Today I ordered from the Korean place called Jip Bab They had to buy one get one free: I got the Japchae with veggies: it's silver noodles and vegetable vegetables delicious with a soy sauce: so tasty I will order again I also got KimAri: which are small roles with seaweed and vegetable vegetables inside; it is an acquired taste, but I liked it

Apple Sidra Soda (apple soda without food coloring)

Quality food and service. The meat was perfectly cooked and was delicious. Between the Galbi and the Bulgogi, the Galbi shined. Pair with a bowl of rice and it was perfect! Sidra Soda was also refreshing and was not overly sweet. The only downfall was the prices as items on the menu seemed expensive. Will definitely be back to support this small business as the food was great and the staff was so nice. Can't wait to try the other items on their menu!

Solid Korean food spot on Burbank Blvd, a busy street during rush hour. The menu prices are a bit above average, but dining in was well worth the experience. They do have a some menus outdoors that also include some Japanese food. Ordering was fairly straightforward via their on-table kiosk. It's a very chill spot with little foot traffic even on a weekend for dinner. There is much ambiguity with their menu items; sometimes stuff is available, sometimes it's not. Some are seasonal, but they aren't labeled as such. Prices are also not on their menu. I enjoyed their Kalbitang, which had several bones of meat. The meat was all cooked to perfection and tender; the broth was hearty though heavily flavored with what tasted like soy sauce. My favorite was the fluffy rice. I thought their sides were tasty, but I neither intrigued nor inclined to ask for more. There were a few customers that walked in to order, and they do have options for seating both indoors and outdoors. The atmosphere is overall very relaxing, perfect for either a rainy day or a pick-me-up meal.

Soon Tofu Jjigae - Bottom is beef, Top is seafood, Haemul Pajeon (Seafood pancake). Both with purple rice

I am SOOO happy I found this korean spot and not have to drive to K-Town!! We got the Soon Tofu Jjigae - 1 with beef and 1 with seafood, both with purple rice, and the Haemul Pajeon (Seafood pancake). The pancake I wasn't too impressed by, the bottom was pretty soggy (maybe it's supposed to be this way?), but the flavors were great. Love the side dishes it came with! HOWEVER, the Soon Tofu Jjigae was 1000% worth it and why it's still 5 stars to me. A pretty generous portion, piping hot, and hits the spot. Parking wise, there is a tiny lot in the back, but I prefer to park on Burbank Blvd or on a side street. You order on an iPad which I don't LOVE, but also there was only 1 lady working at the time so I'm sure that helps her a lot. Will absolutely be back soon!

The place is quite small but it has several tables ans chairs. The place was really busy, there was only 1 server visibile so service was bare minimum. We ordered the Sukiyaki bowl and Pork Cutlet, both were under Japanese dishes. We ordered them from the iPad from the table which was very easy and accessible. They both were just okay, nothing extraordinary but generous portions. The place featured signs about tipping and if you are 6 and more, automatic 18% gratuity. The total for both dishes came about $48.

I've driven by this place SO many times but never ever experienced it. We would alway see it whenever we're driving along Burbank Blvd. This visit, after our nail appointment I remembered the katsu sign as that what I would alway see. But never knew what the exact name of the restaurant was. Well, good thing it was literally around the corner from where we were. There's street parking which we were lucky to get right out front. Plenty parking along Burbank blvd. I'm not sure but there maybe parking in the back. The place isn't that big with a couple of tables on the patio and more inside. It was our first time so we weren't quite sure about it. Well, you seat yourself and there's a kiosk machine on each table for ordering. Self service, place your order and voilà. The menu isn't big at all. You have Korean and Japanese main entrees. There's bento boxes, katsu of course, hot pot, stone pot and sides. Not a lot to go off but they do have a good amount of the classic and favorites. After we places our order, sides dishes were brought out as well as a water container. Fishcakes and the kimchi was a major hit. Quite tasty so it was a good little snack while waiting for the entree to arrive. Also, extras were included if you wanted more. We went with the pork katsu and fish katsu meal. Serves with salad with either white or black rice. Also added a side order of curry sauce for an additional fee. It wasn't too long till the food arrived and by the looks of it, it was nice. Fish and pork were cooked perfectly and battered nicely. Each bite had the perfect crunch to it. Each piece was juicy. It also came with a side of katsu sauce. Food was great and service was excellent. We did noticed loads of take out which was nice. The lady working was a doll and sweetheart. Busy as she was the only one but still had a smile on her face the entire time. There's a restroom which is in the back going through the side of the kitchen. Overall, the meal was very tasty and flavorful. Seeing all the other dishes and bento boxes being brought out, makes you want to try everything. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.

