Quiet, lots of space and a nice sushi bar. Nice vibe interior with creative lighting. MENU: simple enough, easy for any one to understand and a lot of options other than sushi. FOOD PREP: excellent, well done on every serving. FOOD QUALITY: very good for what it is. It is not overly expensive but the food is pretty good, fresh, and cuts of sashimi are more than acceptable. LIBATIONS: saki choices were great and fairly priced. WAITSTAFF: could not be any better, everyone at Joe's was on the same page and happy to be of service. This is long overdue. Love, love this place! My husband and I come here pretty often and always order spicy edamame, miso soup, plum wine, and the Cheh Cheh Roll (my favorite) along with other different rolls, as all are delicious. The Good News: Service was AWESOME! Gilbert was professional, had a great attitude and very polite. The Fresh Water Eel sushi was very good and flavorful. The NOT SO GOOD NEWS: The Poke Tower. It was more like a Seaweed Salad that was topped with some Poke. The seasoning of the dressing was good but it did not have the other fish that is listed on the menu, the salmon and albacore were non existent, the only fish in this dish was the tuna, and for the price of $21.99 . . . it was not worth it. The Yellow Tail Hamachi sushi tasted very water logged. It tasted like it was old and had been defrosted too many times. The wasabi was hard; it did not have that soft consistency, it seemed like it was prepared days ago and left out to dry. Lastly, please fix the toilet handle in the women's restroom. Our experience was so so. The 1st thing I ordered off the menu the server told me they don't serve that here. Two out the next three things I ordered the server came back to tell me they didn't have it. What I did end up ordering was only fair. Love that Joe's sushi finally has a spot open in the eastern Coachella valley. The food is always delicious and fresh. Service is outstanding. My only complaint is that they always run out of plum wine. Family favorites are the ecstasy roll, chino roll, sushi sashimi combo and the spicy edamame. read more

We've been going there for almost a year because we enjoy the service of people it's close to home the food that has been consistently good until tonight. My stepfather was at the hospital at Eisenhower he was coming home my mom dropped him off here at the house went over and got the food I had specifically ordered mild cuz I have a stomach issue so does my mother anyway. I repeatedly said mild and initially the young lady I spoke with on the phone would not help me and said well that's too bad basically. Then she acknowledged that she ordered mild and basically put you know through the kitchen under the bus and said it was their fault. But still would not acknowledge that they maybe had a park to play that something had occurred most of the time when people don't aren't satisfied with their meal they simply want to be validated and this woman did everything from father accusing me of line about what I ordered to admitting what I ordered to telling me too bad you waited too long. Where do I start? 1st no plum wine, 2nd no saba or mackeral, 3rd screwed up two orders by not adding the quail egg to the uni and tilapia sushi, she said she would ask the cook, screwed up again, 4th the sashimi was not cold, could have been more fresh, 5th soft shell crab not crunchy, more soggy. The two stars are for the hard working waitress busting her ass on a Sunday by herself but couldn't really understand English, I'm sorry but this was the worst experience in a sushi bar. Joes sushi was pretty good honestly I enjoyed it, I went with my family and order the chicken yakisoba since I do not consume seafood, the plate came with everything I expected. The cabbage was nice and crunchy yet I did expect a bit more flavor. The service was amazing the lady was really kind which I do appreciate since some can be a bit rude in other restaurants. I want to start off I have been going to the Bermuda dunes location forever and loved it. I celebrated my birthday here, and I want to say the food, I love their twist on the flavors. The Horacio roll is my favorite it's super tangy, little kick of spice and just so fresh. The portions are good not too much rice and plenty of fish! The sauces they add to their rolls are so good and flavorful. The service was really good, the waiter was consistent and nice. The owner cares about his business and it shows, the staff accommodated us, gave us space, responded to us quickly on social media and overall the process was super easy to make a reservation. They also brought us a very sweet treat to celebrate! The decor here was very nice I loved the ambiance. 10/10 rating. I will continue to recommend this place to everyone!
