Brunch menu was solid! So glad a decent brunch place opened out west. I ordered the Everything Hashbrowns with the Gravy on the side and loved it. Not a big gravy fan, so I'm glad I ordered it on the side. I ate it with pico de Gallo instead (highly recommend). My friends were pleased with what they ordered too. The pork belly was cooked perfectly in the Brekkie Skillet as well as the steak in the chilaquilles. Only wish was that there were gluten free carb options on the menu. read more

Seems like there are still a few kinks to work out. I wish them well, but I doubt we will come back. I would normally never put a negative review out for fear of retribution (and I am not a keyboard warrior), but I hope the restaurant learns and grows from this - I would love for them to find success! Upon entering there was no sign indicating whether you were to seat yourself or wait to be seated. We waited several minutes and were not acknowledged by the people we saw rushing past. Finally we were helped, and sat right in between two other parties - the entire restaurant was basically empty and it seemed a bit awkward that we were all seated so close with so many other seating options. My partner at first indicated he wanted a milkshake, but the server indicated the milkshake machine was not working for several days. Then, we ordered appetizers, but weren't ready to order meal yet. The fried potsticker were good, but I missed the traditional dip you get at a chinese restaurant when ordering these. The small potato chips were misplaced on this dish, and the little balsamic glaze just softened the chips and didn't really provide enough additional flavor to the potstickers. There was one potsticker that looked like it somehow had been deep fried 6 times too many, and for the life of me, I will never understand how that little guy made his way on to the plate...I suspect it was stuck in the fry basket before it got dropped onto our plate, but it was clearly inedible. The coconut shrimp were okay. I would have preferred to dip myself rather than have a sauce drizzled. Both appetizers seemed expensive for what you get though. The bed of lettuce was very wilted, but there was chow chow underneath it, so I guess you are expected to eat the wilted lettuce with the coconut shrimp (I don't know how else we were expected to integrate the underlying chow chow into each bite). The server came back several minutes later, when we were almost finished our appetizers, and offered to take our menu's, but we reminded her that we hadn't even ordered our actual entrees yet. The menu clearly indicates that there will be specials across multiple categories, and it makes a point to tell you excitedly to ask your server about specials. Our server could not have been less interested and told us she would check....after several minutes she came back and indicated that there are no specials - "they were going to do shrimp po' boys, but they don't have the shrimp, so there's no specials". I will remind you that the menu makes it sound like there would be specials in all categories, not just sandwiches. Also, what diner doesn't have a soup? That was very disappointing to me, as I usually try the Chicken Noodle Soup from every diner I visit. The caesar salad (extra $3 with an entree) was average, nothing outstanding but absolutely nothing wrong with it. It actually had tastier than average croutons. The menu over-relies on chow chow, but I thought it was a nice addition to the flavor of the coconut shrimp and in the Patty O Melty. I would highly suggest though it be decoupled and offered as a featured side condiment or something other than putting it directly on multiple items. The fries were orange and didn't taste good or fresh. I understand that there are many options with food distributors, but this particular choice of potato puzzles me. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was hard to describe. Watered down, maybe? Overall, it just really didn't have much flavor, and what flavor it did have didn't seem to match what it should have been. I wish I could provide better analysis of that, but I only took one bite of it from my partner's plate and it just didn't appeal to me enough to take a second bite. There was someone seated at the corner of the bar that we thought may have been an owner or manager. (For all we know, she could have just been a patron). The point is though, we have no idea who was in charge, and no one came around to ask our opinion or genuinely ask how everything was (our server's heart just wasn't in it and we didn't feel it appropriate to really put the burden on her - she said she had just started a week prior). If a manager had come around and asked for an honest opinion, I would have provided this feedback at the time, but they didn't, so they missed out on that opportunity. read more

I've only been to the Benson location but really enjoyed JoJo's West; it had all of the same stuff and pretty much the same high quality. Midwest Best (Country fried steak) is my favorite and it's a massive plate of food that's actually reasonably priced. Really loved the gravy and breading on my steak; would definitely go back. read more

