Quiet and clean korean restraunt with a friendly owner and staff. Side dishes were solid. Yugaejang was a 7.5/10. There was no gosari which is kind of important and a bit oily with heavy amt of fish sauce imo. Nangmyeon was solid a 7.9/10. Its a bit pricey but cheaper then some eats in ktown. Plenty of parking in the back.

I love it here. This place is a regular spot for large families or smaller groups. Tasty, consistent food. Very kind and friendly staff. Prices are not the cheapest as the food commands it- It never disappoints.

Cold Noodles with shaved ice in it. It's not bad actually. 5/14/22

I honestly don't understand how this place is only rated around 4.2 because it deserves at least a 4.8 or 5. It's easily one of the best Korean restaurants I've been to. The place is clean, the Korean ladies working there are super sweet, and it feels very authentic. I'm shocked it's not busier..I truly feel like this is a hidden gem. The food has been consistently good whether I've done takeout or dine-in. All the side dishes are delicious, the tteokbokki is bomb, and the galbi and bulgogi are sooo good and flavorful. One time I accidentally ordered the bulgogi soup, and I still dream about that broth... WOW. Highly recommend this spot. I can confidently give it 5 stars and will keep coming back. Parking in the back.

Had such a nice and comforting meal here!!! We wanted some good quality Korean food without going out too far, and decided to try out this spot in the Valley. We walked into a very quiet restaurant since it was an early evening, and we sat wherever we'd like. As we ate, more people came in! Both of us wanted galbi and shared a plate of galbi and tteokbokki, and added an order of refreshing cold noodles. The wait wasn't too long and we were relaxed at the ambiance. I'm glad we got to pick the spice levels for the entrees. The side dishes were presented wonderfully and we were very grateful for the meal at this local spot. I noticed half the restaurant was closed off for their supplies, kitchen, and such. We enjoyed every dish fully and found the cold noodles to be perfect to slurp down in the heat outdoors. No wonder it's a seasonal item!! The flavorful galbi were cooked deliciously tender with a crispy exterior. The tteokbokki was chewy, large, and flavored well with the broth. We couldn't finish everything so we had leftovers!!! *small parking lot, easily entered through Reseda

Feeling a little under the weather and binge-watching K-drama had me craving Korean food. I wasn't too thrilled to drive all the way to Koreatown, so I found this spot on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I ordered the Galbi Tang with LA Galbi for lunch. The place was pretty quiet around Tuesday lunchtime, with plenty of parking available. Service was friendly and quick, and they had a solid selection of soups on the menu. My meal hit the spot -- flavorful, comforting, and exactly what I was craving. Definitely satisfied my Korean food fix!

I had dinner here and I enjoyed it a lot. I had the LA Galbi Dinner and Beef Soon Tofu soup. The Galbi Dinner comes with the banchan which made the whole meal complete. They have kimchi, kelp, bean sprouts and more for the banchan. The soup wasn't too spicy, but very filling. The Galbi was flavored so well and I loved it a lot. The staff was great and they have free parking.

Would recommend! This is a very reliable place for when you are craving Korean ox bone soup/galbi jjim and don't want to drive to Koreatown. The ox bone soup broth has good flavors and they always provide generous helpings of meat and noodles. Make sure to put salt to suit your taste. I also like to ask for the cubed radish kimchee 'sauce' so that I can mix it with the soup. The galbi jjim is also solid with good portions of meat and toppings. The restaurant space if big with ample parking in the back lot to fit large parties easily. Their service has always been great and friendly.

If you're craving true Korean comfort food, this restaurant is a go-to! We ordered the Galbi Tang (Korean short rib soup) and it was fantastic--the broth was so clean, flavorful, and the short ribs were perfectly tender. Next was the Ugeogi Galbi Tang (short rib soup with cabbage), which is another great choice if you're looking for a soup with a soybean paste (doenjang) soup base. It added such a nice depth of flavor, hearty and nourishing. All of the soups here are not only delicious but also feel good for your health--especially when you're not feeling your best. On top of that, the staff are incredibly kind, which makes the whole dining experience feel even more like home. Plus, they have parking in the back, which makes it super convenient.

Decent soup spot. Last of the Mohicans Korean spot in Valley I never tried. Taste has that home comfort flavor. Had the Galbi Tang, it was decent, didn't blow me away but it was decent. The banchan is decent too.

We have been here a long time ago. I remember it was good then. We renewed that opinion this time too. I got the Bibimbop and my wife had the Galbi. Of course it came with lots of tasty bonchan. My bibimbop also came with soup. Every dish was very tasty. I even enjoyed the kimchee more than usual! The servers were very nice. The continually checked in on us. The atmosphere is comfortable. This has become our favorite Korean restaurant in the valley.

TLDR: GENEROUS portions, kind wait staff, and a good time overall - possibly the best blend you could get between a candleless candlelit dinner vibe and a lively restaurant - not too noisy yet lively not loud. - - - - - - Musse has been on my Yelp Collections for far too long, and I had to try it! There's a small lot out front or the back lot for parking, and I highly recommend that back lot because getting out is much easier. When you enter, you're greeted by dark brown wooden walls decorated with a variety of colorful paintings and pictures of select touristy spots of Korea. There were only two staff waiting tables and a busser on a Friday night, and they were quite occupied with more than 10 tables. Regardless, they served, and I ate - well. Though they didn't have my "go to" order of Assorted Tofu Soup, I went with the Surf option of Seafood Tofu Soup. The price was appropriate, and when it came, I was hit with a mix of emotions. Times are tough with egg prices, and there was no egg, BUT did they really stack that bowl! The Tofu Stew at Musse easily ranks at the top of Korean restaurants that provide generous portions... and they didn't skimp out on the seafood, either. Sure, there may have only been one shrimp, but it was MEATY shrimp, not like the usual wimpy ones. Clams? If I had to count, there were about 10! Service wise, I didn't receive water at all, and out of tiredness forgot to ask. The side dishes, though... were they tasty! I wasn't a fan of the slimy radish marinade, but the other side dishes were all well done, no complaints. Between the party of flavors and the friendly Korean conversations between wait staff, they were both enjoying their time but serving as well. At one point, they forgot my order within 10 seconds but were not hesitant to double-check with me - enjoying their time and keeping their focus!

We were celebrating two birthdays and decided head here for lunch. Parking is kinda limited in the rear, though fortunately you can enter the restaurant through the backdoor. I'd say it's fair to assume when you see older folks inside enjoying themselves that the place has a quiet seal of approval. You can hear pockets of polite conversations from these tables, and the atmosphere felt especially cozy on a rainy day. I ordered the Galbi Tang with steamed rice, a much-needed boost for the typical work week. Contents included strips of eggs, glass noodle, leek, and a generous portion of beef, each piece succulent with the right amount of chew. The soup came in a large metal bowl unlike other soups in stone pots, so visually it felt larger portion-wise. We also shared a plate of Kimchi Jun, hot and savory with small chunks of squid mixed in. The wait for our orders was fairly quick too, and the staff refilled our banchan without delay. All in all, a satisfying lunch was had.

The owner came by to check how we liked the galbi kalguksu since it was a newly created dish and we told her that it was delicious, seasoned just right. I have no idea how much valet parking is here. We were a small party of two. Upon arrival, we were notified they were out of RICE. Um..what?? That's a good problem (for them to have) but not for consumers. I feel this really limited our options to just soup. I honestly didn't want soup but there wasn't much else we could order. If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
