I've been here a few times... We found it by accident a few years back and when we think about it, we'll take the kids and head on over. I've pretty much always gotten the wings...which are big, tasty and cooked just right. I've had some of the food left over by the kids, chicken fingers, fries, hot dogs...all very good. Good Burgers, but I pretty much stick with the wings. Love the Garlic and the Hot...but their BBQ is pretty good as well. Finally had a chance to try one of their hot dogs "Bigger than your head". And it was. It was the biggest hot dog I've ever seen. The whole thing was the size of a large grinder - it was HUGE! Really good, too. One of the best hot dogs I've ever had. It cost $4.95, if you were wondering. read more

This place is a little bit of a trek from the office, so I have only been back a couple of times since I moved out of Franklin. I must say I kind of miss living near this place! It was a nice change in pace from the usual take-out scene. The wings are very yummy if you get enough sauce on them. I think it's important to emphasize that because I must say they're pretty inconsistent with their sauce portions. A couple of visits ago, my wings were smothered in a very yummy medium buffalo sauce and I had a finger lickin' good time! This past visit, there was barely enough sauce to coat my wings and certainly none to spare for re-dipping. This made me quite sad. Luckily, my friend had gotten a partial order of buffalo wings with enough sauce to slather a full portion with... so I stole some of hers and I was happy again. Next time, I will likely ask for extra sauce. The pulled pork sandwiches are phenomenal! The sweet potato fries are among the best I've had... fried to a perfect level of crispiness and perfectly salted. We had an order of those and chili cheese fries, and much to my surprise the sweet potato fries disappeared long before the chili cheese fries! If they would just get on top of their sauce portion game, I'd quickly bump them up to 4 stars. If anyone from Joff's reads this: stock up on the paper towels and slather those wings! There is no such thing as too much wing sauce! read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. Food took a while to cook and, as another reviewer said, the pulled pork sandwich was good, but it didn't have that wow factor... however the food in general was pretty tasty. The fries especially were very good. The decor was tacky and cute, complete with picnic tables and sky decals over the ceilings lights (for that "outdoorsy" feel). My only really BIG problem with this place is the look of the kitchen from the dining room. The place just looks filthy. One of the walls looks like it is coated in grease/yellow "stuff". There's also a couple of ceiling tiles that have some serious water damage. One even looks like it had BLACK mold festering just above the pick-up area... the thought of such an unclean kitchen is cause for anyone to be wary about what they're putting in their bellies. I think they need a scrub down and quick! read more

We got some take out from here and it was so so good! Pulled pork is spectacular, fresh fluffy rolls and melt in your mouth flavor! Poutine fries are delicious and the plain fries are equally as delicious! Definitely recommend this place for a BBQ craving! read more

I went on 6/30 to pick up a burger and sides to split with a friend and $19 worth of food (burger, fries, small onion rings, tip) was inedible and 90% went to my dogs. I've only been twice prior and had a semi decent experience here before-always giving benefit of the doubt so sent a private email to Joff's regarding the horrible food I received-fries that I'm fairly certain were potato ends and reheated, over cooked rings, and a burger so heavily salted one would wonder how old the meat actually was. I emailed late 6/30 because it was a waste of almost $20-but I wanted to do it privately, not on a public forum such as Yelp. I wanted to let the owner know that I didn't want anything but he needed to do something about quality control- It's 7/5-no reply. Clearly, he doesn't care, this food was shamefully disgusting, and he either needs to raise prices, step up, close, or hide the salt. It's that bad. read more

Joffs BBQ is amazing! I recently moved to the area and tried Joff's randomly one night and was pleasantly surprised. The wings are great and you can't go wrong with the BBQ backyard burger! This place started off with a bang. Great food, friendly owner. Over time, however, the prices began to climb and the quality went down a little. The two stars is for the staff. On slower nights there may be only one person working. When you'd call for delivery he'd tell you he wasn't going to deliver to you. Either you deliver or you don't. Once it devolved to the point of having our "same order several times a month" start getting screwed up, or the delivery making it to our house 45mins later than told and ice cold, we stopped going here. read more

This is one of our favorite local places, and we've been regular visitors there since it opened. They have a variety of dishes, including chili, ribs, and chicken wings; they serve up good portions at very reasonable prices. There's seating on site - picnic tables for the "back yard" experience - or you can take food to go (we live right around the corner, so we usually take it home). This is a local business, and beats most take out food in the area hands down. read more

All of our meals were good. Buffalo chicken sandwich, chicken fingers, chicken Caesar salad & a burger salad. 3 of the 4 at the table liked the fries, 1 thought they were a bit over cooked. Buffalo sauce had good flavor. Clean but floors were a bit sticky. The employees were super helpful and very friendly. Had a few people follow up with us to make sure All was good. I threw a large backyard party for my husbands 60th birthday and just did not have the time to make ribs from scratch, so I ordered from Joff's Backyard Grill in Bellingham. Stopped in because I was not sure how many to order. The gentlem was very helpful & suggested two buckets, for a total of 72 ribs. They were the hit of our party. We had an amazing amount of great food, but everyone was talking about the ribs! There were no leftovers from 2 buckets & numerous people wanted to know where I got them, including our friends from Rhode Island. I love Joff's, staff is great, food is delicious, I love the picnic style theme with the benches and tables with lawn chairs. Tried the cornbread for the first time the other day, absolutely delicious, a few of my friends used to work there back when we were in high school and they told me that they make all the sauces there, and it shows they are delicious. My ex-fiancé has a gluten allergy, and although I don't believe they advertise it as such she could always eat the wings as long as they are not fried, and she loved them and was thrilled when she found out she could eat there. Cant recommend this place enough. Update 10/2/2016: Went there yesterday, only complaint is they got rid of the loaded grilled Italian sausage, it was my favorite thing on the menu. Went with the Joffs double juicy burger (I don't think it's actually on the menu, but they still make it) it's still one of my favorite places in town. read more

