We decided to look for recommendations in my neighborhood mom's group and follow up those by referencing Yelp reco's. Decided to call Speake's Plumbing and so glad we did! We called on a Thursday afternoon and left a message and received an immediate call back. They said someone could come out the following day. Speake's was excellent about communicating and we opted in to receive text messages. They let us know that someone would come by between 10-2 on Friday. And they did! Enter Mike on Friday afternoon around 1:30! We showed him our bathroom and he could smell the sewer gas too! We had kept the door closed to keep fumes down to the rest of the house. Also opened a window. After he removed the toilet and scraped off the wax he found the real problem. He came to show us what he discovered. There was a gap between where the flange and the drain pipe meet. Mike fixed the pipe and replaced the flange with a new beautiful brass one. This is the only pic I took. We love our Toto toilets and asked Mike to replace the insides with a new flush valve kit since the current one looked really old. He replaced the toilet and cleaned everything up. We paid and he sent our receipt via email. The price seemed in-line and we were very happy with Mike and the service he provided. We will definitely call Speake's Plumbing again if a plumbing issue arises.

The plumber replace the line too ( not necessary) and was there 30 minutes and my bill was 400. The toilet now flushes very loudly. I understand we all need to make money but I feel as though I was taken advantage of. This should have been a less than 200 job. Another plumber same company came out to check his work because it flushes so loud now it's actually worse than the initial problem. For 400 I should be happy and I'm not. I will not use them again. Very disappointed. I do want to say that Eugene is my favorite plumber, but he is not the one that did the work. I was definitely overcharged for the work that was done.

I have been using Carrollton Plumbing for several years so I have a history with them. I kind of gave them a blank check to find and fix the leak. This is not a thing I would do with any other business. (They did give me an estimate.) I have been bit by so many business in the 25 years here in Carrollton. Since finding Carrollton Plumbing several years ago I have had to call them several times and I trust them. They fixed my leaks. Yes more than one and made separate repairs that turned up while they were here. Something needs to be understood I am not related to and do not have any financial interest in Carrollton Plumbing. I do not recommend giving a blank check to any business unless you personally Trust them. I trust Carrollton Plumbing. The Trucks state "Best Plumber in Texas" and I believe it.

I recently received a water bill that was 4x the prior month, with not add'l water usage. I called CPS and the very next day they sent Luke and Jared out to test for leaks. The guys could have jumped straight into a more expense test with the main box, but instead they were methodically, went water device by water device (ie, sinks, faucets, washing machine, each toilet to see if any of those were leaking - also finding the fittings to my toilets were original to the 1983 house (which I had them replace - for a reasonable price). The last test proved (we hope - haven't' received a bill yet) was a leaky toilet. Yet they went ahead and then tested the main controller, first the house then the irrigation system. Fortunately, no pressure change - so all was good (whew!). Best of all Luke explained all the way through what he was doing and spoke in a way I could understand what he was doing. We discovered a gas leak at the meter near the ground. We called Atmos (assuming they would fix at…read moreno charge - hahaha). Monday afternoon they removed the meter and said they would return with new one after we fixed the leak. So, no hot water, no heat, no gas stove (no hot shower). Started calling Plumbers Monday night and found a company that answered their phone and scheduled themselves to come out early Tuesday morning (fitting me into an already busy schedule). This company did it all! They pulled the city permit, dug up pipe, replaced pipe that had almost completely rusted thru and then tested the line. The test showed other leaks so they would have to come back (fit me in their schedule) to look for leak. They came back tuesday night and here until 7:30 pm. And back again next day. Found leaks in gas cook top, laundry room and one of the furnaces in the attic. They capped off all other future potential issues and then contacted city to come for inspection and worked with Atmos to come once we passed the inspection. All in all this company was excellent to work with, highly skilled, extremely thorough and great at communicating every step of the way! 10 or 10 from me!! It didn't even last a year before the heating element cracked... When I reached out, no one responded for a week, before I could get someone out to just come and access it. Upon inspection it was the heating element that had cracked. Rheem had them on back order, so Jeff's colleague, Antonio researched and found a replacement element, that was available the next day and made every effort to get our water heater repaired asap, before the weekend. Antonio is responsive, professional and helps in a timely manner. Jeff didn't respond for a week. We were without hot water for 10 days! The water heater never got to the set temperature of 129°, it would only get to 102°, which I don't feel sanitizes my dishes and clothes. Fast forward to less than 2 weeks later and the water heater stopped heating entirely again! I reached out to Jeff on Thursday (6/25) and still haven't heard a word from him. Thankfully, I have Antonio's contact info, as he actually is responsive and responds within minutes. My issue is I reported it not heating last Thursday, this go round, the part has to be ordered and they don't know how long it will be before it gets here. I call BS, as I ran a maintenance and construction company for 17yrs and I know all of the verbal jargon used by vendors to delay repairs/replacement of parts... I've heard them all... So we're on day 6 without hot water and no idea how much longer we're going to be without a hot shower, hot water to wash dishes or our clothes! So extremely frustrating! I had received a coupon in the mail from triple crown and that's how I chose them. Three guys arrived and where very pleasant, one pulled out a monkey wrench, and in less than 2 minutes had my issue fixed. He very gracious said he wouldn't charge me a service fee but then turned around and charged me a $150 tool fee. That must have been some magical monkey wrench. I had a coupon too. That was $150 with a coupon. I have had some other issues with plumbing recently and have found some plumbers do not charge service fees or tool fees. They will give you quotes for service and not up-charge you like crazy. Do your research...ask for any hidden fees. Every plumber I have talked to I now ask, do you have a "tool fee" before scheduling and most of them don't even know what I'm talking about.
