Been a go to for me for years being one of the few coffee places of its kind in north Kingstown, but the quality has been very hit or miss, today I got two coffees and a pastry (which was still frozen in the middle) while the coffee were made poorly, upon requesting a remake I was informed it was my own fault the coffee came out the way it was because of how I ordered it. So I'm this place is always packed, and I just wanted a quick sandwich. I went in got in line and was helped after about 5 minutes. The place was packed with what appeared to be high school kids... it was loud. Louder then I preferred to sit in, so I took my sandwich in the car. The inside is small with little notes seating... but there is picnic tables outside. I had a sausage, egg and cheese. It was ok... I wasn't blown away by the quality or the taste. But it wasn't bad. Good place for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. But don't order lunch. Lunch sandwich order was wrong, sandwich wasn't cut in half, and it was messy to eat. Besides the poor quality of sandwich, it took along to for the order to come. When I asked why I was told sandwiches take extra time , which confused me as how much more time then a breakfast sandwich should it take as I watched them fill the orders that came in after mine first. Jitters is a rare find in RI. They have great coffee, the best bagels north of NYC and a wonderful selection of flavored cream cheeses. The staff is friendly and really on point with remembering the "regulars" orders. They can get chatty and ignore the line at times, which tends to be very long. I am a big fan of Jitters Café, seriously, a BIG fan. They have an incredible amount of traffic. I come here every single day for coffee and I am presently the mayor on foursquare (see: caffeine junkie). They have an incredible Seattle Express roast coffee which is such a wonderfully strong, yet balanced flavor that essentially injects my bloodstream with the last legal drug their is: caffeine. They lose one star because every time I come in here and order a bagel, they are out of onion and chive cream cheese, I think with the amount of people that come in requesting it they should probably order more. Make sure you get a Jitters Café coffee card. Buy nine coffees, get the tenth free. Oh, PS: Don't shy away from the place because you see a hundred thousand cars in the parking lot. The Jitters girls are lightening quick, you'll be in and out faster than you can say bob's your uncle. read more

I'm sure I'm going to get some boos from NKers because this place seems to be THE place for locals to get their coffee/bagels. I am not a local, and therefore I can say with all certainty there are simply better places for breakfast. The place is small. Like ridiculously small. There are 3-4 tables, mostly 2 seaters, and it's very awkward as you try to order and wait for your food. There just really isn't anywhere to stand. And sure, you could take up a table and wait, but I prefer not to when I know there are people who would actually dine there and should be using my seat. The bagels are not bad at all, and in fact, I was pleasantly surprised by the types of bagels they offered, as well as some interesting cream cheese options. And, for our anti-gluten friends, they offer a few (read: VERY few) gf options. But hey, it's something. I think the biggest disappointment for me was the coffee. It's really nothing special, and certainly not worth the 20 minute drive it takes me to get to Jitters. The flavors are varied, but when it actually comes to what's in my cup, the coffee is lackluster. The place is reasonably priced. For 2 bagels and 2 medium coffees I don't think we look at spending more than $10 or so. Not bad at all. read more

Great coffee that hits the spot every time. You can tell that Jitters never intended to be a huge coffee place as it is very small and quaint. The girls at the counter make the coffee for you, which if you've ever been to a non-drive thru starbucks is a godsend. I'm not sure what they put in the coffee, but I love every sip of it. The baked goods are good too. They seem to be homemade and taste as such. They offer a frequent coffee club where you drink 9 and get the 10th free. So, I remember back in high school, I would stop here and grab a bagel in the morning... Of course, after moving out of Rhode Island for quite a few years, you figure if it hasn't shut down, everything about the business has changed. It's just so common with small businesses. Although, it seems to have gotten better. I have visited a few times now and enjoy their selection of coffee which changes daily. So far, I have tried: Funky Monkey - I like. Banana and mocha, possibly my favorite so far. Biscotti - Also very good, well, if you enjoy biscotti. Creme Brule - Alright. Vanilla with a hint of spice. Chocolate dipped strawberries - Meh. I like mocha, but strawberry and coffee, not my ideal. My boyfriend tried one of their Red Bull fruit fusions,(with passion fruit), which was a little sweet for me but he enjoyed it *very* much. The service has been wonderful no matter the time of day and no matter the amount of questions I have. The food sounds appetizing and I am certainly going to grab a sandwich one of these days. I take a star off for their lack of space. It gets crowded quickly, but luckily, the girls move very fast. You just have to hope for a nice day, so you can sit outside at the picnic tables. read more

I LOVE Jitters! I go out of my way (get off Rt.1 north and take the back way back to Rt. 4 north) to stop in every morning for a BREWED flavored ice coffee. I can't stand a flavored shot in my ice coffee! Everyday they have the usual flavors and then a special different flavor or 2 or 3. The staff is great and the place is super cute and always has awesome flower boxes planted out front. I don't eat there too much but have tried a few of the sandwiches (egg salad and bacon chicken salad) and they are EXCELLENT as well! read more

Jitters cannot get a wrap order right if their life depended on it. I have been to the store 3 times in two weeks and every single time received a wrap with no potatoes. It says on their menu that all wraps come with them, but I've had to send my sandwich back every time. Potatoes are the only reason I order a wrap and every time I'm disappointed. read more

Probably the best coffee I have ever had. Usually I need sugar in my coffee but it's so fresh and tasty that I could drink it black. A little bit of a hike from uri but totally worth it! Stopped here on the way to Folk Fest, had not been here in years. I got an egg and cheese sandwich on their salt bagel and it was fantastic. Having eaten at all the breakfast sandwich places in Providence I must say I was impressed. If I could change anything it would be their iced coffee cup sizes. The medium is strangely small and the large too big, not the usual mediu, size but really that's such a minor complaint. Great place! Went for the first time today, was not disappointed. Although the service was a little slow, it was understandable because it was sooooo busy in there. I expected the place to be bigger, so if you're looking for a guaranteed place to sit and have lunch, this might not be your best bet. Their coffee is always on point! Every time I go there and get food I have enjoyed it. There is always a line but it goes fast and you get service with a smile! Lived in nk all my life and been to jitterz plenty. I love the coffee flavor, but the staff is just unbearable!!! The girls are slow and unattentive. Even when theres hardly any customers, they manage to keep me waiting twenty minutes for a regular black coffee. They seem generally unhappy and rude to customers unless they are friends of theirs. Basically a bunch of moody highschoolers. I really wish jitterz would stop hiring such young unqualified staff. They have such potential and its a huge spot for locals. I visit Jitter's every morning on my way to work, which happends to be during the very busy morning high school rush. Every morning when I approach the counter, no matter which staff member waits on me, I am greeted with a friendly smile.. and most girls have my order memorized and coffee waiting in hand. I did get a peanut butter bar to take home and haven't tried it yet. The dark roast coffee was not as dark roast as I would have liked yet it was very good. Very cute coffee spot with great service and variety of coffee and snack options. Very small from the outside but it has lots of parking( which is private and off the road). I met up with a friend who was visiting uri and we spent about an hour here. Not many people were hanging about but about a dozen or so came through while we were there. Only about 4 tables in the whole place so if it gets busy I could see having to wait for a table. Grab and go seemed to be the trend of the other patrons. My boyfriend has been coming here since high school and he loves the feeling of going in this little hut. It is very small inside, but they have a nice coffee variety and have everything made to order. Iced coffee and hot coffee are both great! Snicker doodle is a must try.
