I always come here with appointment so I dont think COVID is impacting my experience here. The staff and doctor all wear masks, protective shields, and gloves. And they change very frequently with each patient. Been coming to Dr.xu for three years now. She's professional and very friendly. The top reason I come here every time is that you have the flexibility over the treatment you are about to receive. Unlike with other dentist, who looks at you tooth and expect you to follow their standard plan, Dr.Xu and the staff there spend their time to explain you why they recommend this plan, and the benefits In long term future. I'll do 10 start if I can . Dr. Xu's office is the best Dental clinic office that I had ever been. We had been came to Dr.Xu's office for over two years now , and we referred all our friend whoever need dental help to them . Best of the best service that their team provided . Everyone work there are super + nice and friendly, excellent customer service and greatest professionalism! Regarding the price , you get paid what you get . I used went to a different dental office and did pay a lower price , guess what , I'm here now. So glad find this Dental office and really appreciate all their efforts and their help. When I first entered her clinic. Her staff makes me feel very comfortable. Xu did not charge for my visit and examination fees. She patiently explained my dental condition and quickly gave a treatment plan. I removed 4 wisdom teeth at that time. Doctor XU was very professional and did it very quickly. You will feel his professionalism and she will tell you the precautions very carefully. But after I went home, I felt uncomfortable. I have been going to Dr. Xu's clinic for couple of years now. All I can say is she is the best dentist I have been so far in my life. She can literally tell your teeth health just by looking at it. She make sure that your teeth gets the best treatment for a healthy and longer life. I have recently moved to Northern CA for my job but I couldn't go to any other dentist and made a visit back in San gabriel just to get the same treatment as before. I don't want to leave even one single star for their poor and cheating practice. 1. Very unprofessional. She (the dentist) claimed she had experience with pediatric dentist and be kids-friendly. Totally not the case. My daughter had cavity in one single teeth, she filled two teeth and BONDED them. Now I couldn't floss her teeth. Plus, being kid-friendly turned out a huge joke. None of her team knew how to calm or distract kids. 'Don't cry' was the only thing out of their mouth. 2. Cheating practice: The whole treatment was about 30 mins, at most. They claimed to my insurance for $600 and paid $400. I'd report to my insurance. read more

My mom has been a patient at Dr. Xu for about 4 years now. When I got my dental insurance, my mom recommended me to her saying how great she is. Since her office was in San Gabriel, and I live in Temple City, it was a pretty easy decision for me to pick her as my dentist. I had made a Saturday appointment for teeth cleaning. Her office was very clean and felt homely when I went. It didn't take long after I filled out all the necessary forms to be called in. I had my X-Rays taken by one of her assistants, which was painless. Then she led me to a different room where Dr. Xu came in. Dr. Xu is a very polite and friendly person. Before she started cleaning my teeth, she inspected them to make sure there wasn't any cavities or other things that need to be addressed. Then on to my teeth cleaning. I have had my teeth cleaned by several different dentists before, and I must say Dr. Xu's technique is much more thorough, and she really takes the time to make sure she got every part of the tooth. This dentist definitely cares more about the money than her patients. My mom heard of her practice from a friend that said she does X-ray check up and teeth cleaning for $45. My mom wanted me to go to her because she speaks mandarin. Her office kept trying to push the "deep cleaning" which was $300 onto us. They said it's not up to you it depends on your teeth's conditions before we decide if you get to do the $45 regular cleaning or $300 deep cleaning. If after the X-ray you don't want to pay for the deep cleaning then you need to pay us $25 for the check up. My Mom got super confused by them and explained that her friend recommended us to come here to do the regular teeth cleaning. The dentist literally started yelling at my Mom in Mandarin "I don't care who you are or who you know this is our policy it doesn't change". Completely unprofessional. After doing the check up, she kept saying "you need the deep cleaning but since you insist then I'll do the regular one". Then what was the point of her giant fuss?! I've done a teeth cleaning almost every year since I was a kid, I've never had one that was so rushed. During which, she kept telling me what was wrong with my teeth and naming prices that were in the hundreds. At the end we asked for my X-ray pictures and they printed out 2 pictures that were just bigger than a quarter on regular paper. I will never return to this money sucking place. read more

Her price is OK. But the work and attitude is poor. She only filled my one tooth but asked me paid for two. I went there to have my one tooth filled by cash. After her a simple check, asked me to fix 2 teeth. Because the another nearby had problems as well. I didn't hesitate even to make sure what the problem of that tooth is because she is a doctor. So i paid 150 to get both filled. But i felt she just did on my one tooth. After 3 months, the only one filling is damaged. I went back again. She said it is not in warranty. She can help to fill by dark color filling for free one time only. I have no choice. After that i change my dental clinic, my new doctor did X-ray and double confirmed she only did one tooth for me. But she charged me two. I called back, her reason is not acceptable. So pay attention before you go there. read more

First off let me start by saying that Dr Jing Xu and her staff at Elegant Dental Center were very professional and courteous. On top of that, they were very understanding about my past experience with my old dentist. The office is nice and clean. I didn't really have to wait long to be called in. I went in to Dr. Xu's office to get my wisdom teeth pulled and was terrified. The dentist that I went too before to get them pulled really hurt me. I was planning on getting them all pulled out that same day, but after he did the first one. I said that's it no more! It was too painful. I could not even eat regular food for about two weeks. I told Dr Jing Xu about my bad experience and she said "DON'T WORRY everything's going to be just fine". I went in the room practically shaking. Every time she did something to me. She kept asking me "are you ok, let me know if it hurts" After my bad experience. She made sure I was ok every step of the way. When she was done pulling the rest of my wisdoms. She was very thorough explaining to me what or what not to do for faster recovery. To Dr. Jing Xu and her staff, I just want to say Thank You so much for being honest and understanding! I have been a patient of Dr. Xu since 2011, I worked in the building she is located back then so at first It was a convenience thing and secondly the pain I was experiencing lead me go to her sooner than i really wanted (because I hated going to the dentist over all bad experiences in the past with other dentist ) but she changed all that for me.Her office is nice and clean Jenny (her assistant) is super nice very friendly and pleasant. I am beyond HAPPY that I found a professional dentist like her she is beyond PATIENT with me and all her patients, she listens and works at your pace (I am the biggest baby so she usually has to stop often so I can get my self together) I have had regular and deep cleaning done, my root canal and my most recent this week my wisdom extraction. I am so pleased with all services she even called me to follow up and made sure I was feeling well after my extraction because like I mentioned I am a big baby and I cry all the time so that made me feel like she really cares! Dr. Xu is by far the nicest most professional dentist I have ever been treated by, she is so patient and caters to your needs by listening and going at your pace if you are in pain or scared. never had a problem with billing, or scheduling or anything she is honestly the best of the best. I've been with this clinic for over 5 years. Although, I've moved 3 times since, I've still come to this clinic. I feel very comfortable here. Dr. Xu is very professional and detail oriented. She's always told me the price(s) upfront and there was never any hidden charges. She's also very polite about suggestions and never pressured me into something I didn't want to do. I appreciated the phone call from the dentist assistant 24 hours in advance to remind me about my appointment and once Dr. Xu called me to talk about any concerns I may have. Dr. Jing Xu is kind, thorough, knowledgeable, and skilled. Her warm personality put me at ease, and she was very gentle and reassuring. She doesn't try to push un-needed work, and never rushes you. If you have questions she'll answer them thoroughly, other than that it is a very quick and painless process. They knew exactly what my insurance would cover, and I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket. I spent remarkably little time waiting and I have recommend my whole family to her.