    Galbitang (short rib soup)
    Clara K.

Came here with a friend for lunch on a recent Sunday and had an enjoyable meal. We both ordered the galbitang, short rib soup. My friend tried to order the cold noodles since it was a hot day (especially for November), but apparently it's a seasonal summer-only dish and was marked as sold out on the menu. The galbitang was well made, with plenty of tender beef, and the broth tasted flavorful and clean. The portion was large, I took the rest of it home and it was enough for another meal. Ordering was simple using the tablet at the table, although we tried to put in separate orders so we could get separate checks but they ended up combining the bill at the end. Not a big deal since we just put down 2 credit cards and they split it for us, but just FYI. The banchan was decent, a small selection of 4 items but they did refill upon request. As for parking, we both found spots on the street. Apparently there's parking available in the back, but I couldn't figure out where was safe to park and didn't see any signs, so I opted for the street since I didn't want to take a chance. Would definitely return to order the soup again, especially now that the weather is colder, and try other dishes as well.

Parking: Jip Bap is a very small store so it is easy to miss. There is a very small parking lot / alley in the back. It looked like parking were for the stores in front but there was no way into the restaurant. I had to walk around to the street. Exterior: There was a small patio area with a few tables for dining. It looked relatively clean. Interior: Jip Bap is a pretty small restaurant. There were not many tables available but it was very clean. It was not very busy when I went on a weekend for lunch. Service: There was a tablet at each table to order from. The waitress there was friendly. Food: I got the Pork Katsu with a side of curry. The meal comes with some typical Korean side dishes. The breading on the katsu was fried perfectly so that it was golden, crispy, and not too greasy. However, it was already heavily seasoned so it was actually a bit too salty for me when I added curry to it. Overall, it was a nice meal.

As a Korean with pretty high standards when it comes to food, I was genuinely impressed. Everything was clean, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It would have been even better if they had served beer, but I'll definitely be back! Also, the plating was beautiful and made the meal even more enjoyable. And staff is very kind and friendly !

Came here for dinner to escape the LA traffic drive home. Such a cool little place out in Burbank area. Outdoor seating and indoor seating. It's small and they also do take out, but we dined in. The waiter was very accommodating, friendly and attentive. Food was great, they have a wonderful selection of Korean and Japanese dishes (I need to come back to try more).

    Mansta A.

Casual little spot with great food! Service is so quick and attentive. You order on the tablets at the table but the servers will happily help you if needed. I came for the bimbimbap but tried a lot of other dishes. Everything was good. We had the gyoza, japchae, fried chicken with soy glaze and banchan. My favorite was the fried chicken and banchan. The pickled sides really help with the fried dishes we got. Will definitely go back again!

    Irene L.

Discovered this spot near our hotel, and it turned out to be a great find! Orders are placed directly on the tablet at your table, and the server brings everything over, including the banchan--though I do wish they offered more than just four varieties. We were a bit skeptical about the food, especially dining in at 9 PM, but were pleasantly surprised by both the quality and portion sizes. For our group of four, we ordered Galbi, Japchae, and Galbitang, all of which were flavorful and satisfying.

    Kimchi fried rice
    Michelle B.

I came to Jip Bap on a weekday lunch w a craving for some kimchi fried rice. The parking situation is pretty bad; you can attempt some metered street parking (though this was taken when I arrived) and when I attempted to go through the nearby gas station to find parking in the back, while I did find parking there and did in fact, park, I very much do not think this was the parking for Jip Bap and am happy I didn't get a ticket or get towed. I initially was actually going to place an order online for carry out but I saw that online if you want banchan there is a $7 fee for this? So ultimately, I just opted to eat inside. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and the place was not busy when I came though there were a few other customers. There is a tablet on each tablet for you to browse their menu and submit your order. Service was quick after I placed my order. Banchan (misc) 3/5, this was just ok though mainly because the items that were not supposed to be chilled (ie, not the kimchi or veggies) were also chilled so I felt it wasn't very fresh? Kimchi fried rice 4/5, this was quite good. I enjoyed this dish though I think I would limit the amount of meat served within it in the future

