The ramen I had was so full of flavor and I ordered the Veggie with no heat. I would definitely order it again. The menu was all over the place. Mozzarella cheese on sushi? Pasta? We decided to stick with basics. Garlic Edamame, Crispy Tuna, Baked Salmon (hold the cheeses). Draft beer was served cold and was DELICIOUS Edamame was not very flavorful Crispy Tuna was decent Baked Salmon was just ok - even with our modifications as we prefer Prices were a bit on the high end for me....but the services charges were $6.50 total. $1.50 for non cash and $5 (10%) for service fee. The sushi is always incredibly fresh, and sitting at the bar makes the experience even better--we've literally watched him fillet the fish right in front of us, which says everything about the quality and care they put into their food. We absolutely LOVE lit sushi, we started coming here because our favorite sushi placed got new owners and we are so sad but this place is so close to our house and it's open late which we love. Everytime we come here it's like family! The owner is so sweet and always greets us with hugs. We definitely enjoy a long dinner so this place is amazing if you want to have a slow relaxed dinner and chat with friends. They have also really enhanced the place with so many decorations but obviously most importantly the FOOD and sushi is sooooo FRESH and amazing. Even the miso soup and baked dishes are yummy too! PROS: the sushi we ordered was really good! We got the shrimp tempura roll and the tower roll because they were the more affordable rolls that we were interested in. The gyozas were some of the best gyozas we have tried. The sake was the standard sake (cheapest nigori they have $15). They serve it in the little container in my pictures. The inside is super nice and was comfortable where we first chose to sit but then the waitress moved us (because the table we chose was dirty?) to a spot that we couldn't see anything really in the restaurant besides her behind the cash register constantly on her phone. So lost a lot of the ambiance which I always appreciate when dining out. CONS: the taste of the food was the only thing that saved the night. The waitress was pretty rude right off the bat and we almost just left but gave it a chance due to the reviews. The menus were dirty and they did not have any drink menus (said they were coming in the next few days) so we had to go over the list of alcohol and ask for pricing which is not a great experience when trying to order. We asked for two waters and they brought two Evian bottles...without advising us that we would have to pay for them? We did not touch them at all to make sure they would take them back so we didn't have to pay $9-$10 for water.... When speaking to the waitress, she constantly would respond "WHAT??" really loudly even though we were speaking up and no one else was in the restaurant to make noise. It was pretty rude and was making the experience worse. Not sure if she was new but she did not seem to enjoy her job. She was in her phone the entire night when we needed her attention to order and make sure we didn't get charged for the water. At the end of the night we waited a long time just to pay but she continued to be on her phone. Ended up walking up to pay and had to awkwardly check the receipt to verify the charge and tip while she was right there. Honestly, would love to come back just for the sushi but do not want to interact with this waitress again. Sushi chef made some tasty sushi!!! When I asked I was told it depended on the size made by the chef .if it was a bigger roll then it was 6 pc. Smaller roll would then be 8 pc for the same price . I've never heard of this at any sushi I've gone too . The rolls were not any larger than usual and the price was the same . Fine for simple rolls, fried gyoza, and beer but traditional Japanese cuisine this is not. This would be better thought of as a fusion restaurant. My wife and I have attended lit sushi several times. We've always ordered simple sushi rolls, beer and saké. It's nothing super special or traditional Japanese but perfectly serviceable for a quick sushi roll, beer and hot saké meal (think grocery store sushi but Sapporo and saké available). On our latest visit however we decided to mix it up and order Udon and Korean Ramen. This was an ill conceived attempt. Our udon and ramen were "technically" udon and ramen because they did use Udon and Ramen noodles, the similarities end there. My wife's udon was udon noodles done stir fry with sweet teriyaki sauce and sesame seeds (similar to Panda Express Lo Mein) and my Korean ramen was loaded with broccoli, cauliflower and carrots in a oily broth (similar to Birria de Chivo) with cubes of overcooked beef. Needles to say this is not authentic/traditional/ or even vaguely semi traditional Japanese or Korean udon or ramen. We sent our dishes back being unpleasantly surprised at the unconventional offering received, and ordered our standard sushi rolls. The hostess was very kind and brought us our replacement dishes, however while my wife's rolls were lit sushi's standard fare my Salmon roll contained salmon that was clearly old and Ammoniated. To sum up my wife and I will not be attending lit sushi in the future. Nothing against the service as always kind and generous, but being a Japanese restaurant I expect Japanese food. read more

A new restaurant in North Hollywood. Stopped by to check it out and give them their First review....I ordered rolls to go since I couldn't dine here. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. The interior design is nice and pleasant. The menu has a lot of items. Most of the fresh rolls have California roll in them which we don't prefer. It was very hard for me to chose rolls to go. So I went with the salmon lover roll minus the cream cheese, two orders of teka maki/tuna roll and two orders of sake maki/salmon roll. Everything I ordered was fresh. My son and I enjoyed our lunch at home. I got 20%off my order as a grand opening promotion!!!! I will go back and dine at the restaurant next time and update my review on that experience. .
