Hannah our bartender was super friendly. Loved the vibe in this bar. Located right on a busy street corner. Drinks were amazing as well

As we were walking we were greeted graciously and given treats by the hostess. After taking a walk around and getting things in order we came back for a show and some dinner. We were checked in and led upstairs with the ability to sit anywhere we had to plan. We chose to sit at the bar and ordered a burger, fried green tomatoes, and a couple of drinks. The fried green tomatoes were amazing and very filling. So filling that I didn't get to eat my burger and took it home for later. Believe me when I got home later I definitely ate that thing up and it was just as good as I'm sure it was to begin with. We watched the show which was very entertaining and we had met other couples and groups that were visiting the venue. Everyone was so friendly and we had a great time making new friends! Stuff was very polite and got to us and timely manners. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend for anyone to stop in

We didn't go to the dueling piano show, which seems to be draw. We were just hungry and looking for some good food. In all fairness, the food was decent. It just wasn't what we were looking for, so essentially we had settled. We had the Charleston smash burger and the Patty Melt, both with fries. My daughter had a Bloody Mary with her meal. Everything was good. The fries are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, and seasoned. Our server Adam was friendly and attentive. Decor is basic, dark, sports bar like. Winter Olympics were on the TVs. Nothing bad to report at all. Perfectly fine for a quick bite and drinks with friends.

Ordered via Uber Eats, this buffalo chicken were from John King Grill was one of the best wraps I have had. Stuffed full of spicy buffalo chicken. It was delicious and enough to eat for 2 meals! Also, it arrived quickly and was very reasonably priced.

Service was fine staff was kind and patient a bit slow on the wait but once we put our orders in the food came out fast . Fries were fine and they were accommodating . I will say I'm not a fan of basket fries like this but that's a personal thing . The portion of fries were fine for the portion of the sandwich

I'm pretty sure this is a tourist trap. There's a $20 cover charge to see the dueling pianos - which did at least start punctually at 8p - but the food menu is uninspiring and the drinks no better than what a beginner would make. I loved how the piano-playing sisters sung and took song requests, letting guests expel karaoke energy without the rest of us having to listen to subpar singers carry the tune. But your whole group - including your friends and the other guests - does have to be into it, or the enjoyment wanes quickly.

The food was good! My tenders were soft and juicy and tossed in garlic Parmesan. My wife had the patty melt and onion rings. She liked her meal a lot. The server did a great job. She was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was chaotic! But it was also Halloween night and they had piano players hammering out tunes. It was fun to watch the crowd and even the people passing by were dancing to the music.

After dinner down the street, my husband and I decided to pop over for some music and fun. We went upstairs and it was pretty busy but we were able to grab a two top. The music was LOUD and FUN and everyone was having a great time. It was a big space and the bar was a good size as well, we didn't have to wait long at all for our drinks. I will not get the espresso martini again - not the way I usually like it - but the other drinks were fine and we enjoyed the vibe. The overall experience was good and I'd definitely go back!

Great experience, great food! On our first day visiting Charleston, we stopped here for dinner. We enjoyed it so much, we went multiple times! The smash burger, chicken wrap, and fries were all really good. The Dueling Piano is a fun, unique experience as well. Highly recommend stopping by at least once. They do have a cover charge for the dueling piano. I believe it was $10 per person when we went. It was a lot of fun. It's also in a great location.

Came by for a late night bite... not only was it closed 3 hours before the hours posted stated- but there was a gigantic rat in the middle of the restaurant. When I tried to snap a pic a manager came out and asked if we needed anything. Sir- not only are you closed 3 hours early I pointed out there was a large vermin in the middle of the dining room.. he pretended to be surprised.

JKGrill and Dueling pianos Bar on Kings St and John St in downtown Charleston is a cute and unique little burger joint. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Downstairs they have a small bar and restroom. Upstairs is the Dueling Piano bar. The piano bar does have a cover charge. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. The hamburger was delicious and serviced with your choice of side. Prices are reasonable for Charleston. The side salad was delicious with green peppers, onions, tomatoes Croutons and your choice of salad dressing. The hamburger was tasty. Parking is a challenge since it is downtown Charleston. If you are downtown and hungry for a hamburger, give JK's a try.

I got the classic burger with Brussel sprouts. $5 uncharge to swap fries for Brussel sprouts seemed a little steep for a quick burger joint but the Brussels were actually really good. Not sure what they were cooked in but it added a bunch of good flavor and there were a few pieces that had a nice crust on them. The burger was delicious. The buns were perfectly toasted so each bite had a nice buttery crunch to it. I don't know what's in their special sauce but it really brings everything together.

Also, this place is huge so they were able to accommodate my friend's post-wedding party (about 20 people) at the last minute and we had a blast. Everywhere else we tried to go either didn't have the space for us or were closing so it totally made our night! We just made sure to call ahead to check and they were more than happy to have us - the bride was happy so you know it was good :) Bottom line, the Peacock is a local gem hidden in plain sight on East Bay and, as a local, it's become one of my top go-to's in Charleston. The roof was closed so we weren't able to check out that. The staff was friendly albeit a bit out of it for being as dead as they were. I was at the bar for maybe 10 minutes or so before anyone ever walked over to me (there was also no hostess at the door for when I was trying to check in for my reservation.) I saw a woman who had just finished a conversation on her cell phone walking into one part of the L-shaped facility, so I followed her. "The host" asked whether I wanted to be seated inside or outside. I told him I had no preference. Landon, who became my server, then escorted me to the attached building, carrying menus and two glasses of water. Shortly after I was seated, Landon approached and asked if I would like a drink. I ordered a Margarita. Since I already knew what I wanted for my entrée, I also ordered the French Dip with French Fries. The French Dip arrived warm, but the fries were cold. When Landon inquired about my meal, I informed him of the situation. He immediately took the fries away. After I finished the French Dip, I received the fries. I do not know whether they were the original fries that had been reheated or a fresh order. Regardless, these fries were hot. Shortly afterward, the young man who had originally asked where I wanted to sit came to my table and removed my dirty dishes. Landon then brought me my check. Due to the circumstances, I was given a discount on my bill. Anyway, I did not hear either of them ask whether I wanted dessert. Perhaps because of my complaint, they just wanted me out. Oh well-- their loss! I really wanted to tried their Sundae! Landon again apologized for the cold French fries. He provided very good service throughout my meal, so I do not fault him for the kitchen's mistake. Based on the restaurant's L-shaped design, with two separate buildings and the kitchen located in one building while some of the dining area is in the other, I realize that meals may become cooler by the time they reach the table. Therefore, I would highly recommend requesting a table in the building where the bar is located. Lastly, serving water in a plastic cup, in my opinion, gives the restaurant a rather cheap appearance. Considering the overall setting, I would expect water to be served in a proper glass.
