My beauty lady is Vivian. She is the only one that I recommend here. Vivian does a thorough cleansing, steaming, good facial massage followed by a whole face extraction, after which she zaps your face with the red light acne zapper, concluding with a mask. This is a solid facial that I go to each month that is affordable and complete. They literally just moved (February 2022) to a new office. While I liked the old office which had a cozy feel and pretty pink wall paper, this new one is bigger for sure and newer. The ladies that work here are all nice people, but many tend to speak Chinese more comfortably. If you want a great value and thorough facial, this place is for you! But if you are seeking a completely zen like atmosphere with bamboo-eque atmosphere, then it is not for here. Me personally, I'm here once a month to take care of my face, keep it clean, and enjoy a nice facial massage. Jing meets my needs. I have been a loyal customer for more than a decade. I have tried other facial spas, but keep going back to Jing's. From the start, I had Vivian. She is very personal, friendly, And on top of all, an excellent esthetician. She will ask your permission when clearing white/black heads. Sometimes, I just do not like the redness after too much clearing, so I just ask her to clean the blackheads on my nose. I don't know what kind of masks she used on me, but the result is pretty awesome . I always but their packages, since there is a pretty big discount versus the a la cart price. I have tried a few facial salons in Queens, Vivian and Jing Beauty & Spa is the best of the best. At first i came in with acne-prone skin with many black and white heads. I have had all kinds of skin concerns for more than eight years, and to be honest I never thought that a facial would help so much. Today marked one month after i have been coming in here, with facial once a week, my skin is feeling so much cleaner, and smoother. It even looks brighter than before! Every time Vivian would extract my black and white heads, she is careful and takes her time to do it. The facial massage is great also, i love that she also massaged my neck and shouders. I have purchased a package with blue light treatment, ladies you gotta visit this place, it is clean and quiet, located in Flushing. Also with the COVID precautions they would measure your temperature every time you come in. This salon is decorated in so many pink ruffles that you feel as if you've stumbled into an 8-year-old girl's princess fantasy bedroom. Compared to other venues in the Flushing area, I found this one to be very clean and professional--no stray dust bunnies or strange stains on the bedding. All of the women share a room, but there are curtains for privacy and I didn't even notice there was another client being worked on until I finished! In fact, the setting was so peaceful and comfortable that I repeatedly dozed off during my facial. While it's not impossible to get service for a walk-in, it's better to call ahead. Four women work at this salon, with varying proficiency in English (I have seen non-Chinese patrons there). My favorite is Lisa, who unfortunately speaks very little English, but is so motherly, sweet, and careful. She repeatedly asks if you're comfortable or need her to do something differently. When massaging my neck and shoulders, she applies the right pressure and works on the knots in a way that makes me mellllllllllt. In addition to deep-cleaning your pores, the standard facial comes with a long face massage, steam, mud mask, various creams to revitalize your skin, eyebrow pluck, and a weird procedure that will leave your arms crazy smooth (your skin is slathered in lotion, saran-wrapped, and then stuffed into heating pads). In fact, I couldn't stop touching my arms and face for hours afterward because of how unbelievably smooth/soft they felt. The price for facials and massages is a little above average for Flushing ($45 for a standard 75-minute facial), but worth the extra cost. There are discounted packages and you're allowed to share the package services with friends/family. I think they charge 4-5% extra for using a credit card, so carry cash when you come. read more

After suffering acne for 10 years, I am just not having it anymore. I went on a mission to get the perfect complexion. My skin is a mess: oily, sensitive and freaks out at the slightest change in weather or routine. My breakouts have ameliorated a bit in my 20s but I have acne scars and blackheads that just won't go away. I went to Jing's to try their Deluxe facial. If you mention Yelp, I think you get 20% off if it's your first time there. Lisa did my facial and she was really skilled. I had to be on camera later that week so I told her to go easy with the extractions. I am really really sensitive to pain and tear up easily. I usually cry my eyes out giving myself extractions. Lisa was gentle. She managed to get rid of the most glaring blackheads and blemish on my face without me making a scene. After the extraction I got the special mask that comes from the Deluxe facial. It did WONDERS to calm my skin. I usually get red spots that won't go away for months if I pop a pimple. After the mask came off, there is virtually no redness on my skin. It's like a miracle. I bought the package for 11 facials for $450 (12 if you can make it during the week) and have had 3 facials done. My blackheads have visibly decreased and my breakout seemed to be getting better. Lisa gave me some