As a Filipino I was super excited this chain from Phillipines opened up near me. I tried the chicken, adobo rice, spaghetti, aloha yum burger and the burger steak with rice. The chicken was excellent especially when you dipped it in the provided gravy. The aloha yum burger was delicious especially if you like pineapple. The burger steak rice was like having Loco moco from Hawaii without the egg on top. If you don't like sweet spaghetti stay away from jollibee spaghetti. It's made to be sweet. I bought 12 pieces of fried chicken from Jolliebees for my mom last month since it's not as salty as other places. I love that it's lightly seasoned but still quite tasty and crispy. And guess what. The chicken is supposed to be dipped in the gravy if you need extra flavor. I think it's great by itself. My mom likes fried chicken but doesn't usually eat it cuz it's so insanely salty and unhealthy so I'm glad that I was able to give her some Jollibees. It smelled so good but I didn't eat any since I was just bringing it over. They all enjoyed it. My brother liked the gravy. It's like a thick kfc gravy but sweeter. The mango pineapple drink is ok.. L loves the peach pie. I like the chicken and I had to come back after a week to get ourselves a bucket. I also tried the burger steak with fries. This is my second time having fries and this time it was nice and crispy and not overly salty. I reheated some sushi rice and added the burger steak. I'd prefer fresh mushrooms but overall it wasn't bad. It was actually quite nostalgic. It was a lil better than the Salisbury steak I had at a diner in the city when I lived in Chinatown decades ago. Anyway I shared it with L. Comes with 2 patties. It was a lil too salty for me, so the rice was necessary. Great for a quick meal. For dinner, I made some mashed potatoes with organic red and golden potatoes from WFs and it was so good with a lil gravy on top. I also roasted some broccoli with garlic. Interesting. I had been waiting for this place to open so the day after Thanksgiving as I was leaving a tattoo shop I passed by and couldn't leave I had to try it. I got the 2 piece chicken with a side and a drink. The chicken was chicken and the gravy was not bad at all. Fries were fries and I want to try more things but for the first time not bad. It was clean inside and the servers were attentive and ready. The soda machine needs nitrogen or mixing or something but yeah. Definitely would recommend and try more things. I received a meal from this spot, so I didn't physically go there. My order was part of a 10 piece fried chicken bucket, gravy, fries, & a peach mango pie. The chicken had legs & thighs in it - large pieces. The flavor was very good, & the chicken itself was very juicy I must say. The fries were okay, you get plenty. Gravy was plentiful but, the flavor was not good for me. It tasted similar to store bought. I couldn't do it. As for the pie, mango-peach, similar in shape to the McDonald's apple pie. I'm glad that I tried it. Twas an experience that I'm satisfied with; but, one that I won't try again. If you like that kind of thing, maybe you'd enjoy it. In summation, if I had to choose between Jollibees & Popeyes-which I love, I'd say Jollibees for the chicken hands down. But as for the distance/location, I'm good with Popeyes. Anyway, the palabok and the peach mango pies as usual did not disappoint BUT the chicken joy????? Come on guys! What happened? Is there a new recipe or something ???? The chicken was bland and tasted like it used regular flour with little seasoning (to maybe none) . First let me just say that I have never heard of this place before. When ordering the food the service was great. Everyone was friendly and respectful. The ambience was decent. Meaning not to crowded and sort of organized and clean. Now to the important part the food. I had ordered the 6 Pc spicy chickenjoy bucket I guess. It came with 2 sides and two drinks. The low rating comes at the taste test. The chicken was tasteless and uncooked. I don't know how since it was deep fried. The spicy was at a 4 in a rating scale not enough to over take the flavors. Decided to stop by here out of curiosity. There was a huge line but I decided to stick it out and I'm glad because it was worth it. Staff was super busy but still very friendly. I tried to like this location. I went 4 times amd they have to have the worse service of any location i have been to from Tarlac to Jersey City and various locations in between. I did online order arrived about 15 minutes early stood waited my time I requested. I am given food that contained fries left on a counter over 15 minutes. I request fresh hot given attitude. Now I just returned from PH and they never had chicken left out not under a warmer that long. The chicken I was given had a nice crisp crunch. I found it bit dry and bland as heck. It was as if it was just coated with seasoning not marinated with flavour throughout like I get throughout PH. Placed an order online. Ordered 3 pieces with 2 sides and 2 pieces with spaghetti, when I got home I got the surprise that they only gave me 2 pieces with 2 sizes, no utensils and napkins.
