The male dentist, Dr Lee DEEP clean my teeth for only 35 minutes and charged my insurance company $500+. This is plain robbery. I went in and came out looking the same. He did a "marvelous" job on the cleaning. Also, he cleaned my teeth so hard and created a gap between my front teeth. Our family of four has been coming to Agape Dental for over 5 years. We have had excellent experiences each time we visit. Our twin boys are now going on 6 years of age and we consider their lack of fear associated with going to see "Dr. Daisy" the direct result of her approach, her friendly demeanor, and her talent as a dental professional. Malpractice! Injection went too deep into my muscles and feels like it messed up my saliva glands. Also a tooth that didn't hurt, now hurts every bite. Horrible experience in getting my next filling done. Prior visit, I came in to check my right side back tooth by Dentist Daisy, which they didn't find anything, so they checked both back tooth. All of a sudden they said there was something on my left back tooth -- an old cavity that need to be refilled because it leaked? Which I didn't feel any pain or sensitivity in. They did xrays that visit to check both left and right side back tooth. Dentist Daisy was sweet, explains everything, very compassionate. Of course I went ahead and made the appointment to get it done. I am very experienced with cavities, had over 13 as a kid, which also needs to be replaced and after 10years or less, and maintained every so often with usual checkups.So I understand how a numbing, needle, and cavity repair should feel. Dentist ETHAN - HORRIBLE! I got a different dentist for this vist - for my repair, the doctor stabbed the needle in super deep, and left it there longer than any experience ever had. I understand the needle will be there, and I will feel pressure but not like the way he did it. For one small cavity repair, I swear he (needle) numbed way more than needed. He didn't put or rub the prior gel/paste numbing thing in the right area. The needle hurt like heck!! Vs I know there will be pain, pressure -- but what was the point of the prior gel numb if I could feel the whole needle experience. That gel/paste usually helps alleviate a bit (not all) of that needle pain. Most or I should say all dentist should be able to see a patient's reaction such as facial expression, making pain noise, etc....nope, this dentist didn't care. He doesn't notice any reactions, and says to just raise your hand if anything which is impossible unless I end up pushing his arms which is drilling my teeth, one sudden move could cut my mouth. What was worse, was in the evening (over 12 hours later) I didn't even want to open my jaw to bite any food. Every time I opened my jaw to eat hot food, I can feel such sharp heavy pain in my saliva glands. It was horrible. I kept rubbing my left side cheek to stop the pain or rub it out. Apparently room temperature or cold food or water didn't cause that reaction. Next day, my back tooth was throbbing. Also feel like a battle happened in my left side tooth area, the gums are sensitive, and feel like its recovering right now. WTF? I've had over 13 cavities which means over 26 cavity filling changes done/and redone, not including new cavities. Never had I ever experienced something like this. I will not be coming back. Dentist Ethan Lee is very careless, on top of horrible customer service. I had to walk over to the restroom to get my water to rinse my mouth after, even though the assistant asked him if she should get the water. He didn't ask me how I felt, nor did he ever notice my painful reaction from the injection and discomfort from the more than usual splattering of stuff in my face. I understand some dentist or doctors are just not caring or compassionate, customer service folks which is fine as long as the job gets done, not creates a problem that wasn't there before. Front desk receptionist was nice, review is not for her. I think they try to juice your insurance, even if you don't need it. When I went in to get my cavity repaired, I asked them to make sure I still need the filling because my right side back tooth was the sensitive one. The assistant tried tell me I need to re-do xrays which I did the last visit. Even though I let her know, she insisted which I denied --- DUDE, stop juicing me! I'm hoping whatever cavity they fixed was actually something that really did need fix vs insurance fraud and just putting hole, and making my tooth sensitive vs fine before. My left tooth area was not sensitive prior to that visit. I feel like all of this could have been avoided if I didn't let dentist Ethan perform any work on me. I feel like he can't do an injection correctly, nor put numbing gel in the correct place, or fill a leak cavity correctly. Update: 3-4 days later and my tooth still hurts a lot when I chew on something as simple as a slice of cold sandwich ham, a chip, or warm steak. Left side saliva glands still feel messed up; sharp sting pain when I'm opening my mouth, about to eat something tasty or hot. The left back area still has pain around the gums, feels like it is recovering from a cut or bruise. 4 day later I went back to the see Dentist Daisy (NOT Ethan) instead to check on it. I feel like what dentist Ethan did could not be fixed. Dentist Daisy was sweet, listened, and gave me two prescriptions - 1 for cut up gum by the tooth, 1 for pain, and a followup appointment. She said at least it I can still feel my left face (extreme case) which can happen to an injection to the muscle or nerve like mine...WOW! read more

Do not come to this dental office. They just open up a new office in 314 W. Valley Blvd San Gabriel. And they put an Ad in the newspaper $45 for dental cleaning. I took my son for the cleaning. but DDS Daisy Lee told me my son need a deep cleaning for $200. And told me other dentist will charge $300. Because They are grand opening that why they only charge $200. So I let them do the deep cleaning for my son. But later on I found out other dentists charge between $90-$120. Zin Dental Group charge $120 "2125 W Brea Canyon Rd. Diamond Bar". I fell like being cheated by Agape Dental and DDS Daisy Lee. They should refund me $80. This is my new place for dental services. I have had previous visits to other places and I do not like them as much as this one. I like how the staff are friendly, especially the doctors. Dr. Debora is very careful when it comes to her patients. She would stop and ask just to make sure you are doing okay/fine. There is another doctor in the office, which is her husband. They are both very nice and friendly. The instruments are also new and clean! I will be recommending my family and friends to this office! Bare minimal dental care. During my exam he barely checked my gums, only took two X rays of my mouth (only in specific areas where I complained of discomfort), and told me that I didn't need regular cleanings after I'd have been benefitting from them for years. The dentist also told me that I didn't have a cavity where another dentist told me I was starting to get a cavity 3 years ago. Usually, this wouldn't bother me but I have some pain and sensitivity in that area where he said there was no cavity or observable problem. He refused to give me an explanation of what it could be. The dentist did say, your insurance hardly pays so it's not worth it for me to treat it. The dentist wasn't going to budge on his diagnosis so I offered to pay for the cleaning and he said that it would be $50 cash only. The dentist refused to use my insurance for the cleaning because...again it didn't reimburse him for the service adequately. His staff is friendly but he seems to gauge his treatment time based on the patient's ability to pay. read more

