Though I wish there was a place to hang my coat, she allowed me to take my time to settle in before we began. Lia's consultation with me was concise and informative, explaining how the process would work, easing my nerves as she was aware it was my first time. The studio itself We settled on a natural finish, with the largest lash being 12mm. There isn't much to say about the process itself, as I ended up falling asleep halfway through the hour! I was able to listen to a podcast off my phone without any trouble, and even caught some of the alluring lullabies that play inside the studio. There was little to no pinching at all, marking up the reputation of the studio to the upmost expertise and quality of service. The session was over before I knew it (definite A+ on the speed) and Lia provided a cute mirror and handheld fan to view her work. The lashes were placed perfectly, and provided beautiful, yet subtle volume to my natural eyes to accentuate their look. No signs of redness or stinging at all: just a gorgeous, luxurious look. From this experience, I know what beauty sleep means now-- especially if I wake up looking prettier with a new set of lashes!

I travel from Brooklyn to Queens for lash extensions. My first experience with Cozy this year was great, my cashmere lashes lasted at least 5 weeks even though I went to the beach and had gotten them wet/didn't take care of them. My next experience, I tried mink. I got a different tech and after two whole weeks, I barely have any left. Each day, so many lashes would fall off without my real lash hair attached, which means they probably didn't use enough glue or there was an issue with the glue that they used. Unfortunately, since these lash trips are quite the trek for me, I value consistency in all the techs. For Cozy to be a top tier lash place, all techs should have enough experience, so that even if I had to switch techs last minute, I would hope that whoever does it would produce the same results as long as they work for the same place. Cozy was really promising for me--it had every potential to be my go-to lash place. I hope that my honest review will have them consider making sure that their techs are consistently producing quality work, or for them to do quality checks on the glue that they use. Even though Cozy offered me a discount to get this fixed, which I highly appreciate, I just don't have the time to go back to them until 4 weeks later, when I expect to get a new set.

I noticed they have a deal on yelp and I asked for an appointment and text them, "I'm buying the yelp deal" They text me: Did you buy already? I replied: Not yet.. They text me: You can pay cash here same price for you. But Use only one time . I agreed, although it was best for me to pay by card on yelp. I was accepted their offer by paying cash to help them out. I get there, she looks at my lashes and says she's going to charge me extra $10 for removal. I agreed, but informed technician at this point I had to purchase the yelp deal online for cash balancing. Hanna gets very defensive and says I can no longer get the deal if I buy online because it's only one time use. I then realize the fine print on the yelp says first time customer. However, they knew I was an existing customer when I text them and were allowing me to get the yelp deal as a one time use. Hanna was very rude about the situation and apparently called her boss who also denied accepting yelp deal if i purchased online. They did not honor what they text, picture attached. Had I purchased before I went in on yelp, I would have been fine. By trying to help and agreeing to pay cash, I was later denied on location. Beware of inconsistencies and bad customer service from this business.

I simply stated that I wanted it to look natural and went with JC curl, which is a slight curl. She also gave me thinner lashes since I wanted to go with the natural look and the length was 11. I was told that 12 is their longest length, which really didn't match up with reviews and pictures here so please double check if you want longer lashes! Other than that, the place was clean and played low music. No complaints at all. Definitely considering on doing a refill.

Lastly, in all my years going they have always run on time.

The results were absolutely perfect, exactly what she wanted. The best part might have been the price. For the quality and attention to detail, it was way more affordable than we expected. Given the great experience and the value, this will likely become her go-to nail spot whenever we're in the Flushing area. Worst Lash-Lift Experience Ever…read more I wish I'd read a review like this before walking into this salon. From start to (abrupt) finish, every red flag was waving: * Untrained technician. She literally propped the product manual against the lamp and read each step aloud while "working" on me. Confidence-shattering to say the least. * Skipped the key step. Instead of anchoring a silicone rod to my eyelid to lift the lashes, she brushed perm solution straight onto my flat lashes and claimed they were "too stubborn" to curl. * Chemical overkill. She reapplied the perm solution three times, insisting it would "soften" the hairs. By the third coat my eyes were burning and my gut told me to stop the service. * Damage done. I left with lashes so brittle and limp that I can't wear falsies, mascara, or even attempt another professional lift for the foreseeable future. * Tone-deaf resolution. Management offered to "redo" the service the very next day--after stripping nearly every ounce of strength from my natural lashes. Absolutely not. I'm now stuck in a months-long recovery routine of lash serums and gentle cleansing, all because basic training and client safety were ignored. If you value your natural lashes, steer clear of this place.

