Things were a little hectic for her, she was by herself and someone had quit that morning, but she had the keys for me in just a couple of minutes and told me exactly how much gas to buy before returning it so that I would have the same amount of gas in the tank at return. After a quick and easy volley of emails and one or two telephone calls I made an appointment to meet With Alexis. It's great when you get what you want for a price that you believe is reasonable. There were no gimmicks or hidden surprises. Alexis made it easy. So, thank you Alexis and thank you White River Toyota. I got a great vehicle for a great price and the time between my initial visit and when I drove the vehicle off the lot was minimal. I basically purchased my vehicle on a hand-held device!

They broke my door on my driver side when that wasn't even in the same area as the thing they were fixing. Instead of admitting wrong, or even trying to upsell a new blower motor they just put it back together broken and gave it to me. I've noticed a lot of people in reviews saying their service department sucks, that's a major understatement. Unsure what's going on with this service department but I'm taking my fleet of 10 Toyotas elsewhere to get worked on. Will not be returning. The restrooms are unlike any campground bathrooms you have ever seen. Beautiful mirrors and vanity shelves with amazing soaps. The showers are just off the restrooms and each shower stall has its own changing area and private entrance. My boyfriend spent time talking with the owners and it appears they may be converting an old ship into a home away from home. It's gorgeous. I absolutely cannot wait to return and see how things have progressed for them as they were just weeks into ownership when we visited. I highly recommend this location.

The owners were friendly when we arrived, and we were looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately, our experience changed after we checked in. We were assigned a site in the seasonal section of the campground. While some seasonal campers were friendly at first, the atmosphere quickly felt cliquish, and we never felt truly welcome as short-term guests. The owner frequently drove or walked through the campground checking campsites while openly carrying a firearm. While that may be his personal choice, it made us feel uncomfortable. We also received complaints from neighboring seasonal campers over what we felt were very minor issues, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy our vacation. One of the campground's biggest attractions, the river, wasn't usable during our stay because the water level was too low. The pool was clean but fairly basic. Overall, the campground has a beautiful location and plenty of potential, but the atmosphere overshadowed those positives. We left with the impression that transient campers are not made to feel as welcome but the same feeling for new seasonal campers. Based on our experience, we would not return or recommend this campground to others looking for a relaxing and welcoming camping experience.

A BASEMENT IS NOT THE FIRST FLOOR!! I kept jamming my foot on this plastic piece under the leg of the bed. When I asked the manager, Ann? She casually said "oh those are bed bug cups, & she added that's the way of the world!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? The heat did not work only partly, and if there had been a fire? I could not of gotten out! I do not believe their very steep stairs are even up to code!!!! AND I CANNOT CLIMB STAIRS!!!! IN front of each bedroom door? They built up wooden blocks so the door might keep a draft out??? IT LOOKED LIKE A THREE YESR OLD TRIED TO BUILD BLOCKS AND DADDY HELPED WITH THE NAILING OF THAT MESS!! YOU COULD NOT KEEP YOUR BELONGINGS SAFE BECAUSE THE DOORS DID NOT LOCK IF YOU LEFT!!!!!I have to continue to heal from my surgery, BUT I AM NOT DONE RINGING THE ALARM. I called the police to ask, were me and my friend in a homeless shelter?? A drug recovery house. We were both afraid to fall asleep. It was simply GROSS! They mislead people. Enough times to know who is just "renting a car" and who is going out of their way to not just rent you a car, but help your trip be as painless as possible. Well that's what NCAR provided. First, they picked us all up at the Dartmouth bus stop. Delivered us to our car, sent us on our way quickly and oh yea, drop off? Oh just park it at the bus stop - we'll get it later. Brilliance. Even so, I'm not sure it would have made a big difference since you don't really get a clear view of the gorge unless you lean over a not-so-cute metal fence, and there are no photo opportunities if you want you and the gorge in the same pic. It really feels like there should be a trail or viewing area closer to the gorge itself. The visitor center is small but cute, with a little museum and a small gift shop, which was nice to briefly check out. Overall, I'd say it's not really worth the stop if you already have a packed itinerary. If you do go, the best approach is honestly just to walk across the bridge quickly and take a look from there, but I'd skip the trail. I am glad it's on protected land though and that it is being maintained so well. It just is an odd spot to have such large hype.
