Fantastic cheesesteak! Best I've had in years. The sesame-seeded roll is incredible and having Cooper Sharp as a cheese option made it a slam dunk. We orders 1 large pizza extra cheese, the pizza was awful... domino's is better then here! They don't have a menu online ... We didn't even get extra cheese like we ordered on our pizza, and the sauce was horrible as was the pizza . We also ordered wings and an antipasto salad.. the wings were so dry, no sauce on the wings at all! They only offer breaded wings, which were SO salty that we could not even eat them... and the antipasto salad, an Italian favorite, was awful, I could find a better antipasto salad in the dumpster behind giant.. I have never been so disappointed and humiliated bringing home food to my family.. we tried their cheese steaks a few weeks prior and they use a cheap no flavor whiz cheese that has absolutely NO taste.. everything in this place is inedible. Will not be coming back! I figured to give them a second chance after the rude treatment I received when picking up my food and ordering.. but the food is definitely not worth it. Joeys new menu makes it the best option in the area for a sandwich and their Pizza is great too. Cheesesteaks are the highest end you can find. Italian Hoagie is excellen, they use Lissios rolls and sharp provolone. I am a serious sandwich fan and Joeys has no competition in the area! highly recommend. read more

This is going to be a rather short review. Firstly, they have takeout beer. Due to this, they win. Secondly, they have the very best Sicilian pizza in the region. Get it. It will make you happy. They are a no frills dive joint that has an extensive menu of hoagies, calzones, soups and salads, appetizers, burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, deserts, beers, cheesestakes, (C'mon it's Philly, PA, what did you expect??) oh, yeah, they have pizza too. The realization I just had about Joey's Pizza is that although pizza is in the title, I have never had their pizza. I have always enjoyed a cheesesteak. Their Pepperoni Pizza Steak is basically the best thing on the planet. The service is always friendly and quick. This is considered a "B Level" stop for me meaning that 1 out of every 2 visits to Philly I definitely build it into my plans to stop here. read more

I've tried a ton of local pizza joints since moving to West Chester six years ago. Most of them tend to serve up mediocre pizza. But Joey's in Thorndale makes some awesome pizza. I like to think that they are the closest thing locally that tastes similar to Lorenzo's in Philly. Their pizza sauce is slightly sweet and absolutely makes their pies taste amazing. Came here by chance on an errand in the area, can only speak about the chicken cheesesteak we split, and that earned five stars. Best I've had in I don't know when. They use real fresh mushrooms so we added them and had on the seeded roll, with ketchup and fried onions. I've waited to type this review as I wanted to try a few things from their menu. I have tried the Sicilian with pepperoni, the house special (no anchovies), wings, and their cheesesteak with wiz, onions, and mushrooms. These were all separate orders and the orders were correct and made within a decent time frame. The pizzas are very good and so are the cheesesteaks. Extra bonus that they have take out beer and malt liquor. Not sure with some of the reviews I have read as the people I have spoken with at this location that have taken my order spoke English. This is easily located off on rt 30, great location. I order the chicken cheese steak and wings. The cheese steak was great, well cooked and cheesy. The wings weren't what I expected, they were breaded wings. The breading on he wings didn't really have a flavor, in my opinion I think they should have listed that the wings were breaded.
