I'm loving this place! I've gone here a few times for lunch. It's like a restaurant versus fast food Chinese, you place your order and they make your order fresh But you take it to go. They still don't have their seating back because of the Covid situation. The food is tasty and I like the plastic containers they come in. Food is good and VERY generously portioned. No matter how many times I order from them, their portions never cease to amaze me. They seriously fill it to the rim and they aren't just using fillers like a bunch of onions I really enjoy the Kung Pao tofu, which has plenty of fried tofu, zucchini slices, and peanuts. It usually lasts me 2 meals and then some. It also comes with rice. Some of their items do use oyster sauce, so I would clarify if you have a diet restriction. It's usually better to contact the owner through Yelp, since they seem to always be too busy at the restaurant. The only downside is that they close or stop taking orders at random hours. Just called at 6:12pm and after several attempts, someone finally picked up and said they stopped taking orders about 20 mins ago. That said it didn't matter if it was an order placed over the phone or in person. Very strange. I would recommend calling ahead of time. Parking-wise, there has never been an issue. Two words: Food poisoning. I went back and forth on whether I was even going to write this since I HATE writing 1-star reviews - this is my first! - but I feel a moral obligation to do so after what I am experiencing. The only thing I consider 1-star worthy is abjectly failing at your core business function, which in this case is making edible food that doesn't try to murder your customers from the inside. I cannot freaking stand the Karens and Kyles who had some rando employee look at them wrong and deem it worthy of permanently sabotaging a business's reputation - people like that should be dragged behind a car - and if the food were merely mediocre I would just leave it be. And it actually tasted decent for the most part, and it was cheap and plentiful. Other people have had good experiences, apparently, and hooray for them. I did not. Also, to be clear, I know the difference between eating something your body doesn't agree with (like gluten, dairy, or too much spice for someone sensitive to it) and actual food poisoning. Intestinal cramping, fever and chills, and schlepping to the bathroom every two hours while feeling the life force drained from your body are not symptoms of "oh my body didn't like that," they're signs that dinner had a surreptitious bacterial sidekick. My wife (who ate the same things) had a minor version of my symptoms; however, based on previous data she may have the stomach of a vulture, and while I've never seen her eat roadside carrion and hopefully the world will never be apocalyptic enough to require it, I'm sure she would fare better than I in such a situation. I've visited this restaurant about a dozen times since I moved here a year ago. I have ordered something different every time in search of the perfect entree. I have found the perfect entree and will be ordering the Hunan chicken from here on out! Let me say that everything I have order from here had been great, but the Hunan chicken is excellent. It has the perfect balance of a tangy sweetness and spicy. The sauce is incredible and the vegetables were so fresh. The wonton soup is delicious. Very light broth and crisp fresh vegetables. For one, I'm thankful that this place is still open during the pandemic for takeout. It was a Friday night and figure I'd give it a try since it had 4 stars on Yelp. To start off, the lady behind the counter was RUDE as hell. I understand that it was a Friday, it was busy, she had online orders, and people coming in. However, that does not give you a right to rush customers to order and take your irritations out on them. This is the job you signed up for. I had never been here before, so I wasn't really sure what to get, but when I tried to ask her something she just brushed me off. So I only ended up getting shrimp fried and veggie chow mein. She told me that it would be a 20 minute wait. I thought that was a lot of time considering I'm use to Chinese food being an in out thing. However, we're in a pandemic, they don't want to waste food so everything's cooked to order, I get it. I waited in my car until the 20 minutes were up and then I went in expecting for my food to be ready and she snapped at me and said 15 more minutes "were busy" and continued doing whatever she was doing. Seriously?! Like, no apology for needing more time or anything like that. Just straight up rude about it. Overall, the food was decent. Not the best shrimp fried rice I've ever had. But when I take customer service and quality in consideration, customer service is far more valuable. And this place DOES NOT have it in their bag. They should not continue to be hyped on Yelp, 4 stars is a rating as a whole. Ok so for me grubhub is always convenient because parking in Long beach will have you needing medication. So I was in the mood for chinese food. I've never eaten here before I will say the delivery was fast and the items were packed neatly with saran wrap. I ordered soley off the pics on yelp... I ordered the pork slices, mongolian beef plate which comes with your choice of soup or won tons, fried rice and a drink, I also ordered the veggie egg rolls to meet the minimum delivery not because I'm greedy haa. The pork had a nice flavor (a little porky) but good. The mongolian beef (a little beefy) I'm used to crispy mongolian beef but the onions added a nice flavor. The fried rice was a little bland I had to add hot sauce. I couldn't use the soy sauce because it had msg in it. (Its prepackaged) I will say the cheese won tons were really good I could have eaten 8 to 10 of those easy. My overall consensus is the food is good, if I order again I would try different items but definitely the won tons and egg rolls possibly the pork..maybe. If you're in the mood for decent food, quick delivery and a well packed meal I'd say at least try it. Disclaimer I am a very picky eater. They don't create vents for air to escape so orange chicken is soggy before you get home and the chow Mein was so overcooked that if I cooked pasta this way my Italian grandmother would rise from the dead. Call a dial a ride, go to the hospital, get a prescription for a power scooter, wait six weeks for Medicare to fund it, charge it for 3 days, ride it across country, hunt me down at work and slap me so hard that I would never cook again. Huge portions and delicious food. Dinner order of orange chicken made two meals. The egg roll may have been the only slightly disappointing thing since it was basically goo inside.
