I had a problem with our aging heater on the coldest day of the year and gave these guys a call. They came out within about an hour. They checked it out and decided they needed a part that was at a place 30 minutes away. These guys drove in the snow to go and get it! Unfortunately for us the part didn't work and they offered us a great deal on a new furnace. Despite the deal they were giving us, it was still more money than we had on hand. So they worked out a payment plan with us. In the meantime they left us a decent sized space heater for our freezing house. A few days later they returned with the new heater but for some reason it didn't work. So the only one they had that would work was a more expensive one. But instead of charging us more they honored our original contract and installed the new new one and ate the difference. I've dealt with a lot of companies that do various kinds of home services and this never happens. Mary and Juan were both really good to us and very honest. I would highly recommend using their services if you're in need, not only for their very reasonable prices but their great punctuality and customer service as well. read more

My air conditioner was taking forever to cool the house. The first company I called came and took one look at the outside unit and told me I needed a new unit that would cost $5k - $10k. I wanted a 2nd opinion and called JJ Heating & Cooling Company. I spoke with them and was the owner and he spent a lot of time with me on the phone discussing possible causes. The owner was also the person who came to my home. First he checked the temperature of the air from the ducks inside and saw that it wasn't as cool as it should be. Next he checked the air filter which was okay. Then he checked the unit outside and saw that the condenser coils needed to be cleaned and the coolant was low. He cleaned the coils and added coolant and the air is working great. I received great service from the owner who spent a lot of time answering my questions and explaining things to me. JJ Heating & Cooling Company w/great customer service and work ethic and will not try to rip you off. Having an honest contractor is rare and a plus for myself as a single woman. read more

My house gets way too hot and I was tired of roasting in my own juices during the summer so decided to get AC. These guys were great, the whole process was easy and fast. Made an appointment to get a quote, took about an hour to show them around and talk about what I wanted, but the quote was much more reasonable than other providers in town so decided to go with them. Install happened just a couple of days later and maybe took these guys 5 hours at the most to put in a new AC unit and replace my heater which was way too old. JJ's came out and did an incredible job. I think a lot of people are ignorant on how expensive an HVAC system is and the fact that they are hiring a skilled tradesman to inspect and repair an essential electrical/mechanical system in their home. JJ's sent out a technician within 2 hours on a Sunday morning to repair an already to old system on a 100 degree day and offer advice on how to maintain my system and how to not waste money on"Band-Aids" for the system. This company was professional from beginning to end. We had a difficult situation with tenants and they were able to handle the situation professionally and within the day. The technicians who completed the work were very polite, pleasant and respectful. The receptionist and the original inspector were also easy to reach via phone when needed. We had some issues with our central gas and the smell was coming from the furnace. We called BGE out to take a look and they told us the issue was something unrelated. We called JJ to fix the issue and they diagnosed something completely different and had the problem fixed within minutes. They even came out to my house within an hour of calling them so A+ on the prompt service.
