Good afternoon, I placed a to go order with your Fort Ben location today and when I got home with my pizza, the toppings were only in the center of my pizza. I ordered a large slaughterhouse five like always and was dissatisfied with the pizza. I called back and a young girl answered the phone. I asked to speak with a manager, she placed me on hold for about 5 seconds and then got back on the phone to screen the call as if she was the person in charge. I didn't get a name, but I could tell that it was the young girl that gave me the pizza earlier. After complaining about the order, she then told me that the manager was busy and that he would call me back whenever he becomes available. I was livid due to the fact that I asked to speak with a manager and she had got back on the phone and proceeded to handle the call for the manager! I felt like my complaint was not heard and I felt rushed. I have been eating at your restaurants at Fort Ben and Irvington for several years now and never received service or food like this.  I called the Irvington store and spoke with Katie and she gave me your email address as well as apologized. I've ate Jockomo's several times over the years but had never taken the family since we moved to Indianapolis. That changed one late Saturday afternoon. One Slaughterhouse Five Pizza and a couple of beer later my wife said this was one of the best pizza's she ever had. And my 4 year old ate three big pizza which is a lot for him. Pretty good! Met a freind here and it was a first for the both of us. I ordered the build your own pizza so I have the pesto tomatoe sauce with veggies.. black olives..red peppers and spinach..delicious!! again delicious! I also had the ceasar salad and it too was good. Fresh lettuce and croutons. My server was a young man who was very patient and tentative to our need and wants (biggie to me) a few minor mishaps but they were corrected immediately. For the most part the atmosphere was a little loud and that could be that's it's a kid and family friendly restaurant so there's bound to be some loud talking and laughing. Ample parking and outdoor seating and there are other shops above the restaurant that you can visit. Jackamo makes a good pizza. Have plenty of different flavors like the lasagna pizza. You wouldn't w spect it but it does have that same flavor with the Alfredo sauce instead of marinara. Became one of our favorites. You can with get thin and crispy or a thicker more hand tossed crust. Choose to your liking. They are accommodating. read more

Always enjoy our trips to Jockamo's. Place wasn't too busy although we were eating well after the dinner rush. We sat outside which was nice, only ones out there, but think that aided in not getting our drinks refreshed as we are used to, but it wouldn't be enough to keep us from returning. I went here for dinner during the week an it wasn't very busy but service was slow. It seems like a bunch of youuu kids were running the place. As soon as we got our food a gal came by to ask if there was anything that she could take. This was quite odd since we just started eating. The breadsticks were just so so. The food was fine but not great. I had high hopes since this place is near my new home but I was definitely underwhelmed. They do have a decent menu and beer options. The pizza combinations are unquie like the Jockamo Special which has pesto, balsamic reduction, and artichoke among other things. You would not think that artichoke would work on pizza, but it gives the pizza a little extra zing. The ninth street salad is amazing if you substitute the shrimp with bacon to give it an extra crunch. read more

This is an OK place and the food was decent service was mediocre. A little bit pricey for the quality.

Meet up with some old friends from my college days so were in town for an evening. We got to experience good craft beer, good breadsticks, good nacho and parmesean sauces for those breadsticks, good house salad, heard about good spinach salad (since my kiddo kept that to himself), and good pizzas. The service was pretty quick and also. ...good. We ordered one pizza with the pineapple and it was the best tasting one of them all, another that was Thai which was good, but not as good as the Hawaiian, and I rarely like Hawaiian pizza. A rare 5-star rating from me. As far as pizza goes in Indianapolis, there is Jockamo, there is Bazbeaux, and then there's everyone else (although Some Guys Pizza is really good too). I have been to the original store in Irvington many times but have never reviewed it, so I'll probably do that sometime. But it would be very similar to this one. The Fort Harrison location is good because it's usually far less crowded, and it has much more parking. The service there has always been very good. The craft beer selection is good. But it's the pizza. It's all about the pizza. I've had the Slaughterhouse Five and the Cheese Louise. They're outstanding. I've had the Lasagna Pizza, which is also very good. Yesterday I had a half Lazyboy (which is a supreme) and half Philly Jack (which is basically a cheesesteak pizza with peppers and stuff on it). It was superb, especially the Philly Jack part. Super fresh ingredients, a fair amount of cheese, a crust that's crispy without being hard or crumbly, and sauce that has a strong and wonderful taste from its spices. This location also has a patio, so that's a nice addition when the weather is nice, and I believe it's fine if you bring your dog. I'm almost always going to favor a locally owned, mom and pop restaurant over a chain. I do like Jet's Pizza and order from there occasionally because there's a store across the street from where I live. But if it was my choice, I'd go to Jockamo every time. One day I'll figure out how to pass up a chance at their pizza and instead order one of their sandwiches and a salad or something. I can't imagine that anything you get from there would be top-notch. read more

Unfortunately we did not enjoy the pizzas we bought to take home from Jockamo's pizza. The crust was not very tasty and for the price we paid the flavor should have been delicious. The kids did not like it and we ended up throwing away most of the pizza. Looks like we will be sticking with Donatos. read more

My daughter, the college girl, convinced me to try this place and so, like a good dad, she and I did together. They have a lot of options to choose from. You can build your own or try one of their 20 or so specialty pizzas. We started with the breadsticks which I have to say were eff-ing amazing. Definitely get the Parmesan sauce! That's why they get 3 stars. For pizza, we ordered a half Maui and half Thai 12 inch pie. The Maui was predictable and okay but not the slap me in the face greatness I was expecting. The Thai was a disappointment, however as the peanut sauce was like a peanut butter pizza. Neither of us cared for it. I suppose I should have agreed to try my daughter's favorite, the Farmhouse. But I couldn't go with chorizo and scrambled eggs on pizza. No way. Most of the specialties were like the Farmhouse in that they seemed a little too weird, but to each his own. They had many craft beers as well as a group of 5 or so standard beers. Wish they had some standard beers on tap. Alas, only craft beers I never heard of were on tap. Since none of their locations are close to me, I doubt if I'll be back. read more

