$12 box of fresh Carmel corn

Got a batch today from here and I remember this as a kid! Super generous portion and so glad they stuck it in a bag for the plane ride but it's a little burnt this batch. Still would come back but a little too toasted.

Best Carmel corn in portland hands down, been going there for years.I heard Lloyd center was closing down so I tried calling many times and no answer.I thought I would try one more time ,and a girl answered, I said I saw an article that you were closing by summer of 2022, she said she's never heard that rumor, she said we're not closing.

Sooooo delicious and addictive! The Oregon mix is everything and they are also on Uber eats. Best popcorn ever. The kool aid pickles are definitely something you should try at least once.

I love this little popcorn shop in the Lloyd Center. We don't have fresh popcorn shops in the UK and it makes me feel like I'm really on holiday when I visit. Now, Yelpers, listen close. I'm going to tell about something, which may sound strange but is in fact delicious. Chicago mix, which is an equal mix of cheese and carmel popcorn is a perfect blend of sweet and savoury. Try it. You'll thank me!

Alright so there's not much to add on this but it's the popcorn place inside of the mall. They do have some candy items but they have mostly popcorn. They have cheesy popcorn, Caramell corn, and regular popcorn. For each pampering they come in three different sizes but be careful because the specialty popcorn (cheesy and caramel) actually come in smaller boxes in the regular popcorn the only way I found that out was because I had gotten a box of caramel corn and I friend had gotten a box of regular popcorn in the boxes with different sizes and different prices. So obviously the specialty popcorn cost more and you get less when you think you're buying the same size. The popcorn itself so good. Let me repeat that so good. But I love popcorn, all popcorn. It's rare for me to meet a popcorn that I don't like. But I really didn't like about the place, it was that it looked really dirty. They had things hanging over the walls and they were all kind of faded, and really really dusty and dirty. The probably shouldn't have bought popcorn from there, but like I said I love popcorn.

The best cheesecorn you will find. Most others are way too salty, Joe Brown cheesecorn is perfect!

I hope the upcoming remodel of Lloyd Center won't raise the rents so high that the smaller businesses (Joe Brown's) get chased out.

Inside is bright, with sherbet colored green walls, lots of shelves and tables stocked with beautifully wrapped candy, gift assortments, boxes of chocolates, novelty candy, gummies, lollipop, and even candy from around the world, including a large variety of Asian candies. For those wanting just an individual piece of chocolate or wanting to create a custom purchase, the counter holds individual pieces of a variety of chocolates. They have all the usual suspects - truffles, salted chocolate caramels, chocolate with nuts, cream filled and more. It was October, so there was a section dedicated to fall colors and Halloween, with candy coming in black cat boxes, candy that resembles an eyeball, witch, ghost, and of course, candy corn. Never understood the appeal of candy corn, you either love it or avoid it, but it's definitely representative of the season. Candy here is priced high, so it's more like a treat or gift, not an everyday purchase. Personally, I think they would be more profitable if they had a broader price range so it could be the candy store you always purchase something from while at the mall.

The staff seemed extremely friendly and down-to-earth while having a lot of good suggestions on what would best fit our tastes. The shop itself has such cozy lighting and nice pastel paint, it's very welcoming and there's always something to look at.

Cherry cordials, pear cordials, apple cordials in chocolates. Caramel chocolates, chocolate caramels. Thing is it's hard for not to love the store because it has three of my favorite things: 1. chocolate: shelves and shelves of unique artisan chocolates made with skill and care from all over the world. 2. And salt -- am a VERY big fan of picking up local salts whenever one is traveling -- including actual blocks and blocks of Himalayan salt stacked. Not imitation but the real stuff. They even have fresh popcorn for you to taste the truffle salt with. 3. Lastly they have fresh cut flowers. It's like a florist and you can create your own bouquets. Beautiful specimens with structure and freshness. I have to say they also have bottles and bottles of bitters -- crafted bitters. King Floyd chief among them. The staff person was super helpful. She was kind and educational about many things.

I've purchased some of the Maldonado finishing salt, and it absolutely makes a difference. Never use these salts as an ingredient, it's used to sprinkle on meats, veggies, potatoes, right before serving. Awesome on chocolate cookies. They even sell small containers for salt, known as salt cellars, so you can keep your favorite salt in your purse in case your restaurant meal is lacking that little something extra. They refill for life, for the tiny ones only. I enjoy checking out this store when I'm in the area or when looking for a gift for one of my foodie friends. I'd buy more, but the prices are very high, especially the pasta and chocolate. I can't rationalize $12-15 for a chocolate bar that I'll eat in one sitting. Maybe I'm the problem, maybe one bar is supposed to last for many servings!