cream to put on red spots. I looked it up online and found out it is Dr. Eckstein's Azulen Paste. This stuff is amazing for blemishes. Nowadays if I get 7 hours of sleep, my skin actually glows and can be relatively blemish free! I also had an eyelash perm here. It's ok, nothing to write home about. In general, Jing's salon is a modest establishment that gets the job done. If you are looking for effect solutions for skin problem, this is a great place. If you plan on getting a massage here and you speak chinese, pray that you don't get stuck with Ying as a masseuse. If you don't speak the language, you're golden! Nothing against her skills as a masseuse. In fact, she's great at what she does and was able to get rid of a lot of the knots I had on my shoulders and back. But lordy, this woman will talk your ears till they bleed. NON-STOP. She will go on about all kinds of BS, from the birds and the bees, to the lunch she had, to the little facts she's heard from her friends about world news... to whatever else that comes to her mind while you are trying to relax... Other than that... this place is great! For a super reasonable price, you can get a lot. I braved a second visit here recently, but this time for a facial. And I have to say, I was quite impressed! Daisy is defnitely the person to ask for! She really knows her stuff and was incredibly thorough and gentle with extractions. For the $45 I paid, I got my face cleansed, extracted, eyebrows tweezed, a 30 minute massage of my face, shoulders, hands and head. They also put a moisturizing treatment on your hands and arms and tuck you into warm gloves while everything is being done. There was absolutely no sales pressure at all to purchase a package, but since I was curious, I had to ask about it myself. 5 stars for Daisy!! My only gripe (besides miss talky-face) is with the noise some other reviewers pointed out. Yes, it's true, you will get those occassional loud ringing cell phones, people laughing really loud as they run by your room and other crazy noises that will keep you from dozing off. For me, choosing a place to get a facial is a delicate balance between growing a pimple farm and busting my budget. That's why I entrust the wizards at Jing's with my face. They have two facial options that I get: 1. Regular $45 2. Deluxe $55, which comes with extra masks (I think 2 extra) The products are super gentle (even for my sensitive skin) and the technicians are extremely skilled. In terms of atmosphere, the treatment rooms are not particularly private and certainly not posh, but the service and affordability make up for it. Unlike other facial places, where it often seems like the technicians are working on 2+ customers at a time (hello, phone sex model!), Jing's technicians are extremely attentive. Where other places would let you languish whilst a mask is doing its work, at Jing's you get a neck and shoulder massage. Extractions are extremely thorough and the technicians are very careful to properly steam your face to avoid stretched pores and the like. Proper care is also devoted to calming down my skin post extractions. I always walk out of Jing's with amazingly translucent skin that lasts. As a bonus, a hand rejuvenation treatment is also included in the facials. The technicians massage your hands and forearms with lotion, wrap them in plastic wrap and put on a heated glove. At the end of the treatment, the skin on your hands is noticeably better moisturized and younger looking. It's pretty awesome! Doing facial has been my monthly routine in California for years. After coming to New York I was in search of a new place, and of course Yelp was there to help me. At first I was in between Jing's Beauty and Sai Kay 21, but after a visit to Jing's I decided to book here. I could be careless about the massage but I care a lot about extractions, and the esthetician they assigned me was just ok compare to my prior esthetician in California. But she was very nice though, and for that I decided to give her a second chance. It was a mistake I regret, because with that second chance I gave her another third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth.. and there, my face was ruined, from a mild acne face to a sever acne face. My friend couldn't stand to see my face getting worse anymore so she forced me to see her esthetician, Pauline. I went to see Pauline the next day and she couldn't even tell I just had facial the day before because according to her, my face was still "dirty" and the acnes were actually inflamed. I booked an appointment with her immediately because I could see the sincerity in her eyes. After all, my friend does have a flawless face. Pauline saved my life and I have not gone back to Jing's Beauty afterwards. I haven't had any facials up till now and my face is still doing good because Pauline cleaned all the impurities and so-called "bad blood" that caused the inflammation underneath my skin. To this point I don't even know if the esthetician Lisa assigned me was certified. All I know is the lady that did my face no longer works there. Apparently I fell asleep here at my first facial and was snoring with my mouth wide open, so I guess it was relaxing :) 20% off when you mention Yelp, I think, or maybe it's for first timers - facial ended up being $36 + tip. Pretty cheap. I don't really have anything to compare this to, since it was my first facial, but I guess facials aren't that exciting to me? I laughed when she started playing with my chin fat and it made this "flap flap flap" noise. And my nose really itched and I couldn't do anything about it. Anyways, I guess I just don't care for my face to be massaged or the meh shoulder/neck massage you get while laying down. Like I said though, I fell asleep, so I suppose I was super relaxed... or maybe just tired? And they give you some strange hand treatment in a glove thing I wasn't expecting. Blackhead removal - I guess I didn't know what to expect but HOLY MOTHER OF BLEEP it was painful. Excruciatingly painful. Afterwards, I had what seemed like a giant zit for 3 days on my forehead when it was nothing to begin with (but apparently there was something in my pore...). 