Krab, cucumber, avocado (no rice) - sorry can't remember what it was called but it was yummy

We were up in WPB for a celebration of life and decided to take advantage and find a different place to eat. My kid wanted sushi, so we landed at Saisaki. The space is very clean and we loved the decor. Now I know this sounds odd, but their bathroom was also super clean, nicely decorated and smelled good. You can tell a lot about a place but the bathroom. My daughter and decided to share so we could taste more things. We had the krab salad and 2 rolls - the jb tempura and the happy ending. And yes, it was weird hearing my kid ask for a happy ending. Both rolls were delicious! The Krab salad was also so good and fresh and the avocado was perfectly ripe. My MIL has a chicken dumpling wonton. She loved it and also had the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. It was the first time she ever had pad Thai and she loved it. My husband had a Thai dish and I can't remember what it was called but he ate every bite. We also ordered spicy edamame. It was the only thing I wasn't thrilled with. I felt the beans were over cooked so they dint have a good mouth feel. We ended with fried ice cream. It was not bad. Not spectacular, but everyone enjoyed it. If the restaurant was closer to home, we'd definitely be back for the food. (We were only 4 people and gratuity was pre added to the bill). I didn't see anything on the menu or signs that mentioned it, and the server didn't mention it either. This is why I dropped it down a star.

Great sushi! I ordered the sexy roll, but listen; sexy, ugly, call it whatever you want, but if this roll is anything, it's delicious. After a day of floating around on the beach, this truly hit the spot. Tucked away inside a Publix plaza, it's small and the ambiance is a little confusing cause it's a got a lot of random decor going on, but definitely good food.

We were in West Palm Beach for a memorial and decided to have dinner before we drove home. I looked at a lot of different restaurants on Yelp before I decided on this place. It's located in a very nice shopping center with Publix and and a few other restaurants. Inside the restaurant lt self, it's very clean, even the bathrooms are very clean, nicely decorated, and the tables are not on top of each other. Our server was also very good. We started with a bunch of different things. My mother had wonton soup, she really liked it. Then we shared some spicy edamame. My wife and mother thought it was a little bit too spicy, my daughter and loved it. It had great flavor and a nice kick. I had a krab wrap, it's a roll wrapped with cucumber instead of rice. It was very good. And the last thing we had was the krab salad and was excellent. For dinner my wife and daughter shared a couple of rolls, a Happy Ending roll and one other roll, they must have enjoyed, they finished every bit of it. My mother had a hard time deciding, she is picky. We talked her in to the Pad Ty. It turned out to be a very good choice. Now, for me I had a tough time deciding, I went with the ginger stir-fry, it was very good. For dessert we shared some fries icecream. Mmmm good. It's to bad this place isn't closer to home. We really enjoyed eating here.

I've had SAISAKI on my list of sushi places to try, and I hate that I've taken this long to finally come here. I'll start by saying that this place is perfectly located in a very easy to find plaza, quite a few options of things you can do around here as well, which is nice in case you want to package some shopping around your meal. Upon arriving, the outside is quite deceiving and you don't notice that there's a sushi restaurant in front of you. However, upon walking in, I knew it was something special. We weren't originally greeted by the hostess since she was further in the back of the restaurant. However the gentleman at the sushi bar did extend a brief greeting and advised we could grab a seat. The decor is quite dark, but with some fun wall painting in theme with what you should expect at a sushi place. After seating down, we ordered a few things, and our food came to the table rather quickly which was great! Everything was also beautifully presented, nice cuts, and fresh. I absolutely had to order a few things even without being too hungry because every dish was better than the last. I highly recommend the Usuzukuri with salmon and tuna, it was fresh with a delicious brightness from the yuzu, and wonderful depth of flavor from the truffle and perfect light texture from the little drops of crunchy garlic sprinkled on top. Some of the other items were also the Baby Girl roll which was surprisingly filling with delicious blue crab and the torched salmon on top and the jalapeño (unexpected, but delicious!), we also had the Japanese scallop lime zest nigiri, and the lime zest was such a nice touch! Very refreshing! Highly recommend it all! Lastly, we could not have ended our meal in a better way than to have an unagi, quail egg ikura nigiri this was incredibly rich, with a subtle sweetness and a nice acidity from a mild drop of lime zest, and the mildest fire on the raw egg to just give it warmth and light cook, yet allowing you to still have that creaminess on the bite. Absolutely delicious!!! Will drive here to have this again!

When I say this was probably the best sushi I ever had I am not exaggerating. I recently was in the area visiting my friend for her birthday and decided on sushi for dinner. We went about an hour before closing on a Thursday so it wasn't very busy and was seated right away. The service was great but was definitely outshined by the food. Each of the sushi rolls were delicious and fresh. They weren't just the typical choices and were very creative with combinations as well as presentation. I would definitely return when back in the area.

