I just brought my father here today for his birthday. I arrived and was immediately sat. I had previously looked at the menu because this was my fathers birthday choice and i don't eat meat I've been vegan for many years. I attempted to order a vegetable broth, which wasn't available although my server said the chicken broths would be the clear consistenty i was looking for nothing meat based. I then asked again if it was clear not creamy. She said yes. She brings the bowl to me immediately seeing it's not what she says it was. I pull up the menu. Show her what i want and she has to take my phone to the pick up window where some rude white man barks he knows what's on the website although I'm trying to figure out why it's not in store. So i just said scratch it I'll continue with two more orders of broccolini again never touching the soup. The server never came back to the table to refill water, coke or tea. I had to ask the individual who dropped food. This server also refused to remove this order from my tab. This location is horrible at customer service and to treat people the way the treated me is disgusting. The micro aggressions in this place made me feel uncomfortable the moment you bring an issue to then then i became the issue. All i wanted was to pay for food i could consume at your establishment and yet i got broccoli and mistreatment. Never again. Not a family style establishment...... This is an update for the " business owner" - trash response- if this " owner " cared they would have found a way to make this right. A family went out and their child wasn't able to have a meal because your website stated it prepared food they did not actually have to prepare. They then forced this family to pay for such food that was completely inedible based on their dietary restrictions. The management staff at this location didn't care enough to even adjust the 100.00 tab, provide an opportunity for me to go to another location. It's just a cash cow. They heard people in, provide the most lack luster food and service and then just disregard the experience with a horrible attempt at addressing the issue. We just went though a covid pandemic, lying to patrons, mistreating them, and charging them these price points is shameful. Just as horrible as this " owners " response. I'm not satisfied. read more

The ramen was really good! My only "complaint" would be that the hot sauce/paste wasn't spicy at all, but will be coming back definitely!

I was so excited to try a this place as it offered three different vegan ramen bowls as well as other vegetarian friendly options! Well, we should have listened to the other reviewers... We started with the Garlic Shrimp Spring Rolls which were flavorless unless you consider salt a flavor-- disappointing and definitely not worth the price tag. The Flying Vegan Harvest ramen was so salty I had to add water to be able to eat it. In retrospect, I really should have complained and sent it back to the kitchen, oh well. My friend's Jinya Tonkotsu Black ramen was fine. The restaurant was very loud (as other reviewers have mentioned) and when I asked if they could lower the music so we could hear one another, the gentleman curtly & emphatically replied "NO". The dining area was also dark. I needed to stand near the window to read my menu, the others in my party did not have this difficulty-- sigh, my poor aging eyes. :( Pros: our waiter Cons: Salty, loud, expensive for ramen Unfortunately this was a one and done for me. read more

The ambience was very nice. The food was just ok. I tried the Jinya bun, the tempura corn, and the crispy chicken. The best thing I had was the Jinya bun. It was a delightful mix of textures and flavors. The tempura corn was boring and lacked flavor. The crispy chicken also lacked flavor. I do want to go back and try a ramen since that's what this place is about. But the intriguing menu had me choosing other treats. Overall good, but not the best. read more

