After braving the line at Klassic Doughnuts, we decided there was only one thing that could make…read morethem even better--coffee. So we wandered over to Pinup Coffee at Back Bay Farmhouse Brewery, and we're glad we did. I ordered the Salty Texan, a delicious take on the classic caramel macchiato. It was smooth, well-balanced, and just the right combination of sweet and salty. I would definitely order it again. The seating was comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it turned out to be much more than just a stop for coffee. We struck up a conversation with a wonderful mother and daughter visiting from Wisconsin. During our chat, the daughter shared that she was getting married later today. It was one of those unexpected moments that reminds you how enjoyable simple conversations with complete strangers can be. Great coffee, outstanding doughnuts, comfortable surroundings, and memorable conversation--it made for a wonderful morning. If you're visiting Back Bay Farmhouse Brewery, Pinup Coffee is well worth a stop.

I love their options of drinks an biscuits, I've especially been craving their bacon and cheddar biscuit since I've last had it, and it's nice to go to a cafe that dos things a little differently than the standard! One thing I also adore about this location is how they will host small markets on the lawn outside the house! One time me and my friend finished chatting and having coffee and we unknowingly walked outside to see a bunch of vendors that weren't there before! It was so fun to walk around and speak with everyone, they were all so sweet and I ended up buying multiple things unplanned! I will say it can be a tight squeeze between the doorway and the counter when ordering as the hallway is small and the line can grow rapidly. But if it's not cold outside or busy there then it's not really an issue at all! I'm sad that they aren't open past 1-2PM most days, but that's understandable given the business they run and thier location! Overall, I couldn't recommend tho place more for anyone wanting a new study spot or place to try out in general in VB!

I love how they have variety of seat options couches, hightop, and regular indoor and outdoor seating and they have board games to come play and have nice drink and good food made with perfection. Services was smooth and quick definitely a good spot to come in during a off day or even a work day to get a variety of drinks coffee tea and special drinks that they have based on movies and favorite sweet treats . I tried their Cubano espresso which contains 2oz of espresso mixed with brown sugar its a perfect balance of sweetness and I tried there lunch menu item the Cuban sandwich 10/10 flavor and the bread was nice and soft perfect sandwich . Definitely will be coming back again to try out more option.

My wife found Pourfavor Coffee Shop on Facebook, so we decided to take the drive to check it out…read more It's tucked inside an apartment complex, with shops on the bottom and apartments above, so parking can be a bit scarce. Inside, though, it's cozy and welcoming with plenty of seating, plus a few spots outside in front of the shop. The staff was friendly, even though when I asked about the seasonal flight, the only description I got was that it was "football themed." I figured it might be new, so I gave it a try anyway. The seasonal flight was $21 for four shot-sized lattes. They tasted good, but honestly, not worth the price. We also ordered a hot chocolate, which unfortunately was not good at all--I wouldn't recommend it. The lemon bar and pistachio ricotta were okay, but nothing that really stood out. Overall, the space is nice and the drinks weren't bad, but for the price and the experience, I don't think it lived up to the hype for us.

I stopped by for coffee and pastries and admired the atmosphere and cultural touches throughout the shop. I came early in the morning, and you could already smell the fresh pastries and the aroma of the coffee as soon as you walked in. DRINK REVIEW Buko Pandan Latte - 4/5 Ube Velvet Latte - 4/5 Sakura (seasonal flavor) with Strawberry Foam - 5/5 I originally got this for my sister, but it ended up being my favorite. PASTRIES Pepperoni Bread - 3.5/5 - Decent. Pandesal with Spam, Egg & Cheese - 3/5 My least favorite, but still decent and kid-friendly. Ube Pandesal with Cream Cheese Filling - 4/5 My favorite pastry of the bunch. Biscoff Ensaymada - 3/5 A bit dense, but the Biscoff butter icing was good. The flavors overall were good, though I personally would've liked the coffee to be a bit stronger. The Sakura Latte definitely stood out the most for me. Overall, this is a solid Filipino coffee shop in VA Beach that's worth checking out if you're in the area.

We were able to use the back room in the cafe that had a large table and provided a cozy setting with lots of natural light coming through the windows and cute macaroon-shaped pillows on the chairs. We had hibiscus tea and peach tea for the table to share. The peach tea was everyone's favorite, it didn't even need any added sugar. It was served in cute pastel teapots, though one of the teapots had a chip at the spout which made me a little nervous. We also had macaroons made in-house for the table. I can't remember if I asked the staff if any of the macaroons were dairy free, but I asked my friends at the table and was told there was dairy in them. I later asked the staff if there was any food they offered that was dairy-free and they showed me their pastry counter but ultimately determined that everything offered had dairy, so all I had while at the café was the tea. The ladies I was with loved the macaroons. I wish I could have had some. I recommend at least 1-2 food options be added in the café for folks who have a dairy allergy. Café Genevieve provides a nice atmosphere for tea with a unique setting -- in a 1734 house that is decked out with Parisian decor. It's not the most private setting -- it got pretty noisy during our time there and there were a few interruptions to our conversation. We should have asked if we could have closed the door, because that definitely would have helped with noise and privacy. Overall, the customer service was great and the tea was really good! If you want to meet here for a private event, conversation, or just want some peace and quiet, that back room with the door closed could provide it. It's a nice café to check out.

They have a few tables downstairs and some seating outside as well. They sell different pastries, quiches, sandwiches, macarons, coffee, and etc. They also have several flavored teas and lemonades. It's a very laid back chill vibe with a unique feel. The staff were all friendly. I met Chasity and she was very nice. We chatted for a bit. I got butter beer and birthday cake macarons. I also got a croque madam which is a French grilled cheese with ham and a fried egg added, with bauchamel sauce. The sandwich was tasty!! Both macarons were good but the butter beer was my favorite. It tasted slightly like butterscotch. I like this little cafe. If you haven't been, you should definitely check them out!