Food: The sushi here is always really good. This place has changed names three times since I've been living in this area. And it's a tad bit on the pricier side of sushi compared to some other more affordable and reliable places in similar neighborhoods. My my go to is the DAIMYO role, and I also love the rainbow roll, which is a cucumber wrap. It's actually exactly the same as the DAIMYO role, except that it trapped in cucumber. They both include tuna, yellowtail, salmon, avocado, asparagus, scallions, and Row. I also love their Tom Kah soup. It's kind of hard to mess that up and they don't thank goodness :-) Ambiance: I've never been to this place when there's a rush or a wait. I'm guessing they do a lot of to go orders? Anyway, the ambience is just fine it's a dimly lit place with a couple of TVs that are always showing random movies from the 90s or the early 2000s seating is pretty limited but it's comfy. Service: service is just fine. Nothing special. There's not that many booths and as I said, there's never that many people in there so I've always had really good service because there's nothing competing with my servers attention. Another review giving it to you straight no chaser! Enjoy!

Saisaki is conveniently located in the Publix shopping plaza on Village Blvd, just off Palm Beach Lakes. We've ordered from them numerous times for take-out and also dined in. The restaurant has a nice sushi bar and plenty of booth seating. We've always been served quickly. The silky napkins are a bit weird, but otherwise everything has been solid in terms of a dining experience here. Their poke bowls are my wife's favorite option and I've found their sushi options to be plentiful - many unique and standard roll options here. The food has always been very good, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's excellent. Definitely a go-to option when we want to eat close to home.

Once inside I noticed that the lighting was darker and the interior minimized. We were invited to sit anywhere so we chose a front window booth. The table only had one service setting so we had to borrow another from a neighboring table. We looked over the menus and made our choices from the Lunch Specials. I went with the Chicken Red Curry. My wife ordered a Shrimp dish. We noticed that the only person taking orders and serving would disappear into the kitchen for extended amounts of time. (The only one working?) Our food was finally brought out of the kitchen. My wife's Shrimp dish was absent of Shrimp, but had chicken instead so she sent it back. Meanwhile I ate my Luke warm red curry vegetables and rice with a few drabs of chicken meat. So sad to see the dramatic decline in what once was an A-1 Thai restaurant.

The restaurant has seen better days, it's a bit grim inside with everything showing some wear. We were directed to a booth and given lunch menus. There was one guy taking orders and serving. There was a large party of folks who worked near by seated at a long table and a couple other booths occupied when we came. It took long enough for him to take our order that we were debating whether or not to leave. Chicken vegetable soup comes with the entrees. We were each given hot soup. The vegetables were mainly cabbage and there were a couple pieces of chicken in it. The light broth, however, was good with little bits of fried garlic in it. My husband's chicken red curry was served on a flat plate. It came with white rice. He said it would have been better if it was a hotter temperature. I'd ordered cashew shrimp, but was delivered chicken. I'd corrected him when ordering, so I sent it back. The shrimp were good -- a half a dozen nice sized pieces. The dish also had a lot of cashews. The only downside? The rice was cold. I'm glad we tried them. Now we know.

For a split second, I thought maybe the place had been rented out for a private party we weren't invited to. But, trusting the good reviews, we decided to stay and risk it. Worst case? We'd get our food before the menus even hit the table. We started with the curry puffs--crispy, warm, nicely seasoned. Solid little bites, though not exactly the type of appetizer you dream about later like an old high school crush. My salad with peanut dressing followed, but the dressing was more watery than I'd like. Tasty, yes, but I like my peanut dressing to hug the lettuce, not run away from it. And then--boom--the Penang curry chicken arrived and stole the spotlight. This was the real deal. The flavors were rich and balanced, with that "made from scratch" depth you can't fake. I asked for mine spicy and they nailed it--just the right amount of heat to make me sweat a little but still want to keep eating. And, I like it hot! Mission accomplished without losing flavor!! My wife went mild, and hers looked like it had been painted in softer pastels while mine was done in neon flames. Same dish, two totally different personalities. The owner came by to chat, and she was a delight. Turns out they grow their own peppers and make all their curries from scratch. Suddenly, it all made sense--the freshness, the layered flavors, the fact that my taste buds felt like they were on a guided tour of Thailand instead of eating reheated sauce from a jar. So yes, the restaurant was empty when we walked in. But this isn't a ghost town--it's a hidden gem. A 30 years in business hidden gem. Next time, I'm bringing more people along, partly for the company and partly so I don't feel like I accidentally booked a private dining experience.

It's a small restaurant but very cozy. Amy, the server was very nice. When I arrived there were a few people eating. The one thing I actually found annoying was the man at the table behind me was on his phone speaking loudly the entire time I was there. He finished dinner maybe moments before I did. I would've appreciated had Amy told him you know not to be on the phone like that while people were eating. It was very very disturbing. Another thing I didn't really like was that they didn't give you a salad or something with your dinner. Most Thai restaurants either give you soup or a salad with your dinner. Now onto the food. The food was delicious. I started with the shrimp a blanket and for dinner I had pad siew. I'm probably not spelling it correctly, but it was very tasty. The portion of noodles was quite large. I got the combination version that's supposed to come with shrimp chicken and beef. There were only two shrimp in my dish which I was not happy about. Overall, it was a good experience. Yes it would've been better if I didn't have a loud man screaming into a phone behind me through the whole meal. And yes, I would've probably enjoyed a salad before my dinner. But overall, it was a good experience and I probably would return.
