Looked over menu first Pizza seemed a little high compared to others in area.Ordered over phone. Person seemed abrupt, and then upset I couldn't quite understand him. Ordered a 12" (medium)combination. It was done within 15 min. I saw it on rack, looked a little overdone and also looked like a frozen pizza. Cashier was also abrupt, same guy on phone , I think. I picked up the box and it felt like there was nothing in it. Both bad signs but I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised at the " halal" offering. Very disappointed! It looked like and tasted like a frozen pizza and not a good one. The toppings were sparse, the bell peppers were even diced in little cubes like a frozen pizza. The crust was chewy not in a good way. Vanilla colored and thin no variation in color. The experience cost about 19.00 including tax. A Tombstone frozen pizza is better. I really don't understand the reviews and the review score was one of the reasons I chose this business. If halal is needed try Redrunner, they are very good for the price..and friendlier! I've been here a few times since my first review. The ingredients are always fresh and I love the crust. Today I ordered a Hawaiian pizza and a Greek salad. The salad was fresh and crunchy and came with a side of ranch dressing. I think next time I'll see if I can get a vinaigrette. I don't know what happened with the pizza. Everything was great except I didn't have any seasoning at all. Maybe someone got distracted and forgot to season? Nestled in a small plaza on the corner of Fulton and El Camino, my Husband and I were craving a good pizza that was halal. We ordered on the phone - which surprisingly went well . There were lots of photos online of different pizza combinations and all halal! Very happy. When we went to pick up the pizza we saw young adults eating in the few booths, which meant they were welcomed and safe there. Inside was very clean and although simple design- it all worked. The online ordering menu worked pretty well, but I didn't see how to select the toppings when I chose the two medium pizza deal, so I removed that and got the pizza lovers order. I also ordered the 6 piece bbq wings. I thought the pizza left a little to be desired. The Italian sausage and other meat just didn't have enough flavor and didn't seem authentic. I enjoyed the bbq wings as they are pretty big like I had read, and the flavor was enjoyable. Delivery was smooth and the guy friendly and presentable. JoJo's pizza just needs a few improvements, not trying to disrespect them. I felt like the wings should have been the higher priced item. The pizza just wasn't enough for me to justify the added delivery fee or the cost. It kinda felt like I was eating flatbread with some meat and cheese on it. Got the Toscana, was incredibly underwhelming. Very bland pizza, it looked good initially when we opened the box was lacking in flavor. Not enough sauce, pizza was very dry. Pieces of the chicken were hard and crunchy from bring baked too long (I hope). My girlfriend and I were both covering each slice we ate in pepper flakes/parmesan for some semblance of seasoning. Good hole in the wall place to get pizza. It tastes good and doesn't break the bank. I personally don't eat pork and I always like to find places that Halal or Kosher that way I know I'm not getting a product that contains pork. Most places that I've gone to use beef pepperoni which is good, but this place uses Turkey which is my favorite! I'd recommend trying this place out and supporting this local place. read more