Initially, I only went to try out Fei Li, because Lence spoke so highly of her. In reality, she's not all that great. At first, I was her only customer so she spent a good amount of time on me and it wasn't bad. But later another one of her customers showed up so she started only paying attention to the other lady and did a really half-assed job on me. After she was finished with my facial, then she gave me some more attention and was nice to me again, but only so that I would make another appointment with her. Lence has it backwards. Fei Li is the pushy one, asking when I would like to come back and trying to get me to buy one of their packages. The lady at the counter (Lisa) is actually the one who was very nice. She asked me how I liked the facial and I told her that I didn't enjoy it and I wouldn't come back. Lisa apologized that my first experience didn't meet my expectations. She informed me that the salon has 6 different girls - I could try out each one and either rotate during each visit or request for a particular girl everytime. I wasn't obligated to stick with Fei Li. She handed me a business card and said I could call if I wanted to make another appointment. Lisa convinced me to come back for a second visit now that I knew that I could try out all the different girls. I could decide who I liked most and only request her. Also, it is a very nice place. They keep it very tidy. They have a beautiful tree in the front and beautiful decorations. Once, I complimented on the setup of the place and Lisa told me that her boss set up everything on her own. For her to have done it by herself, she's got to be very talented. The place looks amazing. I've been going back ever since. I tried different girls and they each have their strong points. However, I use Daisy more than the rest of them because her English is a little more developed. She isn't always available so I will make an appointment with whoever is available at the time I need. Lisa will translate for me anyways so the language barrier isn't a problem. Lisa showed me their products. They use legit products. Most of them are from France. You may find lower prices elsewhere but Jing's prices are decent and fair because of the quality of their products. Oh, just a tip, when you call to make an appointment, make sure you're speaking to Lisa. If not, your appointment is very likely to be messed up. It's pretty frustrating. Sometimes your appointment will not be written down in the book, or your appointment will be made with someone else that you didn't request. I always ask for Lisa before I make an appointment, or I'll call back at another time. Sometimes she's not there. She's not there everyday, but most of the time she is. Besides Lisa, the girls all don't speak English very well. Daisy knows a bit more than the rest, but the rest either don't speak English at all or very little. Don't worry about it though because Lisa will translate for you. Overall, this is definitely a place that you want to go to, at least give it a try. You'll have a good experience. read more

I am in love with Jing's. I love it so much I don't want to share it and almost didn't write a review. But I just had to respond to the poster who said "the lady that handles the payment gets really bitchy everytime i turn down their packages to the point of entertainment", (and who said some other not so nice things....) The beautiful, gracious, lovely, darling woman at the desk has no incentive to sell you a package. zero. The only person who benefits from buying a package is THE CUSTOMER. The total amount of an individual service drops considerably when you buy a package. I think I paid $560 for a weekday spa package...which means I get a full body one-hour deep tissue massage, a steam, a sauna, a shower, some tea, and delicious whole wheat digestive crackers, and some rest and relaxation on a fancy sofa with fluffy pillows for $56 ! And for 10 times ! No wait, make that 11, I got the first one free because I bought a package. An unbelievable deal. Buying a package is also a favorable nod to the person who gave you the service, and naturally they have an incentive for you to buy a package! They want to please you! They want you to come back of course! I want to come back forever! I have never felt any pressure whatsoever to buy a package, and I went to the spa many times for single services before buying a package. Also, each of the massage therapists and facialists and aestheticians has a unique style and skill, so I try them all! A deep tissue massage, a lymph drainage massage, a hot stone massage, body treatments, a super duper crazy out-of-this-world fall asleep facial, or a squeaky clean deep cleaning facial with extractions. They are all amazing... Oh, and the beautiful lady at the front desk can help you with the ins and outs of the spa, and any questions you may have. If she isn't smiling at you, maybe you are not being so nice...Be nice! She always smiles at me...;) read more