My family doesn't eat pork so we were super excited to try this place with vegetarian and chicken based broths. Our meal ended up being $80 for the three of us with no beverages. It was ttasty but poor value for money. I would give 3.5 stars if I could. I had the spicy chicken ramen. With an egg the bowl was $20 The bowl was tasty, but not large, and turned out to be mostly noodles and broth with a bit of spinach and two thin slices of chicken. Ordered the hot, which was flavorful and not too spicy. Spouse had the chicken karaage ramen - flavorful and not at all spicy, with similar size and contents. Too loud - Good food - Great service I try to eat plant-based and this restaurant had a lot of items using Impossible "meat" including delicious gyoza and a yummy rice bowl. The gyoza and seasoning sauces on the table added to the already flavorful dishes. The Impossible Bun was a bit disappointing: an Impossible patty cut in half and placed on a bun with some tasty sauces. The waiter was friendly and gave timely check-backs. My only big criticism was the volume of the music. It was so loud that my daughter and I had to talk loudly to have a conversation in a restaurant with only 4 parties seated. I asked the waiter if the volume could be lowered and was told "corporate" sets the volume and they have no control. He also informed me that it is much louder at night. The food selections and flavors are to die for! The broths in the selections I've had over the last 3 visits are nothing short fantastic. The flavors are unique and familiar at the same time. As far as the dining area and bar, everything seems to flow; you get a certain amount of privacy from either space whether you're at the bar or dining at a table. The music can be a bit loud sometimes but not always. I want to especially give a shout out to the bar staff. They do an exceptional job at paying attention and ensuring your drinks/food are on time and well prepared. One bartender, an African American, was very conversant and attentive. First off, you get sooo much food for your money. very reasonably priced. If you like Brussel sprouts you will LOVE the tempura brussell sprouts: they're PHENOMENAL! The hostess needs to be trained better. Yelp gives you an incorrect estimate of wait time, and the hostess gives you an estimate 20-30 minutes beyond the time limit given by Yelp. There were empty tables and no one ahead of me in line, but I was told there were 4 parties that had to be seated first. I was there with my 85 year old parents, and while I stepped outside to think about what I wanted to do, the hostess took me off the wait list. Very unimpressive, Jinya. What's the point in ordering take out and ordering ahead when it's not going to be ready. I've waited more than 30min after my order said it was ready. Host was no help and kept saying they can't provide an estimate for how long the wait is going to be to receive my order. They let the kitchen know when you arrive and that's when they start your order supposedly. Do not recommend for take out. read more

I would highly recommend making this place your dinner choice tonight! The food is top-notch, service is on point, and the ambiance of the restaurant brings it all together. Having friendly staff is important, but the biggest compliment for a restaurant is knowledgeable waiters & waitresses who enjoy eating the food they are making for their guests. This was my first time eating at a Ramen bar. Having our waitresses Alyssa take the time to make recommendations on what was good, and knowing how to describe what the different dishes were based on her having tried it herself or it was popular with her co-workers, was a huge plus for me. She was friendly and helpful. She came back to check on us frequently to make sure our drinks were filled up and to see if our food was to our liking. In my opinion, she went above and beyond to make sure our first experience was a great one. This is what's missing in most servers these days. Her cheerful attitude and helpfulness is one of the top reasons we will be coming back, she is a true asset to this restaurant. Everything we tried was so good, from the appetizers of spicy creamy shrimp tempura and crispy rice with spicy tuna, Tonkotsy spicy Ramen, the original house designed drinks and of course the to die for dessert of Panna Cotta that was sweet and creamy but not overbearingly sweet. The restaurant wasn't too loud and had lovely soft lighting. Outside, on the patio, there was a large table with a beautiful fire in the center for larger parties of people. We recently visited Jinya for the first time. Here are the pros: (1) The ramen was solid. I had the spicy vegan creamy ramen and it was fantastic. The broth was delicious and perfectly seasoned with lots of good veggies and the noodles were great. We also tried the chicken ramen and the gyoza -- both very good; and (2) The vibe in the restaurant is great. Open kitchen, nice decor, good lighting. Lively crowd. It was fun. But here is the big con: The service sucked. Across the board. No greeting from the hostess. Barely looked at us and seemed annoyed at the fact we were standing there wanting to be seated. Once we were seated, the waiter took our drink order pretty quickly. The drinks arrived in a reasonable time (from another server or possibly bar staff), but then our waiter disappeared for an extended period of time. We noticed him over in the corner chit-chatting with other servers, which appears to be par for the course at Jinya. I finally flagged someone down and asked if we could possibly order. The answer was, "I'll let your server know." Which she didn't. So after 10 or so additional minutes, we finally saw our server walking through the dining room seemingly trying to avoid eye contact. We flagged him down and he apologetically took our order. The gyoza arrived roughly 45 minutes after we arrived, but without the dipping sauce promised on the menu. Had to flag someone down. The waters never got refilled unless we specifically asked, which we had to do several times. The ramen arrived without any offering of chili paste or condiments and without asking if everything looked ok. No one ever asked if we wanted another drink. No one cleared empty plates until the very end of the meal when it was time for the bill. Overall, really poor execution in the service department, which was disappointing. Again, the food was impressive. The service was not. They would do well to spend some time training on the basics of restaurant service if they want people to come back. read more
