Friday 05/01 around 845PM $13 reg size pho 1 combo (pho dat biet) . It's small. Meatballs were THIN, and was the most meat I received.. 5-6. FLAT pieces. Beef about 3 pieces, brisket 5 , very thin pieces. NO TRIPE- they forgot it. Little onions. 3 tiny pieces of tendon $6 fresh rolls. COLD AF. I understand you eat them "cold" but it was like they pre-rolled them & they sat all day in the fridge until it was ordered. I came in around 845PM. Felt the same temp as my ice cold water they brought out. Pork & shrimp very thin. Peanut sauce was very little, def not enough for 2 rolls. Took one small bite & took it home. As a Vietnamese, Very disappointed. Gave this place another shot & I wish I would've spent my $20 elsewhere. I rlly wanted to like them since they open an hour later than other local joints & it's close to where I stay. Sucks, just got back from airport needed some liquid gold in my life. Came in & ordered in Vietnamese, & she didn't understand me. I should've just walked out idk if it was because I came late, or what. I walked in someone was already there, they had a couple of carry outs, but another table of 2 came in. I took my time sifting thru the noodles to make sure I wasn't tripping. Just go the extra 5-7 mins & stick to Madison heights area or go home & make some eggs & rice til the next day. This is my first ever review here, but I had to give a HUGE thanks to the owner of Got Pho. We're all sick with a cold and pho sounded so good to us and this is the only place I like in the area. I put in a delivery order through Toast and unfortunately it wasn't working so the owner PERSONALLY DELIVERED our food because he "wants to make sure his customers are happy". That kind of service is so rare these days and we appreciated it so much. I could have easily reordered through GrubHub and would have happily paid the upcharge fees but he insisted on bringing it himself. Thank you so much for your kindess! They've "got pho" for sure! No frills, high tops and low tops, carry out easy, bright accent wall with a big Buddha decal, sit where you want establishment. Enter through entrance on 9 mile or through the back. Amazing for Pho, mediocre for other dishes. Family run, the waitstaff is sweet but last time we went one person got the wrong meat in their meal and there was next to no heat in the medium. I like their vegan fresh rolls, spring rolls, and pho very much and for those reasons they are still in my eating out rotation much to my husband's chagrin. (But he never orders the pho!) I always loved the pho broth here (rich & flavorful, perfectly spiced, & not too sweet). They've been under new management since end of 2024 and are just as good if not better than before. Good Stuff Since New Management.: 1) The chili oil is sooooo much better than before! The chili oil must be the new owners homemade recipe probably passed down from generations of greatness. So many more flavors and aromas like shallots and roasted garlic, absolutely LOVE their chili oil....it use to just taste like red oil with flavorless chili flakes. 2) Sunday's they offer sushi and it's surprisingly really legit, would have never thought a Vietnamese restaurant could do sushi this good. You would have thought the sushi came from a Japanese or a sushi restaurant. For not being a sushi restaurant, they really killed it in taste, quality, & price (impressive!!). Ok, I visited here late night because they were open very late on a Saturday (until 11PM I think). The server was Melody. The nicest sweetest spirited young woman I have ever met possibly. I felt so at home there because of her warm hospitality shown to me and my comrade. Then, I met Linda and the chef, Tony, who were both wonderful to me, too. The friendliness of the people is secondary to none. However, the food was so good that even if they were not as nice as they are I would've enjoyed the experience. I loved every last bite. Pho #2 was delicious. So flavorful and filling. I was welcomed immediately by the staff. Everything I needed was brought to the table. I'm not typically a Pho person but yours has changed my mind. The broth was not too sweet as I've had from other places. It definitely had a savory taste. Got Pho is phocking great. I usually get the vegan pho with steamed tofu when I'm sick, and all the veggies they include are generous and always fresh. Their carry out system is great having the broth separate, no messes! The man has gotten chicken and beef pho and loved them both. Staff is extremely friendly and don't forget the spring rolls they're delicious!! My only qualm is that I paid $7 extra for the man to have a large size and they just gave an extra container of broth, but the same sized bowl as mine (no extra chicken or noodles). The appetizers all arrived fast and were tasty. However the spring rolls are small but the crab cheese rangoons were a great size for sharing and large. The pho