I didn't feel rushed or felt like I was wasting his time. Oscar, was fantastic to work with. He listened to the issues at hand (hit and run on front bumper and someone tried to steal gas and broke hinge on my gas flap). He took pictures of my car and was able to provide me with a quote. The quote was fairly reasonable considering I was paying out of pocket for my repairs. I didn't have to waste my time with a rental, he ordered the parts and when they came in he called and I was able to schedule a time to drop it off. It took about a week, and they were even able to wash and deliver my car to my house. Would highly recommend.

Honestly, I can not make too fine of a point here. I do not just "go" where I'm told to go or "do" what someone else thinks is best for me. I spend REAL TIME deciding those choices for myself. I'm idealistic like that. What can I say? So when the lady behind the insurance phone line presumed to inform me that I should use someone THEY deemed "trustworthy"- she came flat up against this idealism. Jenn- "Oh. No worries. I already know EXACTLY where I'm going and they are beyond trustworthy." Pregnant pause. Insurance lady- "and who would that be?" Jenn- "Caliber Collision. The Boerne location. General manager, Rudy Keilman. Would you like his number? My truck is on it's way there as we speak." Insurance lady- "No ma'am. That will be fine. We know of Caliber Collision." Jenn- "The Boerne location?" Insurance lady- "Yes." Jenn- "Perfect! Thank you for subbing out your person for my person! Have a great day!" I come by this opinion honestly. We've used them several times for minor collision repair. They are courteous, professional, prompt and communicative. They are fair and honest and do not suffer a low ball quote from the insurance companies (and will store your vehicle for as long as it takes to work that fun process out! *sigh*) and will happily do this process knowing that they may not make a dime off the repair if it ends up being totaled. (As was the case for our last visit.) Rudy runs that shop like the well oiled machines he returns to loving customers. If you're like me and you don't just go anywhere--but may not know yet about collision repair-- trust Caliber Collision (the Boerne location.) You won't be disappointed.

It was clean except the sun roof had leaked water all over the front seats and floor board was sopping wet, and the driver side seat motor did not work. But the salesman said they would find out what the leak issue was, detail the interior and find the seat problem. So we went inside to make a deal. I made an offer and he took it back to the sales manager. They refused my deal and came back with a price $2800 over what they had listed on Auto Trader and tried to stick on another $990 for dealer accessories and a theft system. Should have walked the deal at that point. But I said I'm not gonna pay $2800 more than it was listed on Auto Trader. And I don't want your BS dealer accessories and theft system. And I made another offer. He counter offered and we settled on splitting the difference. He said put initials by that price and I'll get it written up. Then he came back with another proposal $250 higher than what price I had initialed. Second time I should have just walked the deal. But I renegotiated and paid the $250 higher than the price I had initialed. So we agreed to deliver the car on Saturday with the items fixed. Saturday, I sent a text "is the car ready"? Yes sir it is. So I arranged a friend to drop me off. Got to the dealership and texted sales guy "I'm here". He sends back, "they didn't fix the seat issue". He brought the car around and they had done a fair job on the water removal in the seats but the floor board was still saturated. At that point I asked about the seat not being fixed and he said "we are selling it as is"! Fine let's just close the deal so I can get out of here before I have a vein pop in my brain. So guess what, the finance guy hadn't shown up yet. Mind you this is 10:15 on a Saturday morning. He did finally show up at 10:30 and sat thru that painful process of buying a car for cash. So I got the car home, I have doors open and two fans running to dry out interior and at some point I will fix the seat so that it can be adjusted to a proper setting. All this taught me two things. Do not trust anything this sales person (Eric) says, and Never walk into Vic Vaughs Toyota of Boerne again.