1 star knocked off for that. My face was smoother for the following week, but since I don't have very many blemishes and I have good skin overall, I didn't see much of a difference besides it being smoother. Recently got a 55$ facial and 1 hour massage along with my husband. Pros- massage was amazing especially for the price- 30$ for first timers if you mention Yelp! The benefits from the facial were visible the very next day and When I applied foundation for the first time after my facial ( 4 days later ) my face looked extremely clean and bright They were able extract all the blackheads and WHITEHEADS!!! I had some stubborn white heads including one right next to my eye. I went through excruciating pain, but they managed to extract it!!!! So the moral of the story is if you suffer from lots of black or white heads Go here and they will get those suckers out!!!! Cons- If your a man dont get a facial here. They don't pay as much attention to the men from what I saw them doing to my husband. Secondly, I made an appointment with Lisa for my facial, but someone else was assigned to me. Sucks for me because my sister recently had her facial done by Lisa and she couldn't stop complementing her. All in all try it out you won't be disappointed!!! Ps. Today, I was a first time customer. I heard about this place from my mother in law. She told me that massages for an hour is $30. I was very interested because the price said it all. I usually get massages in NYC spas or when I go away on vacation. After reading the reviews here, I decided that I will try anything once. I made the appointment and asked for an hour and half massage for $45. They have a small lobby. I waited for a minute. I walked down a long hallway into my private room. The masseuse was inside setting up. The masseuse walked out to let me change. So there is no changing room with lockers and there is a bathroom - toilet and sink. There are hooks to hang up your clothes in the room. On the massage bed, you lie on long flat sheet of paper, instead of a sheets. I prefer to lie on paper than to sheets, as I saw that she threw away the long sheet of paper later. A long towel covers you from shoulder to feet. When she started on my back, she asked me medium or hard. I like that she asked me first. I told her that my lower back was tight and that I exercise so my muscles were sore. At times, she was kneading my back a bit too hard so I told her that it was a bit too much. This was definitely a deep tissue massage. She worked on my back and shoulders for awhile. She massage on the towel that was covering me and she did not use lots of lotions and oils when her hands were on my back, which I prefer. She did a good message on my legs too. Towards the end of the massage, she told me to turn on my back. She gave me a light massage on the head and face. At most, I was on my back for 10 mins. She did the massage for a full hour and a half. I would have to say that I will definitely will be back for the massage. She did a great job and I was relaxed after wards. I found the place to be clean and I saw her change the towels and sheets of papers off the massage bed. If you are looking for a very good massage in a clean place, I would say give this place a try. The ambiance of the room was relaxing and you hear some soothing piano music. At times, you will hear loud talking but it is kept to minimum. This place is known for facials too. I saw that it is $45 for 75mins. I will try it next time. You can buy a package of 10 facials for a discount. I will come back to this place again for the massage. read more

The woman pressed on my temples, the bones around my eyes, my neck, cheeks, neck, shoulders for what seems like 45 minutes (in between steamings) -- so months of tension melted away. The rest of the session was very professional, clean, relaxing...even though they don't seem to use too many products or advertise what they use, they seem fine. Moreover, they also didn't try to sell them to you. If you buy five facials, it's $215. They don't expire and you could bring friends with you to use them up (unlike another beauty salon in Chinatown I used to go to where they discourage that). I ended up tipping her $10... The proprietor was friendly and gave me no pressure (to upgrade to the "special facial', or get collagen treatment). It's definitely a go-back place. As for ambiance, although the women do chatter, they do try to keep quiet. I went at noon on Saturday and there was only one other person there. I came here after reading the decent reviews on Yelp and it totally exceeded my expectations. I've only been to 21 Sai Kay in the past and I haven't received a facial in more than a year. I always dreaded the facial because my face would resemble a pepperoni pizza after the