This wasn't my original choice but it was nearby. The menu is large with seemingly something for everyone. I ordered via the touchscreen kiosk and got 2 falafel veggie plates. You can choose protein, toppings, carb and sauces. The plate came with 5 very dry falafels. The rest of the plate was lettuce and rice with sauce. Nothing amazing but just ok. They make good "grape leaves" aka dolmas (I got two orders), but they are so mushy they're hard to dip. They often fall apart before you can get them to your mouth. I realize they say they are made with olive oil, but when they arrived, they were swimming in it. So, they're mushy and wet... but the taste is good. I prefer much firmer dolmas. The tzatziki (I got a large) is great! But I kind of ruined it trying to dip the dolmas in it. I also got the garlic sauce, and that's okay. The shawarma wrap left A LOT TO BE DESIRED. It doesn't really have any taste of its own, so it's good that I ordered such large sauces. I put the tzatziki on it and the garlic and wound up leaving 3/4's of it. IT WASN'T WORTH EATING! I hate leaving places negative reviews, but this place is bad. Something left 2-3 members of my family sick. We ate from all over the menu, the burgers came out raw from the inside. They offered to re-make them, but we asked for mini shawermas in their place- as the meat from the burgers looked dodgy AF. At first bite, the chicken shawerma seemed fine, but that was the common dominator + pomegranate drink we all had..and from which we all got cramps, stomach pains and diarrhea the next AM. Delicious food, friendly and polite service, restaurant clean, ingredients fresh. Second visit today. Due to pricing and scrutiny of my spending, I opted for a gyro (beef only), $7.99. Unlike menu photo from 5 months ago, no drink with it. That's ok, water is fine for me. Menu and pricing is displayed on a TV, so it could easily change in a moment's notice. Probably the $2/hr minimum wage hike as of 1-1-22 = menu price hike. The nice gal working there gave a small sample of falafel to me and the two other patrons waiting for their dishes. Pretty tasty. I could enjoy it as a supplemental dish if sharing with someone. I will return again some day. It's difficult though because my favorite Ethiopian restaurant is across the street and another kabob favorite is up the street. Mosaeic is one of my favorite Mediterranean spots in Sacramento. The food is fresh and delicious. One of my favorite parts is that they provide free tea if you dine in. They have a little tea bar in their restaurant for customers to help themselves to. They service is always excellent and staff are always willing to answer questions. The restaurant is always clean. It's a great place to grab lunch/dinner. I love the chicken shawarma plate. It has chicken, rice (I usually get the yellow rice) hummus, pita bread, and salad. We really wanted to like this place but unfortunately here are our cons which affects the ratings -I ordered the chicken and beef tikka plate while he ordered the Shawerma plate. Real small portions for the price point. Mine for instance was $18-19 which really would be better at $12. The portions are not much. The kabobs are also small. -food was drrrrrrry. Mine were still okay but definitely not juicy it was like well done...his Shawerma was like well done the next day after leftover dry and dark. He ended up not eating the rest of it -agh, bland hummus but I'm used to good hummus so I get that some will think it's good. Presentation of it was nice. We've both decided this place does not warrant a repeat experience so although we like the concept and the idea of females working-this isn't a hit for us. Lamb shank with white saffron rice Shawarma (Arabic) style, fries (good diner style but the way I like it BTW it never occurred to me to dip the fries in the garlic dip!!!!omg a different style of delicious Garlic fries!) The babaganoogh was good too but for me it is a bit smokey--this is just my own preference. We got the cheese kunafeh for dessert but...we too full! We were able to sample their baklava and it was so delicious. Their signage shows that they will open a bakery soon! I can't wait! It is nice that you can order sides of grilled tomato and onion...which we did and tasted so good with the lamb shank and rice. I ordered through Doordash with free delivery for $15 or more with Mosaeic. We ordered 2 beef shwarmas $7.99 each and 1 falafel shwarma $6.99. Sorry we were so hungry I forgot to snap some photos. All of us liked our choice and they came with a can of soda each. The shwarma was wrapped like a burrito. They were neither big nor small. The delivery arrived 15 minutes ahead of schedule. This is a great example of a small place putting out great food. I got the chicken shawarma plate, while my friends got the burger and falafel plate. Everything came out looking and tasting great. There were two younger people that looked like they were being trained, and by the taste of things they were being trained well. The dining room is small and they offer free hot tea. It doesn't seem to get a lot of traffic, but there's always someone waiting to take their to-go order. The food is very flavorful. So, to start, coming into the business, it was clean, quiet, and staff was making meals as orders came in. Looking over the menu board, it was quite confusing as to what combos had what and pricing differences from sizes of each plate. Service wise, food was prepared pretty quickly, but they did not bring the food to your table which made me regret the amount of tip I gave when I paid for the food. My wife is middle eastern and she uses the hummus benchmark to determine whether this will be a good Mediterranean restaurant or not. Sadly, the hummus did not meet with her approval as it was less than satisfactory flavor wise. It needed more garlic, lemon, salt. It had too much tahini. Our beef shawarmas were very greasy/oily and meat was not seasoned well at all. Lacked salt and seasoning. Falafel, although small, were very good. They do offer, in the back area, free tea and utensils and plates. All in all we might come back to try the chicken shawarma but not sure either as the other items left us wanting more bang for our buck. read more

Husband and I went in today for the first time and ordered two beef shawarma wraps. They were excellent. The proportions were very large. We were only able to eat half of the wrap for lunch, so we had the rest for dinner. We also ordered a couple falafel pieces, which were good too. This place was really clean and the ingredients looked very fresh. We would come back for sure. Two types of rice --generous portions and quite tasty. A little salad with Dressing; the hummus was also tasty. I make hummus from scratch so can tell the real thing. Wow, found my favorite new shawarma restaurant. We came for lunch today and we both loved our choices. I had the chicken shawarma my husband had the falafel.
