Half of the job was in one wall and fixed by another plumbing company in the area and it cost $980. John D. came and fixed the same issue in another wall for $260. Excellent communication while on call for the weekend. Took a quick photo and he reviewed it to ensure that he could fix the leak. Outstanding service highly recommended. So the valves had to be replaced. John came out promptly after the weekend and replaced both supply (cold & hot) in about 30 mins (most the time was isolating water and draining not much you can rush there). Both are now good brass valves that are solid. Super happy with the workmanship and customer service. Will use John's services for any future work. 3/22/20 - future work happened. At 3:30pm today, we called John D for an urgent repair to a bathroom faucet feed valve that had failed and caused flooding. Within about an hour, he was on site. This was pretty amazing, considering it was late on a Friday. We were happy for his responsiveness. Not only that, he charged us his regular rate rather than charging any urgent service rates. Wow! Fantastic guy! I called this morning at 9.... on a Sunday, smack dab in the middle of Memorial Day weekend... with a burst pipe in my laundry room. DAMN. I am searching Yelp for an emergency plumber - and called this fellow. Someone actually answered the phone. He was at my house within the hour, and finished the job with in an hour and a half. Holy smokes! Leak fixed, and he was on his way. Price was completely fair and even with double time because of the day and holiday weekend I gladly paid it! The leak was tricky to find and access but John was diligent about trouble shooting the problem until he could find the least invasive solution to fix it. As he was fixing the problem he suggested and then implemented a solution that improved the overall design of the plumbing system. Now our house shutoff valve is more effective and easy to access. About seven years ago subcontractors replacing my toilet said I needed a new flange. (They broke the flange BTW.) I contacted John D and told him I needed a new flange. He asked me to send him a picture of the damage. Instead of charging me many thousands of dollars, and ripping up a roof to install a new flange, he said he could repair it. John D repaired the flange and installed the toilet. Since that time, my husband and I have used John to install additional toilets, sinks, outside outlets, replace faucets, etc. (My husband and I have been married 5 years so had our own individual houses that we updated, then bought a house together.) This guy is an absolute psychopath. We ended up calling the police and filing a police report after he started threatening my family when we asked him to leave our home. My husband informed me he was calling a local plumber so we could get a quote on replacing the pipes that were shaking in the wall. We informed our babysitter he'd be coming and I would swing by on my lunch break from the hospital. I was 10 minutes late and came home to some Russian guy screaming at me "$150! $150 you pay now!"...I could only assume the stranger screaming at me in my own home, never once telling me who he was, was actually the plumber based on the van he parked in our drive way (instead of on the road which have been the professional thing to do and not block our cars in our driveway). I calmly asked if he was the plumber and stated I don't know what he's referring to. Never once even said his name, just continued yelling so I asked him to Clarify and asked again are you the plumber? He calmed down for a split second, seemed completely oblivious that both of my babies, 2 years old and 4 months old, were screaming in their bedroom because he was yelling in our home and scaring them. I again asked him to call down and refer to what he was shouting about. Through his think accent I was able to decipher he decided upon himself that we needed to replace our really nice toilet and that he didn't want to deal with the hassle of ordering parts instead. When I said it was a new toilet and what would the cost difference would be for a new toilet versus new parts he said it would be a lot more. When I asked how much more to install he parts he said he didn't know because he couldnt figure out what brand the toilet was (huh?). He then explained that the rattling pipes could be anywhere and he would have to rip up all the walls to find the rattling ones. I told him it sounded like two separate issues and he agreed. So I asked him if he could write us up a quote to replace the toilet versus replacing the parts and that we'd consider our options. He said he didn't know the parts so I told him when my husband got home (which I later found out he started a shouting match with my husband demanding he pay him $150 for wasting his time at our house hence the irrational screaming at me to pay him $150) again the guy never once even said he was a plumber, no professional attire, no business card nothing. I felt incredibly uncomfortable the entire time and eventually convinced him to leave our house stating my husband would figure out the part names. He then to his car as I got in to my car to get back to the hospital. Then out of no where starts shouting "waste of my time! You pay me now! You're a waste of my time!!!" Demanding that I sign his invoice. when I asked "what's this for?" He continued to scream "wasting my time! Wasting my time!" When I calmly explained I would never say that to a patient of mine, that they were a waste of time. I then mentioned how unprofessional that was and I asked him to leave. He then in a very threatening manner crumbled the invoice and ripped up my Windshield wiper of my car as I was backing out of our driveway (did I mention it was down pouring as this psychopath went ballistic)...should I started shouting "get away from my car!" And continued to back out of the driveway. I proceeded to call my husband as he aggressively started charging towards my front door where my babysitter and two children were inside so I started screaming as loud as I could "get the fk' away from my house! Leave now we are calling the police" then I called our babysitter who raced to lock the door. We have never felt so scared in our lives: from the driveway I was shaking in my car looking at someone clearly off medication have a melt down screaming we owed him for wasting his time. Needless to say he saw me calling the police and our neighbors all coming out so he left. The police and I reviewed the security cams, confirming he had been there a total of 36 minutes when he was demanding for an hour of pay, unbelievable read more

Called the company to come investigate a shaking of pipes in our walls. After being in the house for about 30 minutes and said that a valve needed to be replaced in our toilet, that the toilet was very particular as the part would be, and that it would be cheaper if we replaced the toilet. He then indicated that it wouldn't completely solve the problem, that there were probably some pipes not strapped in the walls or crawl space, and that he wasn't going on a wild goose chase to find out where they are. I told him it sounded like I needed to investigate the pipes when the noise happened again to narrow down where it was, and get the toilet replaced if we decided to do so. For this 30 minutes of time he told me it would be $150 for his time, which I found steep, but agreed to pay if he sent me the invoice (I was out of town at the time.) THEN the real problems began. My wife had just arrived home from the hospital, and he began waving the invoice and nearly breaking off a windshield wiper to jam the invoice on our car, even though I gave no indication we wouldn't pay it. As a father and husband, it was terrifying to hear my wife call me and explain that we had a psycho at our house demanding $150, with our 2 daughters under 2 years old in the house. They had been sleeping, but were now awake screaming at the top of their lungs, and our caregiver was trying to calm them down, because he was walking around the house and in the front yard demanding $150 payment now for "wasting his time," when again, I gave no indication we weren't going to pay it. I am worried that he has a mental condition and knows where we live, so I filed a police report. read more
