They recommended an oil change and to change the spark plugs. I picked it up that day and payed $650. Before getting a mile down the road, the check engine light came back on. Took it back in, they "fixed" the issue. Drove it a mile down the road and same thing happened. They informed me they installed the wrong parts the first time and would need to keep it overnight until the OEM parts arrived the next day. After the new parts were installed, I took the car back home only to have the same issue AGAIN. I took it back in so they could fix the issue I have paid them to fix. That's when they said it would take a new timing sensor, that would not arrive until the next day. After paying $190 for a new sensor to be installed, I took the car home. This time the car had the same issue 28 miles from my home. I'm now out $840 to H&H, $150 to the tow company, 2 weeks without a functioning vehicle, and 4 separate trips to H&H where I was assured each time the problem was "fixed." All that while being no where closer to fixing the issue I had to begin with. $1,000 spent, 2 weeks wasted, and I could not recommend this place any less. Cheers

I have a 1990 Toyota truck that I use every day for work. On this truck, the speedometer sends a signal to the computer, which tells the transmission when to shift. When the circuit in the speedometer failed, the transmission started shifting very erratically, and the truck became undriveable. I couldn't find anyone who was willing to work on a 35-year-old speedometer. Out of desperation, I gave the details to ChatGPT and asked for a recommendation. It pointed me to iKarz Speedometers & Automotive in Bakersfield, CA. I called and spoke with Chris, who told me they had all the necessary equipment to troubleshoot the unit down to the component level, repair it, and then test it to ensure everything met factory specifications. I also asked him about replacing the burned out Hi-Beam and Over-Drive and indicator lamps while they had it, and he suggested that he could replace all the original dash illumination lamps and indicator lamps with new, brighter, longer-lasting German-made bulbs. I overnighted the instrument cluster to him via UPS. He came in when they were closed on the Friday after Thanksgiving to receive it. They started work on it first thing Monday morning, and had it repaired, tested and shipped via UPS Next Day Air on Wednesday. My truck is all back together now and it is shifting flawlessly. It is such a pleasure to drive again! In an era where real customer service is hard to find, Chris and iKarz Speedometers & Automotive, delivered in every way.