extractions. It usually lingered for a week and I would have to cancel plans and hide my face at home. However, that all changed after Vicky and Lisa. I spoke to Vicky when I called to schedule an appointment on a Friday and she was very accommodating. She offered to stay late so that I can come in the same day. They close at 7:30 PM, but I went in at 6:15 PM and didn't leave until 8:30 PM. Even though I was there late, she was very thorough with the facial and never did I feel rushed. She spent a lot of time on the extractions and was very gentle. I checked myself out in the mirror afterwards and I was absolutely glowing. The extraction aftermath was there but it was very faint and faded in 2 days. I received a facial from Lisa the 2nd time I came because Vicky was off that day and I wasn't disappointed! Although not as crazy thorough with extractions as Vicky, Lisa gave a long and great massage while the steamer was on. I wish I found this place earlier before wasting so much money on packages that Sai Kay practically forces you to buy. Another great thing about Jing's is they don't try to sell their products/packages to you during the facial making it a much more relaxing experience. I went to Jing's after reading Mog C's glowing review, and because it seems like a great deal at a non-Shady salon. The first time I went, I bought the 10-facial (double layer, which is $55 instead of $45/session) for $450 (I guess that's a 20% discount). This is the weekend facial package so I can get a product (up to $40) for free. If you get a weekday facial package you can get one more facial for free in place of the product. I recommend Fei Li because she is very gentle and thorough. I think she became more thorough after I started tipping her! If you like a product they are using, ask for a sample. (These are all Parisian products, I believe, since the salon owner was trained in France.) I got a sample of their spot acne treatment, which, like Mario Badescu products (which I have not tried but have heard great things about), is thick and should be used at night, and worked well to treat break-outs overnight (reduced redness, size of pimple, increased healing time). The staff is very professional and really care about maintaining healthy skin. I was very skeptical at first because I am a cynic and think all establishments are out to just scam people, but after following through on my package of facials, I am actually thinking about renewing. Like Mog C said, the area offers a lot. So get to Flushing early on the weekend, and make a full day of it. I might look into the massage package, too. If you park, make sure you get there early (9/10 ish?) because Flushing gets packed on weekends! read more

I found this place on Yelp and the reviews are pretty accurate. I came here for the body massage deal and they are pretty accommodating when I made an appointment on the day of. I came late by 1.5 hours because of the Q58 and they still had a spot for me. The room I got my massage in is pretty small, but it's no big deal. The massage bed is heated and covered with paper that you lie on, which is good because it sucks up the oil you get massaged with. You get covered with blankets. They don't let you shower here after a body massage, but I didn't feel gross nor greasy when I left the place. I got Ying, and she's really nice. She knows exactly what she's doing and focused on the knots that have been troubling me. It was my first time getting a massage and it felt like 20 pounds have been lifted off of me afterward. Soooooo I'm a dude and have been getting my haircuts here for the last 4-5 years. Before I moved to Manhattan, I used to drive in from Rockland County, NY just for haircuts, lol the dedication, the patronage! I always ask for Serene to cut my hair since by now, she's memorized exactly how to cut it the way I want. I actually love coming here because of the relationships I've developed with Serene and some of the other ayis who wash my hair. They all know my Chinese name and the last time I was there, two ayis tried to set me up with their daughters, but not before reiterating that I "work in Finance, he works in Finance." SMH I think 95% of the time I'm very happy with the cut. There's only been 2-3 instances in 4-5 years when I was unhappy, but it's such a rarity. Serene is skilled with the razor and scissors and goes to town cutting my hair. Sometimes she's so meticulous with the cut that I'm in the chair for 30+ minutes. I get my hair washed before and rinsed after the cut and the service is always great. First the place smells like cigarette smoke and is not well ventilated. The blankets are dirty and you are given the ones used by previous customer. They don't use cosmetic products that help ur skin. They use $1 dollar cetaphil creams on ur face. I was promised a mask but they never gave me one. I had a massage here and so did my fiance. I didn't know they don't do males, but they accepted him because I was with him. I mentioned Yelp and they gave us a discount for only first timers though. I had to call to make an appointment and when we got there we were the only customers. I hate feeling like we are the only ones but at the same time it means I will get a very relaxing and quiet massage. The store is very easily missed since it is tucked in between a building under construction and some salon. It is also away from the busy parts of Downtown Flushing, but facing apartment buildings. We were put in seperate