was delicious and I appreciated the vegan option with tofu as other pho places only have beef or chicken broth as an option. The restaurant is strangely "long" with the bathroom down a long hallway towards the back of the restaurant far from the dining area. But overall we loved our experience. I've visited a few times and each time I have been satisfied. The service is fast and friendly. I love the offerings on the menu. It's obvious that others are also in love because the flow of customers is constant. The menu boasts spring rolls, salads, pho, noodle bowl, stir fry and a few dishes such as sweet and sour chicken. We didn't find a parking spot on the road. Had to walk some. Ordered a crab cheese app, pho 7 with chicken and a vegetable curry noodle with chicken and steamed tofu. I got to try this place because Covid-19 closed the one I had a meetup group dinner planned. What was unlucky, turned out to be very lucky. I discovered some of the best fresh shrimp spring rolls that I ever had. They even made them without the mint in them for me. The peanut sauce for them was a twist that I haven't tried and it was delicious. The one I had the next day was just as good. I tried the drunken noodles which I have never had before but have heard about. I learned that I don't like drunken noodles but that wasn't their fault. If I has seen that they had Pad Seeyu, my favorite, I would have gotten that. I will be back to try that. They didn't have fountain pop, but since they have bubble tea, they poured the can of diet Coke into a glass full of ice for me. That tells you the type of service to expect. With the good prices and wide range of items, they should have been busier but blame the virus. Hope that they stay busy enough to be open when life gets back to the new normal. read more

I found this restaurant, and figured 'I might as well.' It was mothers day so I got my mom the beef and broccoli. Oh my goodness, it was amazing! The stars of the pho were tripe, noodles, beef strips, beef meatball, bean sprouts, and I chose to add bok choi. This place is amazing! Their take-out package is excellent. Everything you need to make a great dish at home. Depending on how long your commute and weather outside is you may need to warm up the broth in the microwave or a pot so that it properly cooks the meat in the bowl. But that's expected with the take-out. The broth is delicious, very flavorful to the point that my toddler drinks that before the noodles. We love the simplicity on the different options for the Pho, we usually get the mix without tripe since that's not a flavor we like. The fresh rolls are so good with the dipping sauce, another toddler favorite too. So glad to have this place right in town. Had a few times. Had it delivered and the delivery was a bit off both times. One time came at end of window, the other arrived early after the time had changed and notification did not come until much later that meal was there. The base of pho has a lot of clove and it's not really my thing. They bring a nice portion and have the logistics all worked out for broth to bits ratio. I've been in the restaurant once. There was only one person in the counter and she was surrounded by drivers and customers. One of the drivers insisted he did not need to wear a mask because he was just picking up an order. Since he had to wait he finally put a napkin over his mouth and nose. After waiting about 15 minutes or so when it appeared to be "my turn" I asked how long takeout would be. She said about 1/2 hour wait. I left because I was pretty hungry at this point. After these experiences I most likely won't be back. read more

On a whim last night, a friend and I got take out from Got Pho for dinner. Not in the mood for actual pho, but instead for Thai, I had the Pad Se Ew and he had the Pad Thai. We also split the vegan fresh rolls. Firstly, I was amazed at the sheer weight of the bag. The portions were very generous, especially for $10. Enough so that I actually got two meals out of it, and usually, I finish a plate of noodles. Secondly, the flavor was actually pretty decent. I could maybe use more sauce on my Se Ew, but was still pleased. Even cold leftovers today were delicious. It's not the best Thai food I've ever had, but it also is no where near the worst. I think I even said I would choose this over Bangkok Cafe as far as Ferndale Thai offerings, assuming I wanted one of the few Thai choices Got Pho has. The Fresh Rolls came two to an order and were well stuffed with tofu, lettuce, cucumber, mint, etc. and served with a peanut hoisin? sauce. I am curious to try their veggie pho now, though I hate the idea of all the separate containers for pho to go, but that's the nature of the beast. Hopefully someday we'll beyond this global pandemic and be able to dine in comfortably. That being said, there were people dining in, and the restaurant seemed pretty spaced apart.