I have two words: Thai Pizza. Heck yes! Try it and thank me later. Jackamo's is a must visit. They offer twists on the traditional and some truly unique flavors of pizza. Unfortunately, I've never been to the original location, but had a chance to visit this location twice. The interior is spacious with lots of natural light. The customer service is solid. They offer a variety of sandwiches, salads, etc but I'm all about the pizza. During my first visit I had the Slaughterhouse 5. This is basically an over the top version of a meat lover and it is AMAZEBALLS. During my second visit I wanted something lighter so split a Thai Pizza with my friend. Loved this pizza! The sauce was tad sweet with just enough heat. Fair amount of chicken. Hmmm, I'm drooling just writing about it. I would get this pizza again in a heartbeat. Do yourself a favor. Take a needed break from a pizza chain and check out this lock gem. You will never be the same after the first slice! read more

This is now the second time going to Jackamo and the service just gets worse each time. Everytime I try to custom order things on my pizza it comes out wrong. I loved starting with the health nut - extremely refreshing with a lot of crunch! veggies were very fresh. my creole pizza was good. it doesn't normally come with cheese but our waitress suggested adding mozzarella. unfortunately, there was too much cheese to where that was almost all I could taste, but it was very good mozzarella! food came out quickly and piping hot! the breadsticks are on the basic side but still good. the house-made Parmesan dipping sauce was unlike anything I've ever had before but overall pretty tasty. there is a busser who is constantly filling drinks, taking away dirty plates, grabbing whatever you might need, etc. this was a nice addition! overall very satisfied with the kind staff, quick service, food taste/temp and price (most small pizzas start at $10 and come with 6 slices - very filling even though the crust is very thin). read more

Dear Lord of Pizzas, Thank you for Jockamo's Best place ever for pizza. Why? Indecisiveness!!!!!! I love all pizzas and pizza doesnt really love me... but... you can get a half and half specialty pizza. So if you want half cuban and half thai they will do it!!!! How? I do not know, but they dont mesh together and I can have the best of both worlds. Their pizza is always good, very consistent. I have never been disappointed in all my years of living in Indianapolis. Another thing? The parmesan cheese dip that you can order with breadsticks. Order extra. Then order some with your pizza. Indy Pizza Week! What more can I say. Who gives up the opportunity to try out some delicious pizza on the cheaps? After already experiencing Burger Week, why not do it again. We ordered an appetizer of the breadsticks with nacho cheese. They come in orders of three, six, and ten. We opted for the three since we planned on getting two pizzas. The breadsticks were very good. For one of our pizzas, we ordered the Philly Jack. This hunky pizza made of Italian beef, green pepper, peppadew peppers, and pepperjack cheese will make your mouth water. For our second pizza, we ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, made up of homemade BBQ sauce, grilled-marinated chicken (or pulled pork if you so desire), red onion, green pepper, and Gouda cheese. Both pizzas were out of this world! Wash these beautiful pizzas down with some pints of craft beer and you'll be fat and happy for the rest of the night. read more

I've always considered Jockamo's the best pizza in Indy hands down, but had never been to any of the non-Irvington locations. Found the chance to rectify that for a late lunch on Super Bowl Sunday and I am happy to report that it does its name proud. The Fort Ben location is larger than the Irvington branch and makes up for what it loses in charm with a very clean, modern feeling interior. The most important thing is that the pizza is still fantastic. I had the Pomodoro (grilled eggplant, garlic, tomato, extra sauce) and it was as good as ever. Though they initially got my order incorrect, the staff was quick to fix it and they gave us the wrong pizza free of charge! The three other guys I was there with were new to Jockamo but each was also duly impressed with their pizzas -- I think we made a couple of converts. read more

Where do I start? It's a Saturday evening and we did expect a wait. This was ridiculous. We were seated in the bar and we were good so far. No menus were provided to us. The couple next to us were seated after us and had their order taken and received their food. Still we had not gotten taken care of. Dear server said to us "It's not my fault". Tasty pizza! After lunch rush meal with my son. Quick and and friendly service. The atmosphere is casual and warm. The music was excellent (old school soul and r&b mainly) Breadsticks were seasoned perfectly. I have been going to this Jacomo location ever since they opened and have always been pleased with their pizza. The last two visits have been disappointing. The pizza sauce has become so spicy that my wife and I cannot eat it. The waiter on our last visit told us that other customers have also complained about the sauce being too spicy. Either they have changed recipes, if it is home made, or they are buying prepared sauce from a different source. Either way I will not be coming back and will be looking for another pizza restaurant. read more

A great pizza place if you're vegetarian and looking for a variety in specialty pizza! We ordered the Jockamo special and So-Cal pizza's to go; they were delicious! We were doubtful about goat's cheese on the So-Cal pizza, that it would be overpowering; however, it had just the right amount to add flavor, but not steal the show. The only downside was that both pizzas seemed a tad dry; you had to have a drink on hand so your jaw didn't hurt from chewing. A hot tip may be to ask for extra sauce, either on the side or on the pizza. This place is a must visit if you're looking for creative options for pizza, whether you're an omnivore or herbivore! read more