rooms and each rooms had their own little dim lights and massaging equipments. My room was very clean and had a very relaxing atmosphere. I didn't ask for the name of my massager but she was very talkative. I should have told her I wanted a very quiet massage but since this is my first time having a massage I decided to continue on the conversation. She did an amazing job though. It was an Hour massage and she went from top to bottom, to front and back, and even a light facial massage. I was very relaxed and she even asked if I was too cold or warm. When I was feeling a little bit chilly she went and lowered the temperature in my room. My Fiance said his massage went well too and his massager wasn't as talkative as mine. His didn't do a facial though. Overall the massage was worth five stars and pricing for first timers was worth it. I didn't give this place five stars because they don't accept males and that is sad. I was there twice - the first time was just okay, took two hours for the most basic facial while half of that time I was lying in bed waiting for the staff to come back from servicing other clients. The mud she put on my face got so dry that it started to burn my face. I went back again after almost a year to give it another try and I brought along a friend of mine who's getting married in 2 days. All they told us when we got there was that they only have one spot left and we have to wait. I was really upset since we made the appointment way ahead of time and reserved for 2 spots so me and my girl can get facials together. My pores get clogged horribly and I get extreme breakouts, since I was in NYC on a trip I yelped and found this salon. Wow, I love this place. I always feel kinda awkward going to a new facial spa. The fact that I don't like people hard-selling products and facial treatment is among the top reasons. I normally just tried to DIY at home. However, this summer is killing me. It's humid and it's been suffocating. My all-time sensitive, combination oily skin suffers as well. So, I google, and yelp-search facial spa in Flushing. Jing Beauty has a high rating with a good number of reviews. So there I was... First, Jing's Beauty is located on the second floor. It's not creepy and it's definitely not one of those "questionable" spa. I went in as a couple walk-in at the same time. So first thing first, DO make an appointment. I felt so comfortable there and was greeted by such a nice older lady (janitor maybe) that I decided to wait it out until the next beautician is available. The couple that walked in was there for the couple massage. (Sound Pretty Good) Anyway, I was greeted, seated, and served with water after I walked in. The environment is clean and quiet. When it was finally my turn, I was given a clean strapless spa top to wear. As my face was being steamed, I got a good old massage from face down to neck and part of my shoulders. Afterward, the extraction was painful but I had a lot of them all throughout the bottom of my chin and neck area. These are the most sensitive part of my face but she tried to be as precise and as quick as possible. My lady-Vicky, was very quick to notice that my sensitive skin swell up right after extraction. She dip-dap alcohol to the more swollen ones. By the way before I forget, I mentioned that I came because of Yelp reviews, they gave me a discount of 10% off my special facial treatment which was originally $55.00. Anyway, I had two masks. A gel mask and while waiting Vicky massaged my arms and hands with the heat treatment. After that, she cleaned my face and gave me another ultra cool hard mask treatment. I fell asleep and didn't want to get up! A great place to go. Not too pushy with selling the package but they do mention it at check out. I would definitely go back in two-three weeks. read more

I have been a client at Jings spa for over 15 years, everytime I go, I pick Vivian as my beautician. She has skillful techniques as well as knowledgeable on how to take care of skin and maintaining optimal condition. The location is 5 mins walk from the train station, public parking is not ideal but there are at least 3-4 parking lots in the area. This is my first time here and they are under renovations currently. I mentioned Yelp on the phone when making reservations but I didn't receive any discounts when I was done with my treatments. Maybe they forgot to give me the discounts and I felt awkward to ask about it too. I was placed in a room that have two other beds side by side but with decent about of spacing a between each bed. The facial is very relaxing but it can get pretty noisy at times. The staff does not really lower their voice when talking to each other or to customers and they do not put their phone on silence or vibrate either. If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy your facial, this may not be the place you are looking for but if you don't mind the noises at times, then you may want to give this spa place a try. The pricing is very reasonable too. For a special facial which last 90mins+, it's only $55.00. They also are not pushy with selling their product or packages which is a big plus for me. read more

I love this place! The specials they have are amazing. I made an appointment last month to have an hour-long massage and it only cost me $30! For that price I expected the massage to be mediocre, but it was one of the best massages I've ever had. Ying was great. I highly recommend getting a massage from Ying.
