A Slice Above: Johnny Pomodoro's Crispy Cup Pizza Now my pictures do no justice but this is a beautiful pie! I've tried a lot of pizza out here but Johnny Pomodoro's stands out with its innovative and mouthwatering Crispy Cup Pizza. Each slice is a masterpiece, featuring a crust that achieves the elusive perfect crunch, a golden standard for pizza aficionados. The toppings are generously layered, offering a burst of flavor in every bite, harmoniously blending traditional and bold, new tastes. But the true pièce de résistance is the heavenly honey drip - an unexpected yet utterly divine addition that elevates the pizza from merely delicious to transcendental. It's this sweet, sumptuous finishing touch that lingers on your palate, compelling you to savor each bite slowly. Johnny Pomodoro's has not just created a pizza; they've crafted an experience. One that's full of flavor, texture, and a delightful surprise. For anyone in search of pizza perfection, the journey ends here. Johnny Pomodoro's Crispy Cup Pizza is not just food; it's a revelation.

Order the Grumpy Garderner and the cook was probably taking it seriously to make such a bad pizza... No marinara , no pesto and box full of oil from loads and loads of cheese... Cant even pull a cut pf slic put with all cheese sticking to box... Called and no one cared to get back on the phone Avoid.

Can only rave about the Crispy Pepperoni Cup tray pizza. It has a thick and chewy crust. Not many places in Boston have the crispy edge pepperoni cups like the one here. Very cheesy and added touch of honey. I personally didn't mind the honey but I wonder if it can be put on the side. Will definitely get this pizza again

I live around the corner from Johnnie P's. Excitement was high when it opened two years ago. Quality and consistency have continued to slide since. They charge a premium price, yet Dominoes cares more about the food they make. It's sad to see.

If you have celiac, definitely avoid this place. My son was glutened and got sick after eating their pizza.

This is the best thick crust pizza I have had in many years. I had it delivered and it stood up fine. Highly recommend it.

Great pizza! I'd love to see them add more innovative vegetarian options to the menu. Great addition to the charlestown restaurant lineup!

Great pizza. A little pricey but can easily make multiple meals out of a large to make it worth the splurge.

You can immediately tell this place takes pride in what they do, especially when you see the chefs in action. Watching them work with the freshly made dough and expertly handle the pizza oven added such a fun and authentic touch to the experience. The food was absolutely incredible. The pizza was hands down one of the best we've had--perfectly crisp crust, fresh ingredients, and full of flavor in every bite. We also ordered the cucumber salad, which was refreshing, light, and the perfect complement to the richness of the pizza. If you're in Boston and looking for a spot with amazing pizza, fresh ingredients, and a great vibe, The Salty Pig is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back! We had the meat lover's pie and oh my. Wgat a delicious fusion animals, cheese, tomatoes and crust. The taste took me back to a pizza I had many years ago at a place in Cambridge--in a great way! They only sell whole pies, which at first seemed annoying (the first time I tried coming here a few years ago I was by myself and couldn't eat a whole pizza alone) so I had to make this my inaugural tasting). But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow. The menu is simple: pizzas and meat skewers. They know what they do well and lean into it hard. The ambiance has a rustic feel, with tall, weathered wooden booths that make eating a close experience, so please bring people you really like! The servers are present but not hovering and checked on us with the kind of frequency that says, "yeah we should let you eat but not forget you are there." I will be back for sure.

The steak tips and lamb tips were cooked very well, juicy and tender though lacking salt and seasoning. Sausage was good, a bit spicy. I didn't understand the addition of the bread, it was dry and there was no butter or olive oil to go with it. Portions were ok for the price. Pizza was ok, not my kind of pizza, the crust is very thin and cracker like, it doesn't hold up under additional toppings. Flavor of sauce and toppings was good, toppings were also generous. Service was fine, it took the wait staff a little bit to notice we were waiting to be seated. Overall it's worth a try, there's a reason they've been in business over 100 years.
