We are in town for a wedding and spotted this place and decided to give it a try. The pizza was ready in minutes. You can order by the slice and the prices are easy on the wallet. We visited Jo-Jo's for the first time this past weekend and it was amazing! The service was very welcoming and the food was delicious! It's easy to see why the restaurant has been around for so many years! We tried the old world pizza, which was perfect! The crust was just the right thickness and crispness for an old world style pie.  The sauce and toppings were simple, but good quality! We also tried the garlic knots, which we really liked because they were not overly oily or garlicy (just a good balance). The sauce which accompanied the knots was very flavorful. While these two items were the top hitters, we were also pleased with the salad and the wings.  We will definitely be stopping by Jo-Jo's in the future when we are close to the Hershey area.  If you are visiting the local taproom a couple blocks away, grab some food from Jo-Jo's to nosh on.   Highly recommend it. read more

Huge thanks to Jo Jo's! I'm in a local hotel and have two broken toes, and the very friendly delivery guy was super sweet about bringing my order up to my room. JoJo's is one of our favorite pizza and takeout restaurants in the area. We probably get takeout from JoJo's 2 or 3 times a month. Their pizza is great and always so fresh and tasty. They also have great subs and paninis that we throw in the rotation too. We love getting their loaded fries but some of their other apps are good too. The service is always fast and we never have to wait more than 15-20 minutes for our food. The staff has always been friendly too. They also have a nice cute little outdoor patio area right in the corner of the square in Hummelstown. We can't recommend JoJo's enough. read more

We come to Jo Jo's quite frequently, as it's super convenient for us to get to and worth it every time! We mostly stop in during lunch to order the lunch specials. I always order the 1/2 sub, fries, and drink (7.50) and my spouse always orders the two slices with a drink (7.50). I will fluctuate between ham and cheese and Italian subs and they are always the same, never any complaints. My spouse will order the Sicilian slice and a different slice every time. Our favorites (yes, we share) are the buffalo chicken and the white pizzas. The lady who always rings us out is super friendly and we joke about something. The food comes out pretty quickly, sometimes they are VERY busy so it takes a little longer. We just love it, especially when it's warm enough to sit outside. Wanted to leave a review because I felt badly for all the folks that had a 1 star experience here and I think it skews Jo Jo's ratings a bit. I ordered take out online and had it delivered to the hotel 3 miles away. Food came at exactly the time stated on my receipt right down to the minute. It took 45 mins on a Saturday night at 6:30 which is damn good IMHO. I never dealt with any staff, so I can't say if they're friendly or not. We got 2 large pies and 20 wings. Wings were meaty and crispy, hot sauce was tasty without being too hot, and pies were pretty decent (let's face it, you're not in Chicago or NYC). Overall, they were convenient, timely and efficient and I wouldn't hesitate to order take out from them if I was ever in the area again. read more

