Came here after seeing it on Burros Bites. The establishment is clean and welcoming. I had the corn dog which was cooked to perfection and delicious! I have to say I love tater tots and these were no disappointment. My son had the chili dog and was very happy with it. The hot dog had a good "snap" when biting into it. We ended our visit with a custard concert.....DELICIOUS! I only gave 4 stars because I do think it is a little pricey. Not going to write too much as a lot has been said already here, but I will confirm all the great reviews are not a fluke. Been a regular here for a couple years now and haven't been disappointed yet. The hardest thing about coming here is deciding what to have. It looks like a hot dog place, but don't let that limit you as the whole menu has some stand out choices. The burgers could compete with In-N-Out, the chicken sandwiches are outstanding and there's a hot dog choice for anyone. But, after saying all that, my favorite thing is probably the Turkey Melt. It's a simple menu choice, but their version is just done perfectly. Not too heavy and done just right with the avocado, tomato and bacon. The only thing I'd say was pretty good and not absolutely great is the chili. It's fine, but not as consistently above and beyond as the rest of the menu. One last note; sure, it's fast food, but it's GOOD fast food. There's a noticeable care in the preparation and execution of everything I've had here. We finally tried Joe Schmoes ... A place looking to recapture that small town diner feel , serving signature dogs and burgers. We walked in and noticed the odd dining area layout, consisting of just barstool seating. There is another dining area , but it is outside somewhat. The second thing we noticed was the rather high price of their hot dogs but we figured they would be worth it . We ordered 1 chilidog , a Chicago dog and 2 corn dogs . And the bottom line is that they were ok....nothing to write home about. They could have been better with a little more effort . I think we will give them one more chance . The only complaint is their hotdogs still have this casing on it ... like do we eat it this way or do I peel the hotdog ?!?! read more

This establishment has gone down in quality to say the least. I remember when they first opened and the food being good. I would order their Cobb salads on some occasions and their chilli cheese hotdogs on others. More recently the food has been bland and basic. I went the other day and for sure that was the last straw. Customer service is subpar as always so not a huge shocker there. Customer service has never been anything to phone home about here but the food from my past visit... ugh the food! The fries were hard, cold, and tasteless. The hotdog was flavorless and the chilli was lacking love, even the cheese was lack luster. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because the dessert was decent. The restaurant itself is pretty cool and the music is good. Easy ordering counter with the menus right above. Well, my obvious first choice was the Chicago dog as I have a base to compare. I then wanted something on the opposite scale and got the Texas dog. Chicago dog: the bun wasn't a soft roll and not steamed like the originals. The dog itself had a nice crunch when you bite into it. The one thing that stood out was lack of celery salt. Other than that, it looked just like the original. Texas dog: same bun and same hot dog just dress differently. Basically a chilli cheese dog. Was ok. Maybe I'll try the LA dog everyone wrote about next time. read more

Forget Canes it's trash and a waste of time. If you like flavor you should be going here, but be careful because the mild is SPICY. The food came out without my burger the manager said my burger was on the way. 5 mins pass 10 min pass finally after waiting 15 mins for my burger I walk back in to get an update. The manager who is the niece of the owner you could she was very annoyed I got up to check on my order. While I was in there they had JUST started my order after 15 mins when most of the meal had gone out. The manager very rudely says I'll bring you the burger. Now mind you in the 15 mins waiting for my food people who ordered after me got their food much faster and correct. The burger finally comes out and I can already tell the burger is wrong AGAIN. She told me they made it wrong originally well they made it wrong twice. The manager was rude and disrespectful. Listen if you make the food wrong and yoh make the customer wait and then make it wrong again you don't get to be rude when I cancel my order. Do better read more
