The fries and tater tots were also really good and came out just right. The pretzel bites were good while they were hot, but they quickly became cold and soggy. The Oink Burger had good flavor, but the coleslaw completely took over. It was way too watery, making the burger soggy instead of giving it that nice crunchy texture. I think it needed less juice and more fresh vegetables. Drinks: The beer selection was decent, but the beers could definitely have been colder. Service & Atmosphere: Service was okay. Not the best, but not the worst either. The staff seemed to be doing what they could with the people they had available. The atmosphere definitely felt more like a drinking bar than a restaurant. There was also a small issue with the AC unit above our table leaking water near my daughter, which obviously wasn't ideal. Overall: There were some good food items, but too many little things added up. Between the soggy food, lukewarm beer, AC leak, and bar-like atmosphere, I just wasn't impressed. Not Bombdiggity. Not terrible either. Just mid all the way.

Service was slow and inattentive the whole time, from seating to when they were around to take our order or drop off an item, they were never friendly or courteous. They seemed annoyed having to work. This location of Back Abbey in Upland is in the Colonies area, in the same plaza as Albertson, European Wax Center, and Massage Envy. When I pulled up I was genuinely happy that this location was much larger than their original Claremont location. They have tables, a bar area, and a large outdoor patio. There were many tv screens for the sports fan. I actually liked the décor and had positive hopes for this place. When I looked at their menu I was happy to see the menu grow since my last encounter with their original Claremont location. Once again, I was excited for the business and genuinely wanted to support them. I was narrowing down what to order and I even imagined coming back to try other items. My boyfriend had the Back Abbey Burger ($20) and I was mistakenly excited to see the beer cheese so I got the Soft Pretzel ($10). We also shared a Pomme Frites (half $9/full $11) and went all out with the full cause it's a better deal. My boyfriend also got a Coke ($4). I was asking the waitress about the sangria but their version doesn't have edible fruits, so I was less interested. Honestly if she was more friendly I would have gotten something else. I just got water. THE ONLY THING WE ENJOYED IS THE POMME FRITES. I remember liking these from their Claremont location. Fresh cut and super crispy as they double fry it in duck fat. Yummmm. My boyfriend said his burger was okay but he didn't like the aged gouda which affected every bite of the burger. Ugh now let me get to the pretzel. The saddest pretzel in all of the lands. I was soo excited for this... anddd COLD BEER CHEESE!! Whatttttttt??? Honestly I wanted to ask staff if it was meant to be cold but they were no were in sight. We were waiting sooooo long to wave someone down for the check. If service was faster at least I can be annoyed and leave and get over it. They were so slow it left me to stew in my annoyance of the unsatisfying depressing pretzel. Also, neither the coke or the waters were refilled. When we were FINALLY able to wave someone down, it was still a while to get the check. We also for a togo container FOR THE FRIES. She can see the majority of the pretzel was uneaten and I made it a point to say I didn't care to take it togo. Of course she didn't care to ask any follow up questions. Food being bad is one thing... I could have always came back to try the duck confit or steamed mussels like I intended but the service made me soooooooooo miserable waiting around. I don't have time for this.

As far as the service, we went through the drive through. The employee that took our order was patient in answering questions since we explained it was our first visit. She was friendly and had more of a spice to her personality than the food. I also want to acknowledge that on their website they say that a percentage of their sales goes towards charity for the community which is incredible. We don't see ourselves returning, and if we ever do we will order burgers since they seem to be more popular in the Yelp reviews.
