This place used to be good. I decided to go back after the pandemic. I had gel nails done 2x. Went I went back a third time, someone who I'd not seen before did my nails. She was taking direction from the main lady in the shop. She filed down my nails with the machine. She went so low that my nails have been very brittle and are tender. The damage continues to show up. It's been about 4 weeks since my last session. Today my pinky nail split and I have a hole in my nail. I've always used acrylic and decided to transition to gels and never have my nails ended so brittle. Definitely NOT going back. read more

This nail salon should be SHUT DOWN!! It was my first time coming here, and they burnt my feet with the callus remover they used.I ended up in the ER. I called them on the way to the hospital and begged them to tell me what product they used. The woman I spoke to wouldn't tell me. As a business owner myself, you take responsibility for anything that should happen to your clients. It was a simple pedicure that turned into my worst nightmare. Not being able to walk on my feet for over 6 days now. I've since tried to get in touch with the owner, but the owner is never available when I call, and no one seems to know when they'll be available. Simple and no fuss service. They do politely ask if you want an extra scrub and extra massage. But it's totally your choice and they don't force it at all :) The ladies I had were good and even corrected the nail polish because I accidentally hit my nail on the side of the chair. Tip: bring cash for tips :) , there's plenty of parking in front which is a plus so you don't scramble for a place. Everything was good and I would have revisited but just one week post visiting my gel nails have started to pull away at the edges. I'm used to gels lasting at the very least two weeks. I was excited to try a new place especially from reading the good reviews but I was very disappointed. I got acrylics and each nail is a different shape and they are SO THICK. Also it took forever. They painted my nails one by one and put it in the blue light one by one, like they wanted to keep me there for so long. But yeah my nails look pretty bad and from the side they are soooo thick. Very bad acrylics. Also my friend called before hand and made her wait like 30/40 mins for them to do a manicure. Also not very nice. The prices are not too bad though, but still, not worth it. This place was a surprising hidden spot. I was able to get in without an appointment. It was a pedicure emergency. I thought it would be a good idea to do my own nails- no! They helped by putting an acrylic on my toe and were very gentle. They had massage chairs and also gave me one of the best foot massages I've ever received. As an avid hiker I put my feet through a lot and every once in a while I like to show them some appreciation by getting a pedi with massage. They get happy when rubbed the right way. It had been a while since their last visit to the spa and since I was house sitting near the shop I normally go to, I thought I'd pop in to get a pedi. Boo!!! They were booked till closing time. With their sights set on some TLC, I had to find another place, stat. I opened my Yelp app and the ratings and reviews brought me here. Located in a strip mall along a main thoroughfare with free parking, this place isn't much to look at on the outside. Eh! As long as they have my favorite brand of nail polish it can't be all that bad. Sure enough they did. I picked my color and took a seat in a spa chair turned on the back massager and settled in quickly. A woman drew the water for my pedi and in my feet went. Wow!! That was quick, they were already getting happy. The process of getting a pedi is pretty much the same wherever one goes. What's important is the end result, flawless polish. As soon as the polish was applied, the woman proceeded to put my flip flops on my feet. What the heck?!?!? The paint isn't even dry. No sooner than I thought that, crash, the polish on one toe was slightly ruined. She did the typical repair, a little dab of polish remover and and gentle repaint over. I never understood why they did that, you can still tell the polish was messed up in the first place. Grrr!!! I sat in the chair for a while to let the polish dry, paid, walked out and told myself I'd never be back. read more