The food was really good, love the cool atmosphere and the tables felt nicely spaced out to be comfortable. I'm not going full 5 stars just due to going in a group of 6 and having 3 people get their food, 5 mins later another 2 got theirs, and I was left waiting for my waffle for another 10 mins. They did apologize and took it off our tab which is super sweet, but as I watched other tables, it seemed to be a common theme. Just wondering if there is a better way for them to time out when food is coming out so it'll come together. Will definitely be back, just might give them a bit more time to get some of that figured out first! read more

I came across this diner after showing up early at the dentist down the hill. The hostess was inviting, the music peppy, and the food & service outstanding. I've been here now three times. I loved the roasted potatoes and she served great egg whites. I would have liked the Brussels sprouts with less char on them though they tasted delicious. No wait. No issues at all. Stopped in here yesterday for lunch with my husband. I had been once before and liked it so wanted him to try it too. This was even better than my last visit. We sat out on the patio, fully covered so no hot sun beating on us and the seating was a comfy couch! I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was amazing! BIG piece of fried chicken on a delicious bun with a sauce that was to die for! I wasn't super hungry so took half home. When I asked the waitress about the sauce, we had a very animated discussion about how great it is so she gave me some in a container to take home for my leftovers! Will definitely be back- need to try the brunch menu next visit. Oh, decent prices as well. read more

Went here a few weeks ago with my husband. We had a pretty good experience! That waitress was super friendly. We got the barrio fries for an app and they were SO good! I got the chicken fried chicken for my meal and the chicken was really good, but a HUGE portion. My husband got the Hot Chix sandwich and loved it! I also got a latte and it wasn't anything special though. But all together pretty happy with everything and we will absolutely go back! read more

This was my second visit and I probably won't return. The food is mediocre at best. The flatbreads are basically bread w sauce - not crispy or even lightly toasted. The Philly had hardly any cheese, the meat was tough and I literally had 7 fries. The chicken and waffles were ok but the waffle was super tough and didn't seem fresh. My family and I were excited to try jojo's today as we had never been. We had 7 plus a high chair in our party. When we walked in the restaurant was fairly empty with several employees just standing around. We were greeted with "for parties of 8 or more we usually ask for a reservation so it'll be like 30 minutes until we have a server that's ready" nowhere did we see that we would have to make a reservation. As mentioned before there were plenty of empty tables and plenty of employees standing around. I have worked in the service industry for 10+ years and would never greet people in this way. Pretty disappointed. I had been hearing about this place for awhile and all the great reviews, so my husband and I were looking forward to our visit here. The first thing I noticed was out server was very rushy and seemed to be overwhelmed. The place was about half full maybe. My husband ordered the steak and egg skillet, they got his eggs wrong but he said the steak was cooked well and tasted good. But the portion was pretty small. I'd be shocked if the steak was a 4 oz and there appeared to be one egg and a small handful of hashbrowns. He was still hungry afterwards. I ordered the turkey avocado melt. It didn't have a lot of flavor but was a big sandwich portion. The fries were good. But the sandwich especially the bottom was completely soggy and wet from the moment they put it down. I was turned off eating it actually. My gut is to not go back, my husband said we should. Maybe we will but not for awhile. It costs too much to eat out these days for sub par food. read more

When we asked someone if we could over they walked away. Told other employee that employee said I don't know. Never got our drinks and we ended up leaving. My husband and I have been to this location three times now with good experiences every time, our most recent being three days ago. Everything we ate has been very satisfying and delicious. Staff has been attentive every time and has never forgotten us. I'm so glad they brought this restaurant out west with the original being in Benson. 2nd visit and was disappointed. Service was slow despite not many customers. Breakfast order took about 45 minutes and was thin shriveled bacon, pretty crispy hash browns but good scrambled eggs. Pancakes were good as were the biscuits & gravy. Took longer than normal to get tickets and then get checked out. Music was somewhat louder than needed but maybe had not been adjusted from an early rush. Still able to have conversation. It's is a neat little cafe but needs some attention to details. I would suggest management take a look at the smoke detectors on the ceiling. At least 1 was open and didn't have any batteries in it. Men's bathroom could be cleaner too. Would have been nice to watch football but TV was only showing input source not found. Worth a third visit to give another chance. read more

