Since moving to Gilbert in 2019 we have been unsuccessful at finding a groomer for our toy Schnauzer - until now! Vicente is a master at grooming. We brought our dog in looking pretty shaggy and she was transformed into a show dog! Wow, just wow! Vicente asked me in detail what I wanted for our dog, and he followed our instructions to the letter. He even had a few great recommendations of his own! The establishment is very clean and well managed. It is evident that the owner really enjoys what he is doing. We have been bringing our two dogs here for the past two years or so for grooming and boarding and have paid a lot of money for those services. I really felt that my dogs were in good hands here until my most recent pickup of my dogs from their grooming appointment on March 8th, 2022. I picked up my dogs in the afternoon and expected my Aussie to have her summer cut and it looked like they had barely trimmed her hair at all. Also, I didn't notice until bed that night that her pads on both front paws had open wounds from them shaving down her pads too much and were bleeding. She was sensitive to be touched and walked very carefully for the following week or so. I understand that this kind of thing can happen, but I was so disappointed and upset that this wasn't immediately brought to my attention when I picked them up. I'm not sure if it had to do with the "new to me" groomer that I've never met before, but I preferred the familiar faces from before like Kelsie and Vincente. If I was being given a new groomer, I would have appreciated a more thorough look at my dogs and my expectations for their grooming needs. The groomer, who never introduced herself, took a quick glance at the computer and just said "Same as last time?" and I replied with, "yes". I actually thought it would be the same as last time, but it was not. I'm definitely more comfortable now that I've found a new boarder and groomer for my pups that I feel will take care of my dogs and their needs! read more

I moved to the area over the summer, and my dog was not used to being boarded, as I used to live close to friends & family alike. I was hesitant to board her, but she is too large to board planes. I have been going here for almost a year and it was always nothing but great experiences needless to say the last visit my dog had there it looked like I cut her hair! She was soooo uneven a child could tell . I called in to complain and the (new) owner which was surprise to me , was so rude and not once offered an apology or any accommodations besides telling me to prove she looked bad .... I'm sorry but I wouldn't waste my time to call you to complain if it wasn't valid . I won't ever go there again and I had about 6 neighbors who went there also and saw my dog and told them my story and also won't be going there anymore. I understand mistakes happen but for an owner (new) at the very least to not even offer an apology is plain horrible business. If you are curious about the type of company this is just look at the way they respond to negative reviews. They call their customers rude and never admit that they are the ones at fault. Any company that claims they are always right is not one that you should give business to. I am sure they do a great job on some dogs but god forbid you have an issue. They will not solve any problems caused by them and they will make you feel extremely bad when you bring up a concern. read more

I had such a great experience taking two of my toy poodles to Johnny's Doghouse today! Most of us dog moms and dads have experienced our pups getting bad cuts. I have many times. In fact I'm always annoyed with groomers BUT that all changed today. As soon as I arrived Jazmin (groomer) actually took time to listen to what I wanted and even sat on the floor to get to know my dogs who don't really like anyone and they immediately hopped in her lap. Johnny was also just as friendly and helpful and it was obvious he has a genuine love for animals. I'm so excited to have met them. My dogs looked perfect and they did not have that awkward cut and they looked so happy hanging out there. I also love that our pups get sweet lei's instead of the typical bandanna.