Please don't go here. This place is disgusting. It looks like all of the rest of the cheap nail salons that don't take pride in anything, just want you in and out. The guy who did my french manicure, can't paint a straight line to save his life. If you can't make it straight, don't do French's!!! Then to top it off I went and had my lip waxed. My lip started bleeding a little bit, and the lady, WHO DIDN'T EVEN WASH HER HANDS, and I'm not exactly sure when the last time she washed her hands was, used her FINGER to wipe off the blood from my lip. I wanted to get out of there immediately to wash my face and put alcohol on it. Not to mention they put like 5 tons of acrylic on my nails so it looked no joke, 1/2 inch thick. O yeah and the warm towels they put on you to wipe your leg down, look like they have never been laundered, potentially someones blood on them... OMG GROSS! I will never go back again. I had some gels done here, which took almost two hours! The paint kept curdling on my nails, shrinking and buckling under the UV light... They put about 6 coats on, then had to drill it off TWICE on 4 of my finger nails. By the time they finished the shop had closed and i had gone through FIVE (yes 5) technicians trying to fix it because they didn't know how to. My hands were under the heat so much that my knuckles started to burn/get sore. They said it must have been a problem with the paint.... They offered me a free one next time... errr, no thanks. I used to live down the street from this salon, so I've been coming here for years. The service has been consistently good and prices have remained reasonable. I love that the ladies here aren't pushy and in your face during manis/pedis. They never try to sell you on extra services. It's a nice and relaxing experience. I have to say that they always excel with pedicures but I've found that their manicures are never perfect. I've had issues with the nail shape and polish. However, when it comes to toes, mine always look great and lasts for weeks! I wish they had a better polish selection and played some music! This place is alright. I've had some good and bad experiences at this place. I've gotten a variety of services done here but I usually come here for a gel manicure and just a regular pedicure. The pedicures here are always on point, but their gel manicures are just a bit off. It depends on who does your gel manicure because this one woman who does it (I don't remember her name) made my gel manicure super bumpy with air bubbles. Majority of the people there don't know how to do designs and can't do more than a flower. But like I said it depends one who does your manicure. When they are really busy, they'll rush through and try to move on to the next customer. One thing about the staff that kind of rubbed me the wrong way was that when I used my credit card, they asked me if I had cash instead. I said no and they told me that cash was better. I tipped on my credit card and they asked again if I had cash for tip and I said no and they said the same thing- that cash was better. read more

Ok today was the final straw. After coming here for some time, I cannot go back here, my eye is now swelling due to the hot glob of wax that was dropped in my eye and on my eyelashes during my eyebrow wax today. As she roughly scraped the hot wax off my eyelashes : "Are they fake eyelashes or real?" "Real." "Then you ok." When I first started going there I liked the place because the room was open and airy and I liked the chairs. My first unpleasant experience was when one of the main workers who does both manicures and brows was so rough that I had to wince in pain when she was doing my fill. She then proceeded to complain loudly in Korean to the other worker when I paid and tipped "only" $15. on a $78. bill. During my last appointment a woman walked in and showed this same worker her black infected toe and told her she had gotten an infection when she had her pedicure there two weeks ago. She told them she had come in twice trying to find the worker who gave her the pedicure, that they needed to disinfect their equipment. She said, "I don't want anything from you, I have just been coming in here to find someone who cares." During the whole exchange, the worker simply repeated, "Here? Two weeks ago, no, infection next day not two weeks. No." The lady finally gave up and left, saying."Tomorrow I'm having my toenail removed. You need to clean your equipment." I would have saved myself today's grief and a swollen eye if I hadn't been so complacent to obvious warning signs. To be more than fair however, if you don't get this brute you can be ok here I guess if you don't get an infection. John does great foot massages, Lily is sweet and decent, others are mediocre but not bad. And there is the younger man who was excellent and always tried to go above an beyond. But the lady who I keep getting here works here all day every day, does all the waxing and facials, and seems to do my manicures 90% of the time when i walk in, is a menace. read more

JL Nail Spa did a fabulous job with my nails! On a Sunday afternoon, there were hardly any other patrons so I was tended to immediately and without an appointment - best case scenario! It's a pretty large, clean and brightly lit space and you're not hit with the toxic polish and acetone fumes when you walk in. Two friendly ladies gave me a great pedicure and gel manicure. They were super fast (I was in and out in an hour) but efficient. My only complaints are the medium-range of colors and the lack of nail art expertise from the lady who did my mani (I asked for a simple painted glitter heart on each of my ring fingers and they didn't turn out so well. Its a great place to stop by if you're wanting to pamper yourself, but don't want to shell out more than $50. For less than $50, you can get a mani/pedi- a massage-waxed!!!
