Probably the worse Jollibee establishment in the US. They did not have burgersteak when I was there but they have burgers. How can you run out of burgersteak when it's just the burgers and rice with the sauce?! Got the bucket of chicken, they forgot the gravy. The one in Seafood city and Skokie gives two cups of gravy.l if you order a 10 pc bucket. This store forgets to give me one and refuses to give me two. Really, this is jollibee, not Popeyes. Probably my favorite fried chicken fast food chain, and I'm so glad that they opened a location in downtown Chicago! I used to drive to the suburbs to get my Jollibee fix and now don't have to anymore. You must try the chicken joy with mashed potatoes and gravy on top, the peach mango pie, and wash it down with a refreshing pineapple drink. I love this chain from the Philippines! I no longer live by the other Jollibee in Chicago that is far north so when I saw they opened up one in downtown Chicago I was so ecstatic! The only downside of course is that there's no parking out front so you either gotta pay for parking farther, take CTA, or do a quick order through the website and pick up. I ordered through their website and it was legit ready in 5 min I was really impressed. When I went inside it was huge! Very spacious. Lots of room for groups. There was a long line when I came in too. It seemed faster just to order through the website and pick up your food than waiting in line. I truly make Jollibee a pilgrimage...no matter where it is in the world, I will venture to Jollibee and always bring back extras with me! Of all Jollibees around the world and the USA, I've experienced, this was the worst one of them all. The service was slow. The workers looked like they didn't want to be there at all and we're working at turtle speed. It took me over 1.5 to get my entire order and it wasnt even a busy afternoon. And when I got it, it was even wrong and I had to wait longer and when I got home I realized they gave me regular chicken even though I said spicy and my receipt stated spicy. Disappointed. The workers had no hospitality. No smile. And every little request seemed like a hassle for them. The garbage was piled high. There were no napkins. And it was just a mess. I didn't appreciate having two homeless people beg me for food. It felt uncomfortable even when I offered to purchase a sandwich, the homeless were so specific on what they wanted. It was not a good experience. The manager would pop out every now and then to start yelling at the workers to stop talking or work faster and then she would disappear and it was back to slow pace again. Poor management style especially needing to show everyone you need to yell at your team for them to be forced to work. The better Jollibee is the other northern chicago location. If this wasn't just so close to my hotel that time I went, I would have never gone. Next time I'll avoid this location. It's really nice to see that Jollibee has expanded into a new location now in The Loop! Since moving to Chicago, we'd have to trek up the Kennedy Expressway for a hot second to Seafood City located in the Albany Park/Jefferson Park area to get our Jollibee fix, which, if you live in the city and don't have a car is a pain to get to. There's also another Jollibee in Skokie not far from that location, because the biggest concentration of Filipinos live in the Northwest side of the city. The fact that this location opened up right on Michigan Ave, means something huge. I know Jollibee is expanding all across the U.S., and slowly becoming more popular with non-Filipinos. It's great seeing their expansion really. Their chicken is pretty bomb, and although I wish their "spicy" chicken sandwich was a little bit spicier, I'd 100% support this place over anti-LGTBQ Chic-Fil-A that you can find all over downtown. You could literally order Jollibee from this location and walk across the street and eat it by the Bean or chill in Millenium Park on a nice summer day. Looking forward to that when it warms up, because your boy is already over this cold ass winter, lmao. The only reason I took off a star is because the staff wasn't the most welcoming or friendly. I've heard friends talked about this chain restaurant and this my very first time to try out this restaurant. This review is my personal experience to share with people and there is nothing to discourage you stop trying this restaurant out. The first impression when I walked in the restaurant is the temperature inside was high (I would say at least 80F) and humid. The line was long, because there is only one order taker. It took awhile for me to placed the order. They are having a 25th Anniversary promotions and I placed 12 pieces of fried chicken for $25.00. Sadly I was informed fried chicken will take at least 15 minutes to cook. I finally got the fried chicken and they are all dark meat. $25 for 12 pieces of dark meat fried chicken is way more expensive than KFC or Pop-eye. The chicken tastes moist and pretty much as good as KFC or Pop-eye. But their staff were so rude, when I mentioned it was hot inside and the fountain drink was not working properly.
