I'm pretty handy so didn't have to have an installer, but after calling Bob, he was able to come out with his books, show us all of the options, tell us why he used the brands he used and some pros and cons we had not considered. He was friendly and had a lot of good information. The quote we got was very competitive with the other vendors, and the installation fee was very fair. His estimate of the delivery date was spot on. He did give a bit of wiggle room, which is honest, and as we all know, there are things out of our control, so I liked him giving us a range of estimated time of delivery. Installation was quick and easy, he cleaned up well and everything looked great. We've lived with his recommendation now for a few months, and we could not be happier with both the product and the work. We would not hesitate to recommend him or to use him again in the future.

So we called Bob again at The Blind Guy, and once again have sparkling new blinds, with updated controls. Maybe we'll use him again in another 13 years! Faitell Attractions, opened during the pandemic, is a REVELATION…read more The only reason I stumbled across the store was my passion for coconut frozen yogurt, which Yogurtland currently sells (along with pistachio). Parking in a garage downtown for a frozen yogurt irks me so I rarely go. I passed this consignment and the moment I entered, my eyes grew big. It's mostly furniture---a mix of mid-century modern and other classic pieces--but also one of the best designer resales I've seen in the back. Every bench, piece of art, chair gorgeous. You just have to go in to appreciate the extraordinary taste of Lisa Faitell, who moved to SB from Westchester County (a tiny town my dear friend lives and I just spent three nights). It's a mother-daughter operation, which I love. They also do custom window treatments and you can arrange for delivery. In the hour I spent, a woman in Laurel Canyon bought a large bright aqua sectional couch. I love absolutely everything. Note: the clothing runs small. Best if you are a size 2, 4, or 6. I love that a New Yorker opened this store--in a pandemic no less. New Yorkers have grit and chutzpah, always rising to the challenge in the most fraught conditions. I bought a dress (48 dollars) and an incredible long sweater-jacket with pattern (50). Wearing the dress to the Granada Saturday, my first time since 2014 before I moved to the city. If you're downtown, you must go in. It's impossible not to come away with a treasure. I went in to look for plant stands and found an outdoor set for 50 they only sell as a pair. I might have to go get it, though I really only need one.

Our shade arrived in the weekend, when opened the package we saw that the charger cable was frayed, it is a fire hazard . I called the customer service right away, sending the picture of the wire, he told me that the battery assembly replacement would arrive in 5 days. Then I got a message asking about the picture again on Monday, sent another one, then another request for another picture, sent again. Then silence! I called the customer service asking about the status of the replacement, he said that their QC department needs to approve it. 4 days passed since we reported the defec, there is no news yet, I have paid $2500 for it, roll is sitting on the floor in my bedroom, i will be using internet stores for other rooms

However, when I had several more to have done, and it was a much bigger job, I asked about how much of a deposit I'd have to put down. I ended up calling other companies and found a company that asked for a 50percent deposit instead of paying the entire price up front.