JoJos out west was a really cool atmosphere. The menu was very unique and had a lot of fun options. DONT get the chicken and waffles....the chicken was a very poor quality chicken thigh instead of the normal strips or white meat chicken breast. Let me start off with the food was very good. We had a wide variety ordered between the 5 of us along when an appetizer. Portion size was big and food was hot and fresh. Flavor was all very good. The service was NOT good. We waited at the check in stand for quite a while to be seated when they only had 5 tables with people in them, waited an equally long time for someone to come to the table to take a drink order and then get drinks, don't even get me started on getting a refill. We ordered an appetizer and all five plates to share the appetizer with were very visibly dirty. They didn't bring syrup with our pancakes and the chop salad my husband ordered came out after all of the rest of our entrées were served. While we waited for our food we watched one couple wait at check in so long they ended up seating themselves and another couple sit at the table so long waiting for someone to come and at least get a drink order they got up and left. I really hope they can make improvements and make a go of this location. *It also would be nice to add your drink options to the menu. read more

This was one of the worst and most disgusting dinning experiences I've ever had in Omaha. Right when my waffle came out, I noticed a black ant crawl out from under it. Then after my boyfriends started eating his pancakes, he noticed an ant on his plate as well. The salt and pepper shakers looked like they had never been clean. They were so caked up in the insides that the salt and pepper wouldn't even come out when you shook it. Lastly, the maple syrup bottle on the table had a nasty black hair stuck to the tip of it. I was very excited to try this place, since it's about 2 minutes from my apartment, so I went for breakfast one Friday with my mother. Got in fairly quickly, then waited 10 minutes before getting water. Another 15 to order food, and when it finally came - it was cold. We could see it sitting on the shelf ready for pickup. I almost got up to get it myself. There were probably 8 other people in the restaurant so it wasn't busy, all with the same looks of "where's my food/the waiter?" Our waiter seemed high, and neither he nor the man behind the bar had the slightest idea what was going on. They kept asking each other where glasses, etc. were. A third staff member just kept carrying the same plates to and from the kitchen. Food itself was subpar and unremarkable. I can create better dishes in my own kitchen. At least then I'd know it was warm. Very unprofessional, mediocre food (at best), and clueless staff. Neither I nor my mother have any intention of returning, and I will tell everyone I know to steer clear. read more

We were there New Years Day & it was good. Went there today & not very good at all. Management basically failed its staff. They were down a server & as such, the rest of the staff had to work twice as hard. That said, they weren't able to keep up with demand & quality took a nosedive. Again I'm not blaming the staff here. They did their absolute best to keep up. What should have happened was to either close a section or shut down the bar (who drinks that early in a Sunday anyway?). It would've helped the staff produce a great product. Yes some people wouldn't have gone in, but it would've prevented this negative review from happening. Reputation is just as important as making an additional $5. read more

Mojo's diner was very clean and nicely decorated. The service was impeccable- our server was helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered biscuits and gravy. Maybe I made the wrong assumption but I always get biscuits and gravy with sausage gravy. There was no sausage in the gravy which definitely wasn't made from sausage drippings. I couldn't eat more than a 2-3 bites. My daughter got the chicken fried steak and she said it was OK - not the best and not the worst. I am disappointed- it has received great reviews. read more

Eggs Buenodict was recommended on Yelp reviews and it is good, I'm not a fan of Hollandaise sauce which is why it was good, they only put a little drizzle on each egg. Ham, they call it Jambo, was good & salty, English muffins weren't toasted but ok, not sure why there were pickled onions on top but I liked them. No hash Browns were included with my order. You can get a cup of fruit with donut holes in it. Not sure why donut holes were in the fruit, ok.They will not provide egg whites if you request them. If a place uses fresh eggs, egg whites are not a problem to serve, even if they must charge extra. I prefer made to order. Waffles were good, you can order 1 or 2, and 1 was enough. The west O location was not busy and we were able to get right in on a Sunday morning. Most places are packed on Sunday. This place is Super convenient, service was good, but the food was just ok.