For the price this place charges, it wasn't bad at all. I really wanted to give more stars seeing that others may have been happy with their experience. But the cons outweighed the pros a bit too much. Pros: Facial, extractions, mask, my skin did not looks puffy/red when leaving which could be possible when getting deep extractions. Cons: I wasn't too thrilled about being in the same room as another person in the next bed who was resting after her facial. I had called for an appointment and I guess they just double book the same person. Way too long of down time laying there, bed was uncomfortable - no support considering it was 2 hours long laying flat with no pillow or ankle supports, loud talking in reception area, they (staff) were eating lunch and it was quite strong so I smelled Chinese food during my rest time, her cell phone went off three times and she took the call. It was hot. Sweaty even. And I don't want to say this in case I'm falsely accusing, but I don't think they change the sheets between people - which skeeves me out. And you have to change into this wrap top thing which I think isn't fresh either. Lastly, the extractions were good, but they were quite painful - I've had facials for almost 10 years now - this one topped the painful scale. So, there you have it. For the price, yes it was a good deal. I think she got the job done. It was a basic facial with lots of rubbing of the lotion and downtime with two masks. I appreciate the good job done, but there wasn't enough exfoliation. I still had dry flaky skin patches when I returned home. I'm not completely turned off by this place yet. I would go again as a last resort when I need an emergency facial. But my quest will continue to find a new go to place on a budget. read more

My friend recommended me to come to this salon; said it was definitely worth it for the price. I decided to visit, and the prices were honestly very cheap, especially with the 20% discount for first time customers! But honestly, my experience at this place was horrible. Let me explain why. First, I honestly question the cleanliness of this place. While I was waiting, I saw a customer get up, and the worker just folding up her blanket and not changing the sheets. The worker took me in next, and put me on the exact same bed she was on, and gave me the exact same sheet the last customer was using. Then when i was waiting, i saw a few huge bugs, bugs that I've never seen in my life! One ended up biting me, and a few hours later, left me a huge rash as well. I need to see how bad my rash is going to become; I'm applying medicine but nothing right now seems to work. I'm definitely going back to the store to complain about this. Second, I question the actual skills of these workers. I felt that these workers have no license whatsoever. Their technique was horrible and painful. The extraction felt like someone was just picking at my face very roughly. I saw no positive results from having this facial, and I feel that i wasted my money and my time at this place. I would never come to this place again, and would never recommend anyone to come here. Even my good friend, who was a loyal customer (and the one who recommended me to this place), has decided never to go back. I rated this place 1 star for a reason, and my reason is so nobody has to go through the horrible experience I had. read more

I just had to write a review when I saw Lence S's comment about the woman in the front who handles the payments. We HAVE to be talking about different women because the woman who handles the payments in the front (Lisa) when I'm there is one of the nicest and most patient people I have ever met. If it weren't for her, my friends and I wouldn't go back as often as we do. Yes, she does offer packages to us, but she's absolutely fine with and still extremely nice about it if my friends or I turn them down. She just reassures us that she is not trying to push us into buying them, but we have a right to know what packages are available and that it's her obligation to tell us. She's speaks the most English. She helps us translate to the girls who work there, if necessary, no matter how busy she is. She occasionally stops by our rooms to make sure everything is going well and to see if we need anything else. My friends and I have tried different women and we have gotten superb treatments every single time. The place is kept very tidy and clean and is nicely decorated just like the pictures on the site. The time that you'll spend there is worth it and very relaxing. You should definitely go and try it yourself. read more

