    Lunch combo

Conveniently located off of 101 & Thunderbird. We stopped in to get quick lunch on Saturday. We all decided to get their lunch special. The soup and salad were delicious. The salad dressing was spot on. All the food from teriyaki to katsu to tempura was absolutely yummy. We enjoyed our lunch; however, the portion size was really small. I recommend going for the dinner portion if you're very hungry or order few appetizers or sushi to complement. Service was excellent and friendly. Enjoy!!

Was in the area and found this place. The sushi was super good and they have so many roll options, it was hard to pick lol I ended up getting the zinger roll, mando roll and k3. Seriously all so delicious with the zinger being my very favorite. The quality was great. The sauce on the mando roll is different than other traditional baked rolls and it was so delicious, can put that sauce on anything haha! The servers were all so sweet and attentive. They seem to have a good amount of seating, which is nice. Definitely will be coming back to try more! Highly recommend!

Our first visit was great! We were celebrating my nephews birthday and had a large party. Rayne was a great server. She was welcoming, attentive and didn't miss any of our requests throughout our stay. Bao (manager) was friendly and very helpful when some food didn't arrive. He rectified the situation, comped the dish and ensured all was happy. He also checked on us a couple times after. Hubby and I enjoyed our beef teriyaki & shrimp/veggie tempura plates. Served with rice, salad & soup for around $22. The restaurant allowed my in-laws to bring in a homemade cake, keeping it refrigerated until serving. Very kind of them.

If it's good enough for professional athletes, it's good enough for me. It's definitely a more Americanized style of sushi with mostly exotic rolls and deep fried tempuras. It's tasty and they have a good happy hour price. Not super Japanese but the food is good and the service is friendly.

Come here very Often, definitely the best sushi spot in town and in the valley. Great customer service always on top of it. Every time we go we see the same people eating here as well.

Found this little gem by accident. The service was great, thank you Kim. And the sushi came quick, and was delicious. 4 stars for our 1st visit only because a couple rolls were, for me, just a bit bland. But we will be back and I do believe this review will be updated to a 5 star. Pictures have details on what we ordered.

Menu has photos which I always appreciate

Hubby and I went in during happy hour, probably like 3:45p/4p and it was pretty empty which we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We were welcomed and seated right away and our server was so sweet. Very friendly staff. Very clean environment. Ordered 5 rolls and an app and came out with the complimentary miso which I'm always a fan of. Food came out fast and we ate til we couldn't eat anymore!! It was wonderful sushi. Will definitely be back.

We started with the Ahi Tuna Crispy Rice, which was perfectly crispy with fresh, flavorful tuna on top. We also ordered the Hamachi Sashimi, which melted in your mouth and tasted incredibly fresh. For sushi, we had the Sake Roll and added the seared miso butter, which took the salmon to another level and was one of our favorite bites of the meal. The highlight of the night was when Chef David surprised us with one of his specials: seared yellowtail. It was absolutely incredible--lightly seared, buttery, and packed with flavor. If it's available, don't hesitate to order it! For our signature roll, we tried the Harumi Roll. It was good, but after seeing and tasting more of the menu, we both agreed we would probably order the Yellowtail Trio instead next time. To pair with dinner, we had the Montepulciano, and it was an excellent choice. Smooth, flavorful, and a perfect complement to the sushi. Harumi continues to be one of those places where the quality is consistently outstanding. Between the fresh fish, creative dishes, and attentive chefs, it's hard to make a bad choice here. We'll definitely be back to try even more of the menu!

The sashimi appetizer was probably the best part, fresh, nice thick cuts, and it even came with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. The chicken katsu was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and came with a good amount of salad. The ramen, though, was kind of disappointing, $9 for basically instant noodles and half an egg. The shrimp fried rice was solid, not greasy and a good portion. The spider roll had way too much batter, so you could barely taste the crab. The tuna bomb was small, just a bite-sized tuna-avocado roll, but the tuna pieces were pretty generous. The chicken karaage had good flavor but the batter was a bit thick, and the asparagus roll was just okay. Overall, it was a mix of hits and misses. The sashimi and fried rice were definitely the stars, especially with that fresh wasabi. Give it a little improvement here and there, and this place could really turn out great under the new ownership.

I opted to forego the "show" ... being seated at a community table for the chef show. But clearly this is the primary focus of this restaurant. But on the flip side, it looked and sounded like the people at the community "show" tables were having a ball. Lots of birthdays and celebrations. Anyway, great menu. Started with a couple inspired cocktails, and moved on to the fish taco's and lamb chop appetizers. Outstanding. Only nit, our server disappeared, and the app plates were left on table when our main courses showed up. We were also never serviced for another round of drinks. For our mains I ordered the Wagyu filet with asparagas and fried rice sides cooked medium. My dining guest ordered the salmon roll and a side of fried rice. My steak came out gray and rare, no sear crust at all. Very disappointing. On the flip side my dining partners portion of fried rice was astoundingly large, and good. Never did see our server again until the check was brought over. We were not even offered the dessert menu other than the small pineapple sherbet that came with my meal. Parking is brutal here. The first thing that stood out was the beautiful interior design. The space feels modern, stylish, and inviting, making it perfect for a date night or even a solo dining experience. The aesthetic bar area creates a great atmosphere, and while we chose to sit inside, they also have a lovely covered patio for those who prefer outdoor seating. The food and customer service were both excellent. Portions were generous, flavors were on point, and every dish we ordered was enjoyable. We started with the Heart Attack, garlic edamame, and shrimp tempura appetizers. The garlic edamame was especially memorable--I loved the addition of sesame oil, which added so much flavor and made it stand out from the typical version. To drink, we ordered green tea and a Sapporo on draft. The Sapporo was light, crisp, and airy--definitely something I would order again. For our main dishes, we enjoyed the Sensei Roll, the Screaming "O" Roll, and a nigiri plate from the happy hour menu. Some of their specialty rolls are $50/roll!!! I repeat- FiIFTY American dollars per roll. I don't know that I've seen prices that high even in Scottsdale or Las Vegas. There's no reason that this casual sushi spot should be charging like they're off the coast of Japan in an elite cliffside restaurant. The food is very good, but it's not "I need to finance this meal", $50/roll good. Also.. I asked for the WiFi password (literally titled "Haru Sushi Guest") so I could work on my laptop if needed, just to be told they were not allowed to give out their WiFi password out to anyone (even the staff aren't allowed to use it). Kind of silly to be gatekeeping something as simple as WiFi in the year 2026. I would have loved to make this my new working lunch spot, but between the egregiously high prices and the WiFi witness protection program, I'll be skipping it next time.

A small downside was that the bar tables are pretty tiny, and the chairs don't have hooks to hang a purse, which made things feel a little cramped. I ordered the Spicy Creamy Ramen, and it was delicious! I'm not someone who enjoys extremely spicy food, but the spice level was just right enough heat without overpowering the flavors. The ramen noodles are thick and have a great chewy texture. My partner ordered the Chicken Chashu, which he also enjoyed, but his favorite part was the Old Fashioned. He's already talking about coming back just for another one! The only thing I'd recommend improving is how the ramen bowls are served. Because they're so hot, our server had to place his thumb inside the rim of the bowl to carry it, and I noticed his thumb accidentally touched the hard-boiled egg in my partner's ramen. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but it wasn't very sanitary. Finding a different way to handle the bowls would make the dining experience even better. Overall, the food was excellent, and we'd definitely come back.