They "close" at 10:30 (the place was still hopping at 10) and we arrived at a little past 9:00, figuring at that hour we wouldn't need a reservation. Think again, the place was just one click shy of a madhouse. The bar was lively and the tables were occupied mostly by 20-30 somethings in crocks and belly shirts, jabbing food in the mini fire pits and shoveling it in their mouths with the authority of hungry guard dogs. We had to wait 10 minutes or so, for a table and another 7 or so for our server to appear. It gave us a chance to peruse the menus. Yes, menus, plural. There are three laminated ones and a book with pages. Given how extensive the food menus are, the drink menu was a little unimpressive. The sake list had a few things listed, not including a Nigori. The white wine had two, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. We like Sauvignon Blancs but ordered the Pinot Grigio. Mezza Corona. That's what casinos comp pour at the slots in Vegas. It was fine, but not optimum. Overwhelmed by the menus and not particularly craving one thing, we decided to order the "Anniversary" dinner for two. It was a set combination of mostly proteins with the house salad and miso soup. The "poke" wasn't the usual gooey stuff seen in most raw places. It was perfect little cubes of ahi and marinated onions over a bed of pickled seaweed. The salad was large and simple, with a sesame dressing. Then... omg the proteins started to appear. Every single one was delicious. We found that putting the pork belly on the grill helped to keep the following proteins from sticking. The rice was beautifully steamed. The miso soup was even the best I've had in a long time, with lots of tofu and seaweed sinking to the bottom. I can see how this would be a great place for a group, and I can't wait to go with more friends; albeit my husband and I really enjoyed the respite. Our server, Cole, was cool and real. He didn't seem to need to pretend to be nice. He was just a sincere, caring young man. Their happy hour times are worth noting. They're happy throughout the day and night with the exception of 6:30 - 8:30 pm. There is a happy hour combination menu you might want to consider, especially if you've never been here and just want to see what's going on. There are AYCE choices which might come in handy if you're really into some favorites. There's also a big thing about Wagyu. Eh. Different strokes I guess. We'll definitely be back. We really enjoyed the experience. We reduced one star for the silly valet parking and the not-so-great wine list.

The place has a social vibe while still separating tables for privacy and encouraging fun in your particular area. It looks like they have karaoke nights and there are a few screens playing K dramas in the background. Cons: the food. We went at 1 PM and the place was empty so I was super disappointed that each plate we received was not up to par. One of my friends did the shrimp dumpling, which was far too expensive to not have a solid prawn in the middle as most dim sum spaces do. Instead, the dumpling was filled with minced shrimp and it taste mostly of egg at that price point you expected to taste protein before filler. I had the minced pork and rice which was overwhelmingly, salty and inedible. Quite frankly I saved it for the next day to see if my husband who is assault fanatic would say anything and even she thought it was inedible. I believe they poured a half bottle of soy sauce and my protein alone. One of my friends had the kimchi fried rice and she said it was decent. Finally we had the Korean fried chicken which they refused to split flavors on, and I could respect that if it had been any busier. But with us being the only one seated it kind of didn't make sense. I wanted to get a feel of the flavors in general to see which I should order for the next time.. be warned the chicken is sweet! Not the sauce, but the chicken itself has been marinated in some type of cinnamon sugar recipe. That is not familiar to me when I think about Korean fried chicken. That day, my friends and I giggled that this place was not as authentic as we had experienced driving down to kTown. It definitely felt like a "valley" version of Korean food. We even discussed giving them the benefit of the doubt that this could be a difference regionally that we had not experienced before. All of my concerns were confirmed the next day when I reheated the food in an attempt to give it a second chance with a fresh pallet. None of the leftovers were even edible. Finally, nothing is more annoying than a server who claims that the bill cannot be split any other way, but 50/50. It's 2026 and all back end systems allow split bills. Once again, this is understandable during peak hours, but it would have benefited the server to take two more minutes to try to figure out his system. This should be part of your server training. It seems he had plenty of time to learn since the place was so empty and in fact, my friend and I joked that we would be happy to teach him as we are familiar with industry standards. That's not to seem cocky, but given your location in noho the majority of your guests have food service experience as struggling actors etc. This is not the type of review that I enjoy leaving, but in hopes that one less small business is shut down take note
