After continuing to experience problems, I decided to get another opinion and returned to my previous mechanic at Al's Auto Repair. They rescanned the vehicle and identified a cylinder 5 misfire along with the idle issue, and provided a clearer diagnostic explanation and repair direction. I appreciate the work that was done previously, but I do wish the root issue had been identified sooner, as it resulted in repeated visits and additional stress trying to figure out why the truck continued breaking down.