Being the only thing open on Hummelstown at 9pm I thought it das gong to be super lackluster food however I was proven wrong. The pizza was top notch, the wings were perfectly cooked and the chicken on that grilled chicken salad was tasty af. The sauce and cheese are great and the crust is slightly thicker than NY style. I'm no Dave portnoy but it's say 7.8. We had a sizeable to go order late at night and they served us quickly and the food was out in under 10 mins. It's great that there's beer and wine right in the front door you to purchase too. Overall this is a good place to find after a full day at Hersheypark even if there are other options open, which aren't in Hummelstown. The pizza arrived warm but undercooked; the under crust was very doughy and the toppings could have been left in the oven longer as well. I would highly recommend ordering the pizza well done, especially if you're getting delivery and it'll be sitting in the box. At least not compared to what I find in the tri-state New York/New Jersey area. The pizza although not the best I've ever had was surprisingly good. The crust held its shape and it was just a good standard cheese pizza. The chicken Parm was also decent. Not overly greasy but the sub roll was a little mushy which made the dish a little offputting in the pallet. The Panini was the star. Crispy outside and perfectly melted gooey cheese with a nice big thick slice of tomato. The garlic tasted fresh and was the perfect complement to the other flavors. Would totally order again if not planning to do fast food or make it to the restaurant. I heard from friends who were down here that their salads were pretty decent as well. Just okay pizza shop. Good for a quick bite. Food: i ordered for pickup as this is one of the closest pizza restaurants walking distance to me. I was not impressed with the food. Ordered calamari, which were sparse, oily and gummy. I tossed them in air fryer to crisp them up a little and brown a bit more. The antipasti salad was good for a salad. The garlic knots had no garlic flavor, tasted more like bread with olive oil and we're a bit hard not soft. I wanted to judge place based on the pizza but i wanted a combination slice which they informed me they didn't sell by the slice so I didn't get any pizza. Though I've been here before for their regular slice and it's okay but nothing out of the ordinary Price: the calamari was definitely overpriced for the amount served and the quality of fish. Ambiance: i like the the take out and restaurant are sort of divided. I peaked i to restaurant and it's sort of spacious and homey. Service: it seemed as though the same person service the eat in side was also manning the take out register. It took a bit for anyone to notice me and ask if I needed anything. My order was ready and perfectly packaged. My family and I are in town visiting my in laws. My husband couldn't stop raving about the subs here. We were passing through town and stopped here one day for lunch. I asked him to compare it to our favorite hoagie place in FL so I knew what to expect. For me after eating the sub, I liked JoJo's better! The bread is what did it. The items were so simple, but all together with the bread and hot peppers I got I have to agree it was amazing! Me, my husband and his mom recommended this place she comes here all the time. So the one door didn't open so we had to go to the other one without any notice or signs (only reason it is 4 start) friendly people. A good menu and I had the mini boli which had ham, pepperoni, and cheese and loaded fries (which it is cheese, Bacon, and ranch). It was good. My husband had the chicken fingers and pizza. His mom had the salad which it was good. I wasn't sure to come beforehand because I have been to other pizza places that can be good and others a miss (I don't always do mom and pop pizza shop post for that reason because one day it is good and the next day crappy). I'm not sure if you or anyone who orders from JoJo's in Hummelstown, but I just had the worst experience. Ordered online, 1st half hamburger, 2nd half olive, and them mushroom and bacon. Also DO NOT CUT. I then drive home to Annville. Open the pizza, and there are olives all over the pizza, double hamburger on half, and the pizza is double sliced. I will not eat anything with olives and my kid will not eat hamburger on pizza. So now I am out 1/2 a pizza. I did the correct thing and called the business and calmly explained the situation, and you know how I am on the phone. They tell me they will make me a fresh pizza and refund me if I come back. I accept the offer. I come in and say I'm the one who had a problem with the pizza. A guy (the manager) and some other dude ask why I didn't bring the other pizza back. I explain that it is illegal for me to give it back, as it is a clear violation of food and safety guidelines. I offer a picture that my daughter sent (because I thought after the fact). A quick glance, not even zoomed I'm, "those aren't olives, they are mushrooms." I argue that they aren't and i just want my money back and the pizza they offered. Nope. They pull it off the counter. So I start to argue and get heated. Do you know what it takes for me to yell at a someone, let alone a food server? I left with the pizza refunded, tip not refunded, and am about to eat the cold fries I got with the original order. Stuck my fingers in a few slices and confirmed they were olives. So we're on a cross country Rv trip from central Calif to northern NJ and while in Hershey we ordered a cheese pie from Jo Jo's and we weren't expecting a good pie. As soon as I opened the box I knew. This was not a good pie. It was a great one. I inhaled slice after slice and the wife enjoyed the Greek salad she wanted. If you're a pizza lover don't hesitate. Really disappointed in JoJos. Ingredients were placed on the pizza that were not listed on the menu. I'm allergic to these ingredients and I called to ask about what happened and to get it corrected.