I've come here for massages every month. I have a package actually. The first massage was great, one of the best messages I've had in a long time. The table and room is very clean. I liked that it's in a private room, unlike some other places. I thought Ying did a really good job, and $40 per hour is not bad at all. Unfortunately, as reported by Joyce L, Ying has gotten too darn friendly and just talks too damn much. I like not talking at all. I like getting to a point where I'm almost comatose. The last session, she kept asking me question after question after question. At one point, she was talkative she actually stopped massaging me. I was so tense afterwards bc I felt like I was being quizzed. Too much interrogation. It was really disappointing. I really wish I played stupid and didn't know Chinese. Don't get me wrong, I like Ying but the point of a massage is to relax. I still have a couple of appointments left and I'm not quite sure what to do now. I think next time I'm gonna try ignoring her, but I don't want to be rude. I'm almost helping someone from the salon reads this and tells her. So I decided to go along with everybody's advice and try this place out. I saw that alot of people preferred Lisa, so I booked my appointment with her. Honestly, I will never go back to that place again. I've done many facials in my life; I like to be pampered. This place gives me the goosebumps every time i think about it. First, the products used were very cheap. The smell was outrageous; I've never smelled any type of cream like that before. The extraction was extremely painful; I had to keep telling her to not be so rough. I now have a scar on the left hand side of my face because she used way too much pressure. Also, when she massaged my face, I felt no technique whatsoever. All I felt was force. Instead of massaging my face softly to help decrease my wrinkles, she added tension leading to more wrinkles. Last, the service was horrible. I couldn't relax or enjoy my facial because all I heard were cellphones ringing and workers chatting extremely loudly, not talking about the most pleasant things. I have been going to Jing Beauty & Spa for over 10 years for my facials. Vivian is the best, she takes care of my spots and massage my face, neck, with special focus on my tired eyes. Jing 's Beauty Salon is an excellent salon in Flushing area. I have known this beauty salon for more than 20 years. My favorite place for massage and facials since 2010. I always do the package deals. They are so clean and the staff is wonderful. They all do a wonderful job, I can't just pick one. This is a Hidden Gem in Flushing. They use quality products and are very hygenic you can feel clean the minute you walk in. They have been in business for over 35 years. This place is about a 5 minutes walk from the subway on Main St, so it's very convenient. If you need pore extraction, I highly recommend Vivian. I've been there twice so far, and I've requested Vivian every time. She is very thorough and efficient. Also, she is very easy to talk to, which makes the whole process more enjoyable! She drew the options for my eyebrows based on the shape of my face. Then gave me some suggestions. I accepted her suggestion and went on with the procedure. She applied numbing cream and waited for it to take effect. So i only felt minimal discomfort during procedure. Throughout the procedure she kept asking if I was ok. I felt I was in good care. I dozed off for a minute. Then I realized it's done! Candy showed me the mirror, making sure I was happy with the results. She explained the care for the next few days. I figured she was just being diplomatic given what is happening up top, but then I found out she told Wifey the same thing. So either it is a standard recommendation or they are both very polite. The session runs about an hour and it is a fun experience, as you can see from the pictures. After that we moved into the foot massage, and for me that was the highlight of the whole visit. I will be honest, there were moments when the pressure hit some sensitive spots and I may have startled the technician a little. At one point I drifted off and twitched myself awake, which was probably more entertaining for her than for me. But I stayed present the rest of the time and genuinely enjoyed it. If your legs take a beating on a regular basis, this is the kind of relief that actually registers. The pricing is reasonable and the experience delivers. If you can only pick one, go with the foot massage. It felt great and I will definitely be back. We needed this. After a few chaotic days we took a day off and we treated ourselves, finished it off with some food and dessert, and just enjoyed the time together. Every once in a while you have to do that.

The store is tucked away on the second floor of a commercial building complex. The shop is bigger than their original store and has private rooms available for treatments. It's a spacious Shiseido retail store where they provide service with a smile. The technicians are friendly, professional and provided us each with an excellent treatment experience. I totally recommend that you check this place out, buy their products and/or treat yourself for a facial treatments at this Shiseido store. They give you a robe to change into to keep your top dry and cover you in warm blankets. They untangle your hair and give you a dry scalp massage. Then they start wetting your hair with a circular shower head which was very cool. They wash your hair several times and give a scalp massage. They also give a neck massage and shoulder massage. All the products they use smell extremely good and felt great in my hair. At the end of the massage, they dry your hair and leave it somewhat. It would be very cool if they offered a salon service where you could pay an extra fee for them to style your hair so you could leave with very clean hair and styled. I would have also liked if the scalp massage was a little more rough, it was softer than I liked. I would probably try another location for a scalp massage to compare the experiences.

Our experience- was able to book 2 days ahead of time for an 11am appt; they texted morning of to confirm; check in w Groupon; guided to your room; remove anything on your face/top half (jewelry, glasses, bra); shoes off; put on a half gown; lie down and close your eyes and hope for the best. Since there's no communication throughout the process (we literally exchanged no words aside from the initial, strip instructions); this is all assumptions/spotty memory on my end: Dry head massage, shampoo, soaped up head massage, conditioner, vertebrae/shoulder massage (was really really good) but it's odd because you're all soaped up and I can't tell if it's conditioner they're rubbing your back lol. Regardless, my tech was an angel unknotting my shoulder. Fancy water show is just that - there's no magic from the crown of water you see everyone advertising. Followed by arm/hand massage, rinse, par-hair dry, some final product in your hair, sit up, final pat down/back shoulder massage voila, 1 hour. We tipped our techs 15 each in cash because they were with us the entire time and fully engaged. I'd say we enjoyed ourselves- just wish we knew what exactly the treatment entailed. This was like the ultimate luxury shampooing before an actual hair cut- I think they should definitely collab with the hair salon right below them, that's something I'd be into for an ultimate self care treat.
