The second jacket, picture attached, was gently worn 4 times before it shredded in TWO places in the back of the jacket. After being out town most of August I returned the jacket on Labor Day to the store requesting that the owner give me a call. That Saturday I receive a US Postal bag with the jacket and the attached letter suggesting that my purse ruined the jacket that I should find a seamstress who might be able to repair it. The evening the jacket shredded, I was hosting a catered dinner party at my home and didn't even have a purse near it. Is this what customer service is today? Stonestown and downtown SF used to be my primary stores. Now it's Corte Madera. This store is so well stocked, I almost never hear "I can order it online". I walked in explained I did not have my receipt but I should be in the system as I was part of the rewards program. The first assistant could not be bothered what so ever . She half heartedly attempted to enter my email in her system but was unable to find me in her system. She was very rude and basically said she was unable to help me without my receipt . The second assistant was very helpful and willing to help me and work with me and she was able to locate me in the system. She said it would be totally fine for me to exchange the faulty jeans for a new pair in store. After finding a pair that were comfortable she came back to the fitting room and said I could no longer exchange the faulty jeans. They could patch them up for me ! A multi million dollar company is offering a patch up service on faulty jeans. This was the decision from the store manager at this branch who was sadly like a robot. No customer support and just a very lame Attitude to me as the customer. This store is possibly the worst experience I have ever come across in my entire life. To be saying one thing to a customer then only to retract the decision was highly unprofessional and totally sub standard. Madewell in Corte Madera turned out to be a shopping nightmare.
