Tried the "Good For Your Bum" rib combo. 1/2 a rack of ribs, coleslaw, cornbread and a side of chili. The ribs were great, smokey, tender with a nice burn coat. My only issue was the chili, I love hot and spicy chili but my definition of spicy is not over doing the cumin and chilly powder. That's all you taste when you eat it. This is some of the best BBQ around. The ribs fall off the bone. The cornbread is moist and has real corn. It is the best cornbread I have ever had. First time visit and I we got steak tips, mashed, brisket, StL ribs, mac n cheese and cornbread. The brisket was simply amazing and I will give them that with no issues. The StL ribs were ok (I'm from StL) and they didn't even compare to my moms home cooked ribs. The cornbread had a little twist in which it was cinnamon sugar topped and came with honey butter and it was amazing. I wished the butter want still hard though because I could spread it on the cornbread which was served room temperature. The steak tips were not cooked right and didn't taste really good. The BBQ sauces were ok and I've had better and that would be main reason for 4 stars. Regardless I would go again without hesitation and order mac n cheese as a full meal with some type of meat topping. read more

Kinda hit or miss. The food is bbq so the place is smokey and could use a little more cleaning ... tables are sticky. Food is acceptable.. not there fault I am too cheap to branch out past the as-big-as-your-head hotdogs. We always get the sweet potato fries because they are wicked good. My son says pulled pork is not fantastic but not the worst...not real saucy Once we waited 45 mins while everyone else got there food. Not sure what happened there. We didn't go back for years. I really wanted to like this restaurant. There are so few good BBQ restaurants around, and after ordering dinner there Friday, Joff's will not be claiming that title anytime soon. The prices are on the higher side but if it's good BBQ it's worth it. Unfortunately the food here just isn't worth it. There is no care in quality or even presentation, one of the items ordered, a chicken wrap sandwich was drenched in water like liquid, so much so that we opened the foil wrapper and poured almost 6 ounces of liquid out into a measuring cup! That's almost enough to make it a bowl of soup! The wrap was Completely soaked and not even edible. The rest of the items in the order were also poorly prepared, not as requested or just plain shouldn't have been served to begin with, (frozen remade onion rings overcooked and burnt). Almost $80 for a meal that was simply thrown away. Next time I'll spend another 15 minutes and drive to Commonwealth BBQ in Wrentham for the best BBQ I've found in the area. read more

Ordered wings before the game today Bucket of Wings with half hot half garlic honey fire roasted. These are the best wings around. The dry rub and grill flavor was very well done, they sauced them up perfectly, and the chicken tasted fresh with a good amount of meat on them, not like the frozen kind that have a weird taste. We love Joffs! We've been ordering here for almost 3 years. My go-to is the Grilled Ranch-House Chicken Sandwich, and The Chili Cheese Fries! The Chicken Sandwich is huge!! My Boyfriend loves the Chicken Wings, and Ribs, and my Daughter is obsessed with the Ribs, and Chili Cheese Fries! The prices are very reasonable, and the food is always Amazing! Been eating here since they first opened I think about 15 years ago, i love it, nothing has changed too much other than prices. I do wish they still had the sausages though those were the best. Burgers tend to run on the greasier side so the bun doesn't last but if you flip it upside down the top bun will last longer because it's thicker. I do also wish they had online ordering, I just hate talking on the phone because of my hearing loss, but overall, Joffs is a fantastic establishment and I'm glad they've lasted. read more

I tried Joff's for the first time a couple of days ago (9/13/10). Frankly I was very disappointed with the quality of the food there. I ordered eight "hot" wings with the half slab meal. I also purchased a pint of their pulled pork. Once I get back home and opened the wings there were eight dried up wings on the box with a spattering of what looked like Red Hot tabasco sauce on them. A couple of bites confirmed that. Aweful. Overcooked and dry. I am glad that it was a small order. The ribs followed suit. Dry and bland and the cornbread was a tiny two inch by two inch square which tasted like a plain piece of bread. No flavor and dry. Their menu touts that the it comes with extra sauce but they give you this tiny cup with barely enough for two ribs. The pulled pork was ok but I found myself pulling grissle out of the meat. I just don't understand why the owners of these places hire people that really have no food preparation experience. My first impression before ordering my takeout was the lack of any supervisor on any aspect with the restaurant. The hostess taking the orders was busy talking with her friends while patrons orders sat at the prep window for a least ten minutes getting cold. There were three couples seated waiting for their order and the cooks worked without any due diligence to get the orders out quickly. I waited for at least fifteen minutes for my order and my food was dry. The place looked like it really needed a good cleaning. The walls were dingy and there was grease covered dust along the ceilings in the dining area. If you live in the Metrowest area and receive one of their sale fliers don't be fooled for the pictures. What I got was the Pulled Pork sandwich, a side of Cornbread, and a small fries. First, I thought the sandwich was going to be the average size of your normal bulkie type rolls, but this sandwich was very large. It certainly filled me up (tasted wonderful, just like they make in the south) and I couldn't finish the fries, but I wanted to. I thought it was interesting how they cooked the fries as they were much darker than your typical fry, but very good still. The cornbread was amazing in my opinion. I found this place just driving by. I've worked in Franklin for just over a year and never ventured into Bellingham, but I wish I had. I'll definitely be coming back for more over the summer. Disappointment. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity for someone to appear at the register to take my order (pork butt burger and hand cut fries), I waited another 15 minutes for my order to appear, even though I came at an off peak time and the one other person that was in the restaurant already had her order. The pork butt burger was large but had a really soggy bun that fell apart and oozed a combo of mayo and grease. The fries were worse, completely soggy and limp having sat in fryer oil too long and I ended up throwing them out. Between the above average prices, negligent service and flavor that is just average, overall this place is 2.5 stars tops. If I'm in the area, I might try out the wings which coworkers have told me are pretty good, but I'm not going out of my way to revisit. read more

I've had just about everything on the menu (except for the veggie burger) and have yet to be disappointed by anything. The quality is consistently excellent and the prices are reasonable. All the staff are friendly and make the whole meal that much more enjoyable. They go out of their way to make sure you get what you want. The chili-cheese dog has to be experienced. Words do not do it justice. Just don't think you're getting a regular hot dog and order two because you usually eat two dogs. This is like the Saturn V Rocket of chili-cheese dogs. The burger selection is jaw-dropping and the burgers themselves almost require you to unhinge that jaw they are so stacked. Personal favs include the American Bleu Burger, Canadian Banquet Burger and the Joff's Stacked Burger. The salads are also top notched. I had a chicken chopped salad for lunch today which was great. The tenderloin salads are also amazing. I could go on but you get the picture. This is a must-eat place. read more

Very tasty food! Their signature seems to be the "good for your butt" rib combo, so I jumped in. The root beer bbq glaze is sweet and tangy, but not overly sweet. It's also not dripping in sauce, a cuip of extra sauce is provided on the side, of which I used most of. The slaw was very good, fresh and not soaking wet, but a bit too sweet. The chili is good as well, though the hotness does seem to come from a heavy hand with certain spices. The cornbread was really good and not dry. My friend was very happy with his honey garlic wings and handcut fries. I'll certainly stop in at Joff's again to try a new dish. read more

This is my favorite lunch place near my office. The burgers are excellent - thick, juicy and perfectly seasoned. I've never had to add salt and/or pepper to any of my burgers. Try the American Bleu Burger - my favorite. And the wings - oh my gawd, the wings! The ribs were fatty and the meat was bland. The cornbread is served cold and isn't that good. I did like the BBQ sauce. They just don't taste smoked, cooked with charcoal, or any type of BBQ.