I broke my tooth and called asking to be seen right away. Even though they were booked, they were able to fit me in during their lunch ( 45mins after i called). Once i arrived, the place is pretty small. The lady at the front desk was friendly. I waited about 30 mins to be seen. The nurse who set up for the Doctor was very kind, friendly and social. Made me feel comfortable. Dr Debora was excellent. She wasn't able to do any work on my tooth seeing that it needed to be surgically removed. I recently visited this dental office due to a toothache. When I called to make an appointment, I was seen the same day and I did not wait long in the waiting room. Once I was seen I was explained my problem and given an explanation of my problem and given options to resolve my tooth pain. Decided to receive treatment the same day and I am pleasantly surprised by the results. I did not feel any pain or soreness once the numbness went away. I filled my prescription with anticipation that I would continue to feel pain the following day but I did not need any of it. I was not sore or in pain after my visit. Everyone at Agape dental is very welcoming and friendly. I've been seeing Dr. Daisy for many years. I met her at another dental office where she was a dental hygienist, about 13 years ago. A few years later, I was so happy to, surprisingly, be assigned to her office at Agape Dental where she's a dentist. I was very happy to walk in there and see her! My experience these last several years has been amazing. The prices are the lowest I could find for a crown, cleanings, x-rays, fillings, and exams. My insurance covers most but whatever I pay out-of-pocket is very reasonable. Whatever she was not able to do herself, she referred me to specialists who accepted my insurance and were excellent as well. I had an emergency a few weeks ago when my tooth was aching more than ever in my life. I couldn't sleep and nothing helped. I was desperate for help and I was so relieved that they returned my call as soon as they opened and they invited me to visit the office and deal with the issue as soon as I could get there. Within 40 minutes, I was done with the treatment and in no pain at all. She referred me to a root canal specialist, who was great. I'll be back at Agape next week to finalize the filling. I have been beyond satisfied with Agape, especially Dr. Daisy. Dr. Lee is excellent as well according to my dad. My dad got a root canal from Dr. Lee and said it was the fastest, least painful root canal he's ever gotten and it was about half the price as his other dentist! Dr. Debora has been my dentist for over 10 years. Every time I walk into the office, I always come out feeling happy and cared for. I especially had good experiences during Ortho treatment. Dr. Debora was so patient with me throughout my 4 year treatment. I came in many times for re-ties and other various operations/adjustments that needed to take place. However, I do have a serious gag reflex; but Dr. Debora was able to work around that and give me quality, pain-free care. Angie is not professional, I simply asked her if my HMO insurance will cover my teeth cleaning cost. She told me she would not be able to help unless I go to the office physically. Why would I do that when I can provide the information over the phone? Then after some research I learned that preventive care is free whether its HMO or PPO. This tells me angie surely doesn't understand how insurance works and just wanted to lure a unknowing patient into the office perhaps to rip them off? Who knows? I picked this dentist office because we wanted to be seen by Dr. Debora, but we ended up being seen by a Chinese old male dentist. Worst cleaning I've ever received. He spent less than 10 minutes on my teeth, not thorough at all. He told my boyfriend he needed to get a filling, which now, after 5-6 months later, has CRACKED his tooth, and a piece of his TOOTH and a part of the filling has fallen off!!! Very shoddy job of filling the tooth! And now he has to go get it fixed! I had to write a review to warn people. For the love of me, I can't remember the name of the dentist. I've found this new dental office from newspaper. It has a 30% discount for teeth cleaning. I don't have the insurance so I made an appointment. Oh boy! I've made a big mistake. He is somehow friendly but not too profession because I was there for services first and then another customer came in so he has stop to service me and went to the other customer. At the end, my teeth are not clean well, how disappointmented; his service got a big discount too. What's more? When you are first time visiting the dentist, they'll give a new teeth brush. I read about them through this website so I decided to change my son's dentist to this office. I don't regret it one bit. Dr. Debora is awesome!!! She's so nice and patience with her patients :). I saw how she treated my son with care like he is her favorite patient. I see that she treats all of them the same way. Then, I decided to fix my teeth (which I haven't been to a dentist for more than 10 years) with her. I love it, they treat me with care and if you don't have insurance, she can work with you and do treatments bit by bit. If for some reason you don't have the money and you decided to reschedule, she will be happy to do so. Unlike some places, when it shows that you can't afford something, they will treat you like crap and treatments will be like they are doing them for free. She is AWESOME!!! Staffs are friendly just like her. Sometimes I don't even want to leave...that's how much I love it there. Unfortunately, she's only at this location on Mondays and another doctor is there for the other days. But my son had been treated by the other doctor and he seems friendly too.
