Jin Jin is now China Garden and on their menu you can order pint or quart and their quart container only holds 16 oz half of what they say it is. RIPOFF you get a pint and pay for a quart, I took my container back in and they kept saying it was a quart. I said I am not coming back and they are cheating people. Don't expect much from the ambiance or atmosphere, but the lunch specials keep knocking my socks off. The beef and broccoli has very fresh broccoli. The crunch of celery and cashews in. The cashew chicken has been fantastic. We've only tried lunch, but the service is fast and food so fresh. Looks like they used to have an buffet setup but no more. Food not fit for human consumption. We ordered food on a delivery service and it was not suitable to eat. The beef dish was full of fat and I immediately vomited and the fried rice was very bland. Horrible customer service for sub-par Chinese takeout. The reason for the low score. Horrible service. Absolutely horrible. We placed a large to-go order for our family. When we got home we discovered that they forgot to include our quart of General Tso chicken that was ordered. I checked everything- I even made sure I did in fact order it (I had) When I called to let them know- instead of understanding they immediately got an attitude and pushed blame on me and insisted that they DID include it. This is not the case. Then they hung up on me. I will never buy from this place again and will make sure never to recommend them. Whats sad. After reading other reviews - it seems that they pull this stunt often. I know I should have checked before I left. But we ordered a lot. The items weren't marked and they stapled the containers shut (which was odd). So it would have been a hassle to check there. Stay away from this place or make sure you check everything. This used to be a great Chinese restaurant when it opened, and for about 10 years after that, when Jenny and her husband ran it. Since they left, it slowly has gone downhill, and today was probably the worst it's ever been. I went in and ordered two to go meals, one of Mongolian beef and the other General Tsos chicken....the lady who took my order said it would be ready in 15 - 20 minutes. I sat down to wait, and in 5 minutes she walked out with my order. I couldn't believe they could fix anything that quickly....well they didn't...!! They must've had the beef and the chicken already prepared and tossed them both in different sauces, dished them up in containers and brought them out to me. The food was barely warm, the fried chicken pieces that were in the General Tso's dish were dried out and tough, and the Mongolian beef tasted nothing like any Mongolian beef from any other Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. It tasted like grilled hamburger meat and fried onions from a skillet....terrible all the way around. I'LL NEVER GO TO JIN JIN AGAIN !! read more

I am beyond disappointed. This is the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I asked for French fries and chicken wings and this is what I got. The fries look terrible as if they were fried in old oil. I don't even dare to try them they look old and you can feel all the grease when you pick them up. I'm used to whole chicken wings not this chopped up b.s. The chicken was dry and hard. I wish I could give 1/2 stars. I would rate Jin Jin 3 1/2 stars. The eggrolls had a great flavor and the filing was perfectly shredded, no huge chunks of vegetables. However, they were so small it would take 2 1/2 of these to make a normal sized eggroll anywhere else. The fried dumplings were a perfect size and flavor, with extra potsticker sauce. I only had a few sips of the Hot n' Sour soup. It had an okay flavor and was sufficiently spicy, it just wasn't impressive so I wanted to save room for the other items. My least favorite item was the cream cheese wontons, they didn't have a bad flavor, it was slightly sweet but I've had better elsewhere. My boyfriend ordered Shrimp Lo Mein which he liked but it could use a bit more Lo Mein sauce, I would order Lo Mein here again and add either extra sauce or soy sauce. We called in our takeout order over the phone and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We left the house 5 minutes later, and drove the 6 minutes to get there just as they were putting our order up in the window. read more

This place is absolutely fantastic. My husband and I order from here at least once a month. Never has the buffet, we always do take out. The same young girl always greets us and remembers our regular order - family special (4 entrees for $21.99!) It's hot, fresh, and never had a bad batch of anything. So I ordered the beef and onion curry sound simple right? 3 ingredients what I get includes carrots cooked cabbage cooked celery delicious a delicious a key in any curry (sarcasm) mushrooms corn mushrooms corn peapods and other assorted kitchen waste all very gross. basically it looks like someone emptied the kitchen sink drain on top of some tidbits of beef and a few onions with the worlds weakest curry.. This place is garbage . First my wife ordered the lobster chow mien it was fake lobster and it had crawfish tails in it , the hot and sour soup had artificial chicken in it wtf!! Also got spicy chicken with fried rice the chicken again was spongelike never ate sponge chicken before in my life the texture was very questionable. Also the beef is spongelike . Very disappointing! I rarely eat Chinese food because I keep a low carb diet. So I really got a craving and tried this restaurant. Lo Mein was very bland, no pork in the pork fried rice that was very dry and crunchy that tasted day old from the refrigerator. I have never in my life thrown out Chinese food but I did this time! I have been to a few (maybe 4) Chinese restaurants in Pensacola and this is the best one. The sweet and sour sauce, the beef and broccoli, spring rolls and egg rolls! I'm not a buffet person so I always order from the menu and this place never disappoints. It reminds me of others places in Baton Rouge, Dallas and New York so for me this is the best I have had here. The only thing I would like them to do is deliver! One reviewer mentioned that this restaurant is never crowded. I understand why. When we entered the restaurant, we noticed that we were the only ones in the place. The lone waitress was sweeping and seemed to be annoyed by our interruption of her work. She finally walked over and asked what we wanted. I ordered the vegetable fried rice, and I asked her to make sure it did not have any eggs in it. She looked at me, then snickered and rolled her eyes. The food arrived quickly. Too quickly, as it turned out. The rice was undercooked and crunchy. My wife had ordered the orange chicken, and she said that it tasted like an entrée that came from the frozen food section of our local grocery store. If you are looking for undercooked TV dinners served by surly waitresses, then you will enjoy Jin Jin. Otherwise, avoid this place. read more

We had the buffet for late lunch on sunday, but only few people were there. The only table that was there was quiet and looked mad.... and I can imagine why after we had left. About the half of the trays were empty and the other half of the trays were almost empty. there is not much of a selection to begin with..... and half of that wasnt even there. EVERYTHING we had was old and stale. I am not just saying.... EVERYTHING! it seems like everything was sitting out since early in the morning. We paid $19 for that nasty food... They brought it out in a to go container, but I was eating there. I also had to ask for a new soup bowl because the one they brought me was dirty. The lo mein was so salty I could not eat it. Very decent buffet that has lots of your traditional options and the price can't be beat. I've only had the buffet but would recommend this as a solid takeout option based upon what I've sampled. They used to have a killer bang-bang shrimp knockoff on the buffet that would have easily solidified this as a five-star inexpensive buffet but to my chagrin it's no longer featured.
