We had a great time at Johnson's landing! We went to the upper part of the restaurant for our anniversary and got to enjoy a beautiful view of the lake as well as delicious food. Our server was very attentive to us as well as all of her tables, the atmosphere was very comfortable and over all it was a wonderful experience. The food we got was delicious and they offered plenty of gluten free options for me-including the featured dessert of chocolate mousse. This was a wonderful spot to visit and we will definitely be back

This is a solid spot by the water! The second floor is closed on Sundays and Mondays. I ordered a chicken & waffle pizza to split and it was certainly interesting - but in a good way! The sweetness of it complemented the chicken/pizza well. There was also a nice little kick to it.

Had my birthday brunch here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience as did my guests. Everyone ordered different things of course, and I ended up going for the breakfast pizza ($20) which was delicious and had some for leftovers too! The pizza had bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, and other things on there as well. I also had a cocktail, but I can't remember what it was called, but I know it had a peach ring on top and our server was really nice and brought me some extra peach rings in a glass to enjoy. I really enjoyed the vibe of the space and we were able to all be together outside on their covered patio where you could almost catch peels of the lake across the road. I cannot recall the servers names, but we had two who really great and the food came out very quickly considering how large our party was. definitely recommend checking out this place and I look forward to going back to try other delicious things I saw on the menu.

Johnson's landing is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Buffalo during the summer months! They have 3 levels of different dining experiences so there's something for everyone! From your average pub restaurant on the first floor, to your fancier restaurant on the second and a rooftop bar on the 3rd overlooking the gorgeous Buffalo sunsets and view of Lake Erie! I have been here 3 times and I have never been disappointed! The food is outstanding! I've ordered everything from their wood fired pizzas to their sandwiches to even the pork chop (not pictured) you can never go wrong! The service is great! They definitely know how to keep a good time going with live music on the weekends and amazing cocktails to enjoy while watching the sunset! I know I will definitely be back! I mean come on! Look at that view!! Amazing!

Stopped in for dinner today. The wait downstairs was 45 minutes but there was a bar table available so we grabbed that. We ordered our drinks and food at the bar. The food came out really quick and hot. The steak sandwich was a little lack luster and could use more steak. The fish fry was good , the macaroni salad and fries were really good sides and the coleslaw wasn't my favorite.

This was my first time here and I'm certainly looking forward to coming back in the summer! Ambiance was great- 5/5 on that due to the views on the 2nd floor. It was a very "fancy" environment with cloth napkins, candles, etc. this would be very nice for a date night ! Food was also pretty good so 5/5 on this as well. They serve you bread with butter AND dipping oil which was pure perfection. The bread was crunchy out the outside and soft in the inside and had a great texture with every bite! Service was slow here and I'm not sure if it was a due to being a busy Friday night but I had to call the waitress over a few different times for drink refills. One thing to be mindful of is the different menus for the different areas of the restaurant- they only serve certain items on the 2nd floor. Check the menu!

Even though it was packed they found a table for us! They made our night and sat us with 5 minutes. The soup was delicious the salad was great! The pork chop was the most delicious pork chop I ever had! Juicy and perfect! The vibe was super fun and cool. And the sunset is perfect!! It's a go to place!

When our entrées arrived, only four of the eight meals were brought to the table. We had to remind our server that the remaining meals were missing. About 10 minutes later, only three more meals arrived, leaving one person still without dinner. Once again, we had to ask for the final meal to be brought out. No one at the table should have to eat at different times because of such poor coordination. The food itself was also underwhelming. The steak fajitas were especially disappointing--they consisted of a few somewhat tough pieces of steak with no peppers or onions, which are basic ingredients for fajitas. The steak hoagie was similarly sparse, containing mostly shaved steak with very few vegetables. To make matters worse, the fries served with the meals were cold. Our appetizer was also mishandled. The charcuterie board arrived with salami, cream cheese, and cheese, but no bread or crackers. We had to ask for those to be brought out. We also had to request small plates because none were provided. Finally, throughout the meal, dirty dishes--including our appetizer plates--were never cleared from the table, leaving us surrounded by stacks of dishes until we were finished. Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Between the disorganized service, multiple forgotten items, cold food, and lack of attention to basic hospitality, we expected much better. Unfortunately, we won't be rushing back.

It came with beef brisket, bbq chicken, baked beans, Mac& cheese and French fries. What I nibbled on was really good but unfortunately in all the confusion never took the leftovers. Food: 0/10 Alright this is the third time I've come to this location. I'm trying to be fair but the bad food is consistent. For instance tonight I got the "campfire" plate which was fries, Mac and cheese, chicken, and brisket. Fries? Too hot to eat first. Mac and cheese? Literally colder than room temp and DRY! No cheese...like cold dry noodles? The brisket was slimy and small portion sized, the chicken was fine I guess. Everything else was so gross though by the time I got to the chicken I didn't care. I've come every time with my family of 4, and all 3 experiences were the same. I wish the food was anything but what it is because I'd love to come back here. I'll never recommend it and I'm actually just going to give away my $100 gift card to anyone who wants to dare to eat here.

Upon arriving, the hostess told us that the outdoor reservation actually means nothing and its first come first serve for seating. So, that wasn't great. As always, the space was great. The rooftop bar was fantastic - great weather and a live DJ made it a really fun place to hang out on a Friday night. The bar upstairs didn't have as good of a cocktail menu as inside, which was okay! We ordered our food directly at the bar. Black Smoke used to have a delicious BBQ inspired menu. They have recently updated their menu, and I wasn't impressed. We ordered the Mac and cheese croquettes, the steak flatbread, and the chips and dip. The Mac and cheese balls were good but they were very heavily seasoned with Italian seasoning - it was a little overpowering. I had heard great things about the steak flatbread - steak, goat cheese, caramelized onions, and fresh spring greens. The flatbread arrived and was cut into these little triangles and was stacked on top of eachother and the spring greens seemed like they were cooked on the pizza instead of sprinkled on after. This made the flatbread taste kind of swampy and completely negated the delicious onion and flat cheese combo going on. If you got a bite without the spring greens it was tasty. The chips and dip were the one thing I had no issues with. The chips were thick and homemade and the dip was creamy, oniony, and delicious! Overall, the bartenders were amazing, the drinks were good, and the vibes were top tier. I just won't be back for dinner any time soon.

I was a little hesitant after reading several reviews that mentioned poor customer service, but we decided to give it a try anyway. Thankfully, our experience was much different. Our server was excellent. She was attentive, patient, and even offered drink samples when we were unsure what to order. For appetizers, I ordered the pizza flight featuring the stuffed banana pepper, stinger, and chicken spinach pizzas. The stuffed banana pepper wasn't really my favorite, but the stinger was absolutely delicious. The chicken spinach was good as well. While everything was enjoyable, nothing really wowed me. I also tried the French onion soup, which was flavorful, though I wasn't a fan of the heavy amount of Parmesan cheese on top. A friend ordered the garlic Parmesan wings and found them to be dry and overcooked. She ended up asking for extra sauce to help with the flavor and texture. Overall, I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience the pizza flights and see what Butera's had to offer. The service was great and the food was decent, but it wasn't memorable enough to bring me back for another visit.
