First time here. I was told after once being at Le Andos during a wait, to check Joe Jo's out for breakfast so I decided to go today... but for dinner. Super friendly staff. I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich. It was awesome and the chicken breast was wonderful. Fries were great too. I always appreciate good fries. My mom enjoyed her dinner, or breakfast, I should say - eggs, hash browns, French toast. The French toast was tasty too. The only reason for a missing star is because masks weren't required by guests and two guests sat two booths behind me coughing upon arrival, while not wearing a mask.

I've eaten breakfast and lunch here and it's a nice little family restaurant only a mile away from the hectic and busy Hall Rd. We're fortunate to have this neighborhood restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of that super busy thoroughfare. So many restaurants on Hall Rd. are packed or are so busy that it's sometimes difficult to get seating or find convenient parking. If you're looking for a nice, casual atmosphere, that doesn't have that hurried, hectic type of setting and service, then this restaurant foots the bill. It has an open feeling inside and it's well kept and clean. The menu offers a nice variety of good food and there's just the right amount of choices to satisfy any tastebuds and I must say, I've never had a meal I didn't like. The servers are friendly and efficient and are attentive to their customer's needs. It's always clean and neat and that means a lot to me when we choose where to spend our hard earned money.

The ambiance is inviting and intimate...the perfect spot for a date night or outing with friends. We skipped their famous pretzel bread and started off with the GF Thai Lettuce wraps as an appetizer which was delicious especially with the 3 different sauces they were served with. The peanut sauce was my favorite....rich, savory, and slightly sweet similar to a satay sauce. I had the Sangria wine flight and loved all the four flavors....tropical, fruity and sweet. For my entree i had the shrimp & scollop risotto and it was just ok. The shrimp and scallops were cooked and seared perfectly but the risotto tasted a little dry. I had the same dish at the Troy location and it was covered in a flavorful sauce and was not dry. I left most of it unfinished and chose not to tell the server about it, but was disappointed. Thank goodness for ordering an appetizer! My friend had the Dana's Parmesan Chicken and said it was exceptionally delicious. Our server gets an A+ for making sure we enjoyed our meal. He was attentive, made great recommendations and checked in with us throughout. However when I go to the Troy location, we are always offered to sample the featured wine of the month before ordering our drinks and wasn't here. I don't even know what the feature wine of March is because it wasn't even mentioned by our server. Overall, a lovely dinning experience but this wasn't the 5+ star rating the Troy location has in comparison.

Well, I'll raise you 1.2 for 5 stars for Host!! Ample street parking on a Wednesday morning in Utica (also public on south side), hubby & I walked past a few businesses and into Host and immediately somehow felt we'd been elevated! The ambience is edgy and elegant giving off an elite vibe matched by the informative attentive staff and everything that was set before us. The barista approached us immediately taking our latte orders from a versatile coffee menu, and our lovely waitress Bailey didn't miss a beat welcoming us, fielding questions and sharing the restaurant's cool concept of "Host"-ing new chefs bimonthly representing freshly-curated menus of palate delights. She later informed us of classes held on 2nd floor for making cocktails and sushi! While enjoying our lovely lattes, we quickly ordered veggie omelets with mushroom and bacon additions that were timely served and clearly plated with care. My husband noticed there were no salt & pepper shakers anywhere, signifying the chef's confidence in his dishes! And indeed our meals needed no help, as we savored each bite of perfectly cooked omelets bursting with flavor complimented by crisp sliced potatoes dressed in a lemon drizzle. Easily the best omelet I've had in my hometown, probably in my state! I made sure to compliment the chef through the open pass-through kitchen on our way out after lingering after our meals not wanting to rush out of this lovely place. What a beautiful start to the day; we can't wait to return with more family!! Thank you for "Host"-ing us!!

It's a little dark inside but the big front windows let light in. We chose the sit at the U shaped bar and met our bartender, Shelby. She was a lovely guide helping us newbies choose beers, wine, and food. It was happy hour which gave us a small discount on beers and the breadtzels. I sampled a few beers and started with an orange sangria. Was a little sweet for me. Went back to the watermelon lime cream ale which was better. Happy to learn none of their cream ales contain lactose. She recommended the breadtzels which were tasty. Even offered to remove the butter if I wanted. There wasn't much on the menu that was plant based so good thing I didn't come there to eat. Excited to come back and try more of their creations. Thanks for the friendly welcome and great service Shelby!

It's a bit outdated, kind of dark inside, and the tables are usually a little sticky. They also close off some tables later in the evening, even when it's not that busy, which can be confusing. Still, we keep coming back. The food and drinks are good, and the staff is kind. Just hoping they give the place a little refresh to match the good stuff coming out of the kitchen and taps.
