Jodi did a fabulous job. She even handled the fact that he hated leaving me because he's a service dog and we are always together. She fit me in quickly also because I had attempted to scissor cut him but I truely messed up and if you know anything about standard poodles they love looking good and are very aware when they are having a bad hair day so he was super unhappy. As you can see from the pictures he was super happy afterwards!!!! He was playing with a lovely doodle while waiting for me to pick him up too. If even leave him for day care or boarding here and I don't ever leave my service dog but if I had to, these guys would be the place! They are very covid safe as well, masks a must!! I was thrilled when my poor baby came out looking like a little teddy bear. He was overgrown because I was having trouble booking mobile groomers. They will book an appointment and then they change the time on you or even the date without asking you first if the new time or date will work for you. So I decided to give Johnny's a try and I am so glad I did. It's a little drive for me but it's really well worth the drive because he looks better than he ever has. read more

I've decided today that sometimes companies make mistakes and other times they take advantage of the client and take the client for granted. I looked over at my dogs today and felt bad that the owner ever convinced me in a phone call to delete my post. I gave them another chance but it happened again. 1st time was last year the groomer burned my Maltese's testicles and the owner only offered a free groom; first of all it's not about the free service, second, I wanted empathy for what happened to my dog. The 2nd experience was a few months ago I took in my other dog and my dogs eye was poked and shut completely. They claimed "fur" got in his eye but he was like that for more than a week and it bothered me so much that the owner despite giving me a "free groom" due to my other dogs BAD EXPERIENCE he still charged me for that horrible hair cut and injury that they caused on my 2nd dog. This place always has different groomers, no wonder why. They take more than 4+ hours to tell you your dog is finished only to find out that when you get there they're still not done with them. It shouldn't take 4-5 hours to work on a small dog who is still during the process. I've noticed the owner always replies back to the negative comments in such a way that makes it seem like the client has had a "misunderstanding" and enough is enough I will not delete my review this time. I love my fur babies too much to have let this owner who lacks empathy to ask me to delete my post. I wonder how many times he's had to ask clients to delete bad reviews. I've gone to a new groomer which has stable staff, finishes in less than 2 hours and have empathy and I realized that there are places out here that truly focus on keeping it not crowded, don't hire just to have staff they hire ppl who genuinely know the art and skill to groom dogs and it has been a life changer for me and my dogs. I do not recommend this place take that extra drive and go somewhere else! read more

dog Bentley is very fidgety it has a lot of anxiety with his haircut. I personally cannot cut all of his hair especially on his face. I've tried too many times. Although his routine groomer Jessica has so much patience with him. He always comes back with a full shave like desired. She is willing to accommodate and have all the patience for your for Baby. Originally I had a good experience here with our other dog but we took our havanese here because he had knots in his hair and immediately when we picked him up I realized he was traumatized. I know sometimes working with dogs is hard but based on past reviews this seems like it isn't the first time this has happened. We came home and found him shivering and shaking and clearly he was in a lot of pain. We looked all around his body and found a razor burn bump mark that was very red in his backside area. The staff at Johnnys Doghouse was so friendly and welcoming! I brought in my chihuahua who is not friendly and semi-aggressive towards strangers, yet she was welcomed in with open arms! The rates for bathing/nail clips/ear cleaning are very much affordable. My piper smelt so amazing and her teeth and breath are so much better. Just like many of you have mentioned, this is definitely not the same owners and the new owners make sure to make that clear. I've been back a few times after the new acquisition and today was by far the worst. I was given the 2pm appointment on 11/26. Arrived a few minutes ahead of time. Asked for longer hair as it is cold out and also showed a picture of a previous cut. I was told he was going to ask and even took a picture of my picture to show the groomers. Also asked for the teeth cleaning. Left but also mentioned to desk attendant that it smelled really horrid in there. Almost vomit like. I couldn't wait to leave. I should have taken my dog with me and followed my instincts. Picked her up at 545pm. It should never take this long to get a simple bath and cut. Because I clearly did not get what I had asked for. I payed, tipped 20% and left. But I will not be back simply because the new owners Do Not Care. They don't care about their building and image, they don't care about the services they provide and they clearly don't care about your dog! My doggy used to be happy to go in and now she shakes and has and attack every time. Will drive further out and will pay even more to never go here again. read more

This is my 4th time taking my dog to Johnnys. First couple times were fine. I really loved the last haircut she got so I asked to have that same groomer and he assured me she did. I took her in at 11:45 and when I didn't hear back by 5(when they close) I drove over. He mentioned she had been matted and they couldn't comb her out(I gave her a bath 3 days before and she was not matted. I did notice a ball of knots on her ear from her love of ears rubs and he assured me they could brush it out.) Anyway he mentioned they had to take her a little shorter.. however when I looked back they had just barely started her haircut... at 5 o clock. He said it'd be about 15 min and they would call. I had other plans at 5:30 and still hadn't heard back so I arranged my nephew to pick up my dog. When he got there at 5:45 they still weren't done and said it'd just be a few more minutes. He said when they brought Her out they said they had to take the hair on the ear shorter because of the knots and said that one side is shorter and they made it extra fluffy to look more even. Now that she's not as fluffy it's completely uneven! Like if you took one side shorter wouldn't it make sense to take the other side as short so it's not uneven? THIS ISNT EVEN THE WORSTE PART! I can handle the bad haircut.. but ever since she's gotten him she just lays around and when she does walk you can tell she gets irritated in her under parts and immediately licks it to relieve the discomfort. I looked her over to see what was going on and she was so red and splotchy like a razor burn. It's so sad! I have referred a handful of people and have told them to discontinue they're service. Horrible haircut, horrible communication, and horrible care for dogs. I've already made my next appt at another location. read more
