Dropped in on a Sunday afternoon. Place was pretty busy. We had driven by and never stopped. A neat space with outside dinning. We looked and decided on two different types of ramen, spicy chicken ramen medium heat, plain. The other was the Orginal Tonkotsu . Included thin pork slices very tasty, a egg, spinach, a few other condiments. Broth of both were excellent. Noodles were ramen not Imation. My grandson and I couldn't finish the bowls and took leftovers with us. Staff was great, knowledgeable. The delicious egg in my bowl sent me over the edge of fullness. I mean come in!! Major Drool I ordered one with mushrooms, which I prefer or recommend. This is a must order for me, especially if you add their Seasoned Sauce Chefs Kiss Takoyaki - Always a must for me, I love Octupus. Battered perfectly, on a bed of Egg Tartar (yes, heard correctly), topped with Mayo, Okonomiyaki Sauce, Green Onions, and my fav, Smoke Bonito Flakes. Great app for sure. JINYA Bun - Yo this thing melts in your mouth, literally (good call Kayley). Steamed Bun stuffed with a Slow Braised Pork Chashu, Cucumber, Baby Mixed Greens, an Original Bun Sauce and Mayo. The staff were all great! So friendly and welcoming. The food was good too! The broth in the black tonkotsu was delicious. My only complaint would be that the egg wasn't as flavorful as I've had other places and the noodles texture was just ok. Overall it was a great bowl of ramen! The takkoyaki was great. I also tried the buffalo tempura cauliflower bites, which were also very good. Our server was so helpful and nice. I definitely hope I get to eat here again! read more

Very good, food was great! Chloe was a great server, everyone was very friendly and they seem to do great teamwork from what I could see. I found my ramen too be perfectly seasoned and the flavor was great, wish there had been a little more pork, I only had 2 slices but not a huge deal. HOWEVER, I would like to focus on one individual (the reason for this review). DEREK. Derek is definitely one of a kind and I personally believe this guy deserves 10 stars. When I go into Jinya to eat, I cross my fingers in hopes that Derek is my server. Derek is undoubtedly a great server with a funny and professional personality. This place has really changed since last I was here for the better. The chasu pork actually had a huge burst of flavor unlike the last time I was in. Now me and my boyfriend are somewhat regulars and come here whenever we can splurge on a meal. Their appetizers are ok and definitely could use a revamping. Vibe is overall a lot better and also love that Paris Baguette is right next to it for a sweet treat after. What is the big deal about ramen bars? Well I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. Ramen inexpensive meal at home, so why pay close to $20 for it. You can get it for change at the store. Well today I found out. The broth was crazy good and the presentation did not disappoint. I was having a pho moment it was wonderful and warming. Ok I now see the big deal. For an appetizer I did the bao bun & yea I got my life in each bite. Ok don't judge I licked my fingers after eating the bun. The main reason this place is getting 2 stars is due to their poor service. Went on a Sunday evening and it was not busy at all yet, our server was inattentive to us. She never came to us while we had our meal to ask if it came out okay. I had to call her and interrupt her chitchat with other employees. I had no drink for the longest time trying to get her attention. Then when we finished our meal it took her forever to notice us and bring the check. After she brought it we again waited ages for her to take the card and check. The food was alright not as flavorful as I hoped but I liked that you can choose your spice level. My ramen felt warm not hot when it came out. The ambiance was also not great, it feels so crowded because of how close the chairs are to each other. After waiting awkwardly upfront she came back and wanted to sit me at the bar in the back but the one lower single seat. Ok fine. Maybe they had some good reason--the area outside is closed off or something. I did see two men sitting at the bar window outside so that's why I asked. When I'm done and walked to my car. Bam!! two couple were seating outside laughing having fun. Please don't do that again. Were you trying to save space? Where you trying discriminate because I'm alone? Don't know. This new spot is perfect for a date night with its small and modern vibes. I came to celebrate my birthday with my husband on a Monday night and our server was great. He even made sure to bring me a birthday treat which was delicious! The ramen itself is yummy just a bit pricy. Any topping you add to your ramen is of course extra but the amount you get for what you pay for is extremely tiny. Although the location is located in Uptown, it should actually be located in Mid-town, because that's what it is; MID AF. The one thing that stood out the most was the extremely slow service! When waiting for our check, the server was nowhere to be found and we were stuck waiting roughly 20+ minutes for the bill. The food came out in good intervals, however the waitress was unfortunately laggy. Maybe it was the opening day jitters. The ramen here is simply mid. We tried the JINYA Tonkotsu Black and Tonkotsu spicy, but there really was no depth of flavor within the broth and the chashu tasted like it had been boiled in water. They claim their broth takes 20 hours to make, but honestly it tasted like it was done in 20 minutes (the same amount of time it took for my bill to come). At least add some spices. Vibe: one stars I saw them struggle really bad from sitting at the bar.. they need some better system. It stressed me out watching them. My 11 year old finished them both. Hahah. We opted no spicy tuna as they didn't like the spice. Spicy umami miso ramen - nice and spicy. Noodles were great. Konya tonkotsu black -+ bok choy + 3 pc shrimp wonton- this was ok. Really in the salty side IMO. The noodle texture was excellent. The bok choy was a rip off. Literally 2 leaves for $2.02. Had I realized it'd be so little i wouldn't have gotten them. The shrimp wonton was the highlight of the entire meal IMO.
