Do you know those french fries were $11 for two of them, ridiculous, they were spicy, definitely not crispy. My BLT was not even fit to eat, it was so wet. Completely fell apart. I decided to give this place another try cause I live very close and I have friends that said it was so good now. . wow they are so much better now . we got a cheeseburger pizza and it was delicious. crust was brick oven and it was delicious. and amazing flavor. Without fail, they print my ticket only when I walk in the door, meaning my order hasn't even started until I get there. If you want to eat Joey O's, do yourself a favor and dine in. The food might be good, but their takeout system is an absolute nightmare. If you have guests or hungry people waiting at home, do NOT rely on this place to have your order ready. Beware of ordering on their website-call in your order. I ordered $176 worth of pizzas at 5:30pm. Opted for free delivery, which estimated 7pm delivery. After 3 follow-up phone calls we ended up picking up our pizzas at 8:45pm. Spoke to 3 different employees each time and they each said our order was "out for delivery"...obviously there is something wrong with their online ordering and they never made our pizzas until I told them we were coming to get them ourselves before they closed! I understand they get busy and backed up, but be honest with your customers. It doesn't pay to lie! Also, I asked for a refund for the delivery driver's tip ( which had to paid upfront) and was told it would be refunded, but yet to see a credit on my card! I'm a DoorDasher and something odd happened tonight. I went to pick up 2 orders from their restaurant. A young man came up and asked who I was there for. I said their names and showed him my iPhone. He asked if he could take my iPhone. I said sure as thought maybe he couldn't see the names. I assumed he'd hand it right back to me. He walked away with my unlocked iPhone and put it in a spot where I could see it. He took his time finding orders that were already done. Minutes later he came back with one order but not my iPhone. He brings the second order to me but still has my phone. At that point I said, "Can I get my iPhone back?" He said, "Sorry, I didn't meant to steal it from you." Very weird. No place has ever asked to take my iPhone and walked off with it. I get my orders and naturally I'm concerned. The first thing I do when I get to my car is check my bank account and when I hit the app it said, "Sorry were having trouble logging you in." I hadn't attempted a login to that app. I tried to reach out to the owner but there is no email. The phone line after hours goes to voicemail. Never picking up there again. read more

We read the reviews and were apprehensive. I'm so glad we stopped in. Food was fantastic!! Pizza was crispy and full of flavor. Service and person that took our order was welcoming and very polite. Loved the robot experience that delivered the food. We ordered take out after eating in and again perfect service, pizza and meatballs and sauce were delicious. Salad was big and very good. There are no shortages of pizza places at the beach so one might think competition is fierce. Unfortunately there are quite a few mediocre places that become run of the mill. I'm not sure why Joey O's doesn't rate higher. I think is one of the good ones. Reading reviews it seems like Services where they have their downfall. Fortunately I didn't experience for Service. In fact just the opposite everybody. I spoke with was friendly and polite and seemed eager to please. The pizza is actually pretty darn good. it's just the right chewing in the crust and it tastes homemade The sauce taste fresh and they don't skimp on their ingredients. The ambience is unassuming for a strip mall location. Overall, a good experience at a reasonable cost, well reasonable for the beach pizzas will cost to $18-$20 just like everywhere else. Located in a strip mall, they are pretty easy to find. They are listed in the marque along the road and their sign is large enough to notice easily. Parking is plentiful, although all is across a traffic lane. I didn't specifically notice handicapped parking, but that's not on the restaurant. Walking in on a Saturday evening, there were only two tables of diners. It seems like take out is the main business. We were greeted quickly on entering and viewed the menu while the hostess waited for us to decide what we wanted. We were told it would be a 10 minute wait, so we walked around the strip mall to pass the time. We got back about 10 minutes later and noticed two people there before us were still waiting for their pickup orders. We finally received our food after a total of 25 minutes. The overall wasn't bad, but it would have been nice if the correct wait time was provided at the beginning. The drive home was less than 10 minutes. The penne carbonara was only lukewarm when opened. The cheese sauce was very liquidy and the entire dish was bland with little seasoning. The prosciutto was rather fatty, but otherwise tasted fine. I had also asked for garlic knots but received regular bread, without anything added. Normally, this would have been a two or three star review but after eating half the entree, I found a long hair in the pasta. After that, my appetite disappeared and the remaining portion was thrown away. read more

Gave it a second chance, but never again. Pizza is very doughy (thick & chewy). Definitely not a 'thin crust' style. Toppings were sparse on the pizzas, and on at least 1 pizza on each occasion we ordered from them, the toppings were burnt (charred/black) to the point we had to pick much of it off. Service is unreliable and misleading. Both times we ordered ahead through their website, and the Slice app that they use said our order was ready, but when we got there (:10-:15 mins AFTER their app said the order was ready) found out they had NOT even started cooking our pizzas. An additional :30 - 1 hour wait at the restaurant! I understand restaurants can get very busy with summer season, but why report to the customer that their order was ready, when not even started??? We'll patronize other restaurants from now on. We don't want to eat 1.5 hours later than we planned to. read more

After running errands, I noticed an interesting pizzeria on my way home. It was obviously a locally owned business....my favorite! I walked in and noticed they had an ipad set up. I could check the menu, order and pay. Boom! Done! A nice gentleman asked me if I was ok or needed his help. I was good. Business was hopping, with those dining in and picking up. A good sign! The gentleman brought out this HUGE pizza box and it smelled divine! Now, I had to drive home before I could try this yummy pizza. It was an actual pie, with a top crust. Your experience will probably be influenced by how busy they are. The pizza is good and actually cooked in an oven. The ambience is typical casual pizza joint with a full bar. They definitely have good prices on all sorts of other offerings and daily specials. If they start to get behind, the tension can go up both ways, but we've never had bad experiences eating in or take-out. Holy Toledo, this place was amazing. There were a lot of negative reviews but this place blew those out of the water. We got a pizza, calzone, and garlic bread. The pizza, wow. So big and so damn good. We could have just had that and been full. Theeen the calzone... amazing. It was HUGE and very very good. I eat a lot, and was only able to eat two pieces of pizza and 1 slice of calzone. I can't believe how much good this place was.