Awesome food. Saw them on Phantom Gourmet a couple years ago and tried it out. The only complaints I would have is they seem to be understaffed, and the inside of the restaurant is always smoky and seems a little outdated. On a good note though, the pulled pork is awesome. I like Joff's, especially the Mediterranean Chicken Salad. It's got great flavor, and a variety of toppings that make it exciting like feta, tomatoes, suntan peppers, and cucumber. The sundried tomato dressing that comes with it is awesome. Of course their wings and burgers are great too, it's what they're known for. Nice casual atmosphere, great for lunch. read more

Here we go. My son got married 7/8. We wanted to give him the rehearsal dinner he wanted. 50+ people. He wanted BBQ. I have been going to Joff's for a couple years for parties, etc. Never had them cater before. From beginning to end, they made suggestions, and nailed it. I mean timing, quantities, food choices, and everything in between. And I am not a low maintenance guy. This is my boys' wedding. So now to the food. This is a passionate place. Family run. This is not KFC!!! The food is fantastic. The atmosphere for sit down is laid back. The wings are the best. Try the fire roasted. It took them awhile to sell me on trying them. They are now my favorite. When they showed up, they had extra items that they thought might add to the event. And they did not charge me an extra penny!!! The food made the event. The ribs were tasty, fall off the bone perfect. Finally, the owner has pride in every morsel he serves. I will be back, soon!!! I stopped by Joff's, which is a little hole-in-the-wall BBQ place, tonight for dinner. The meal was very good. I had the 1/2 rack of ribs plate which included cole slaw, corn bread and extra BBQ sauce. At 6:30 the 7 ribs were moist with a nice bark, had plenty of meat and the sauce was tasty, not thick, not to thin with a bit of sweetness. The cole slaw was homemade with a good balance of mayo and vinegar. The corn bread was corn bread.....wrapped in tin foil but not dry or stale. read more

This is my second time coming to this little BBQ place and each time the staff is always very friendly and personable. I eat out a lot because I am always on the road for work and that's how I came across this place. I like Joff's. Bellingham and the surrounding area has some of the worst food suburban Massachusetts has to offer. If I hadn't been forced to try Joff's one day, I would have just written it off as a generic pseudo-BBQ joint. But it's actually good. I'm a big fan of their burgers. These things are huge. Tonight I got the Canadian Banquet burger (Canadian bacon, sauteed onions, and cheddar). Excellent choice. We also got Ranch House fries, which were pretty awesome. Their fries are good all on their own, and obviously adding bacon and cheese to something can only improve it. Definitely recommend giving it a shot. read more

Stopped by Joff's because I drove by it and it looked appealing. I like how the decor was themed to be like a backyard, with lawn chairs, outdoor garbage bins and picnic tables all inside. I got the bbq chicken sandwich which was good, pretty standard, nothing spectacular but good. I also got chili which was amazing. It was sweet with just a subtle spice that was a perfect balance. I'd come back just to enjoy the chili and try some ribs that sounded amazing. I think this place could use another tv though, plenty of people dining in and only a small on atop a fridge. The burgers here are fantastic. The patties are thick and perfectly seasoned, they put some kind of tasty dressing on the bun and they have a different burger for every taste. I like to take people here who have never tried it, they are consistently amazed. They have delicious sweet potato fries and the "ranch house" fries with melted cheddar, bacon and ranch dressing for dipping are wonderful. read more

I dont know what all the buzz was about. I was really disappointed. I got a BBQ chicken sandwich and the roll was stale. My wife got a Buffalo chicken sandwich and it had almost no sauce. Who really goes cheap on sauce? The fries werent bad. You could tell younger cooks were working there because the place was empty and it still took 20 minutes to get some short-order food out. Overall, I paid 26 dollars. I wish I had something better to say about a local business, but this one really fell flat. read more

Joffs has great BBQ. Can't deny that.. But they are not too consistent. Every so often the fries will be soggy, the ribs will disappoint and the bottom burger bun will be dripping in juices. Cooking the burger to order is also not always on point. But these things are just sometimes, which is why I only allotted 4 stars rather than 5. They have great chicken fingers, wraps, wings, burgers and salads. The ribs and steak are pricey. They have a great variety of wing sauces including 4 different buffalo flavors, BBQ, honey garlic and more. My favorite is to mix BBQ or honey garlic with hot buffalo! Cornbread is out of this word good! Joffs is a great place to pop in for lunch on a slow afternoon, but some nights can get busy and take a while for takeout orders. The inside could use a re-vamp, it is sort of dirty looking, with old pick nick tables to sit at. read more
