Great spot for some sushi! We came here tonight and it was a very enjoyable experience. We were sat immediately with a party of 5. Service was prompt -- our server was also very kind. To start, we had the chili edamame -- some mild heat and super yummy! I ordered the roll with spicy tuna and cucumber and topped with salmon, thin lemon slices and sriracha. Super delicious and always my favorite! I also had a Las Vegas roll and it hit the spot as well -- perfectly fried deliciousness. Everyone else enjoyed their food including my 5 year old -- she loved the teriyaki chicken bowl! For dessert, we enjoyed mochi ice cream and the fried bananas. We love mochi and prefer the strawberry flavor. The fried banana were served with vanilla ice cream and oh so good -- panko crusted banana for a crunchy exterior and soft and sweet center. As I walked in I was greeted so kindly by a young lady with great customer service which is always a plus. I got an appetizer that sounded different because no other place serves shrimp lettuce wrap with crab and it was so unique and so good such a refreshing appetizer every bite tasted better than the other. The Ikura was AMAZING absolutely 0 lingering fish taste I had to go for a round 2 not talking about the orgasm roll with no rice and it was prepared so perfectly. The presentation of the fire roll was super cool and tasted even better if ur okay with spicy rolls u need to get this I love spicy so it was a HIT for me. So much deliciousness was packed into a bite. Yum. I could eat so many of those. It had great fresh flavor, perfect spice level. Omg. So so good. Spicy yellowtail roll: a classic, nothing surprising, but very good. -the orgasm: snow crab mix with shrimp tempura wrapped in tuna...if I could only use one word...yassssss. I loved it. I'm definitely coming back and getting this again. Shrimp lettuce wrap: rice paper with shrimp tempura, crab mix, and lettuce with spicy Mayo for dipping. I loved this. The balance and different textures were so good. I would also eat this again. Super tasty. Scorpion roll: shrimp tempura with crab and tuna and whitefish and masago. While it was very good and I enjoyed it, it wasn't my favorite, but it's probably bc I liked the other items so much. I walked by tables with bento boxes as we left and they also looked so good. This place was such a cute and delicious spot. We got the spicy garlic edamame and three rolls. I only remember the name of two which was the fire roll and is indeed on fire. My friend got the lobster roll which was soooo good and filling. I can't remember The name of my last roll but it was Delicious. Every single roll was fresh and good. As they advertise, Tokyo Lobby definitely offers most honorable food and gracious service. Lunch today was my first visit to this cozy little Japanese delight. I've driven by for years but never really at the right time of day to stop. Definitely should have made that time before now. Full disclosure: I'm a sushi/sashimi traditionalist, not a roll guy. I'd probably rate Tokyo a 5 on the rolls I saw prepared, but the traditional presentations were just a shade short. And the short comings were definitely more of my idiosyncratic preferences than an issue of substance. Ingredients were fresh and most tasty. Gyoza are always my first go to in evaluating an unfamiliar Japanese restaurant. To my disappointment, these were fried, rather than pan seared. That said, the dumplings were perfectly cooked and some of the best tasting I've had in a long time. The tako sunomono was awesome with a most generous portion of tentacle tips and a marvelously umami preparation of savory brined vegetables. Our 12 piece sashimi main course was aesthetically presented and the fish was excellent. My rub is a familiar refrain with me and American Japanese restaurants. If I ran the world, (I'm ready anytime the world is willing to let me) I would have portioned the 12 unctuous pieces of fish into 24 smaller bites. The food quantity in total was very satisfactory, but the sashimi experience would be enhanced with more delicate bites. Just my preference and a common criticism with me. The same analysis goes for the traditional tekka maki tuna roll. Beautiful ingredients, excellent rice, but the fish/rice ratio erred on the side of the fish. My iron pot of hot tea deserves recognition. It was just a perfect compliment to everything. Tokyo Lobby offers an excellent selection of sake too. Wish it wasn't lunch and I had a designated driver. I'd have loved to indulge excessively! Watching other meals served, the tempura looked to be the crisp golden little delights it should be, and the bento boxes were most generous. I'll be back to further explore the offerings here. One oddity. A single menu per table shared by everyone. Don't quite understand why, but in retrospect it makes reviewing the fare and making selections a more social process that actually enhanced leisurely enjoyment of the dining experience. Nothing not to like about Tokyo Lobby that could not be fixed for this reviewer with a little more knife work on the fish! read more

Take out order. The sunomono was mushy and too sweet. The Wasabi that came with the roll was in a condiment packet, and was horseradish dyed green. Service was good, food was ok. I ordered a shaggy roll, cucumber sunomono and orgasm appetizer. The orgasm was so filled with premixed mayo and crab it was like a mouthful of sandwich mayo. When I told them, the man behind the sushi bar gave me a very dirty look, challenging me that the other roll I ordered has spicy mayo. Which I said yes is fine, but an overload of white mayo is a bit disgusting in my opinion. And in return to that he made another face looking disgusted by my remark. This is a little gem of a place and we are happy to have stumbled upon it. Stopped by for a quick bite before hitting the furniture store, better to not shop hangry We ordered edamame,the soft shell crab roll and the ichi roll. All were fresh and delicious! I appreciated the late 70s music and the service was fantastic! Our server Saki is definitely an asset to the company. She was friendly, efficient and courteous. My kids like this place. I got sushi and teriyaki chicken. The service was on point and everyone that works this establishment are extremely nice. We sat on the patio and it was chilly so they turned on the heaters for us. I'm not a fan of sushi but I thought I would give it a shot because my kids love it. A neighborhood favorite! I haven't eaten here in a couple of years and saw that they are a new restaurant on GrubHub recently. I knew that I had to get some lunch from here and I most definitely did that today. Their food is as delicious as I remember it. Hubby and I order entrees of the pork cutlet and the deluxe tempura. The amount of food can sometimes be different between sitting at the restaurant to eat or having it to-go. But not here. I received substantial amounts of yummy goodness as I would if I was eating at the restaurant, with leftovers to boot. Staff packed everything very securely and GrubHub delivered much quicker than the quoted time frame. I'm so happy to still have these folks around and will continue to support! read more

My family lives on this side of town, so when I go to visit, we often get food from Tokyo Lobby. Sometimes to-go, other times we eat inside. I have yet to have any menu item that wasn't good. My personal favorites are the Vegas Roll and Beef Udon. They seem to use good ingredients as everything is very flavorful and consistent each time. Even simply the fried rice is better quality than at most restaurants. The sushi menu is filled with all different options no matter what kind you like...rolls, sashimi, etc. Their salmon and grilled eel options are especially good. The restaurant is small, but there is an outdoor area that is really nice to sit at when the weather is nice. The times I have had a sit down lunch or dinner, service was fast and friendly. They always greet you nicely when you walk in and when you leave. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. read more

We saw the great reviews so we decided to stay. Thick unskilled cuts of fish were laying in thick slabs of mess on top of poorly rolled sushi. Tasteless, bland and boring come to mind.
