Jolliebee , wow what can I say, I truly believe it is the best fried chicken on the island. If you don't mind waiting in a long line literally out the door. My motto is " If there is a line, there is a line for a reason" The chicken is juicy and skin is fried perfectly. Golden yellow the sizes are very well proportioned and way bigger than KFC. The gravy is good. gravy my wife tells me that Filipinos dip there chicken into the gravy. Well heck I have always done that very thing anyway, yummy. The mashed potatoes taste like they are made from real potatoes..what!?!? Yes real potatoes I also had the sweet spaghetti, now I don't mean like the expression as in sweet, spaghetti, I mean the taste is sweet. I liked it, my boys did not, whatever more for me. The price point is average for Maui. Truth be told my son waited in line all night for the grand opening and won a free 6 piece chicken for a year. It's funny that I lived years in Vegas and never went to Jollibee, then on a Maui just 2 weeks after they open I try it! I wasn't disappointed though. Should have tried it years ago in Vegas!! The flavor was so rich for each dish! The chicken pieces were so big it fed my family of 4! Each piece had just the right mixture of crispy coating and meat. The spaghetti wasn't as sweet as I thought it was going to be. Heard stories that it was just like noddles & ketchup..but really no. It was t a full chunky sauce..was red & had a few hot dog slices, but it's from a fast food place so what are you expecting! Then to seal the meal the peach mango pie. This was my favorite part of the meal!!!! It had such good flavor to it. It was a little sweet and only ate 2 bites, but you could taste the peach & the mango in full flavor!! We love fried chicken so were excited to try this new(to us & also to Maui)Filipino chicken place. We knew it would be crowded so decided to go for lunch. They had a line-where the drive through will be- we were given a number and handed a menu. A girl came & took our order while we were in line. The line moved quickly and in we went. We ordered/paid & were given a disc that would light up when it was ready, about the time we sat down it was packaged up & waiting for us. I asked for plates which they had under their counter. We got a bucket of chickenjoy-6 pieces-3 thighs/3 legs. For sides we got corn(nothing special) mashed potatoes & gravy(tasted like real not instant) and sticky white rice. You get a cup of gravy to dip your chicken in, it was too salty for me but rest of group liked it. We wanted Adobe rice but said they don't carry it even though it was on the menu we were given. We got a spaghetti, I liked it but others thought sauce was to sweet. We also got palabok fiesta a Filipino dish-was really good, rice noodles, spicy sauce, 2 egg slices, couple of shrimp & ground meat. We got the pineapple drink instead of soda it was delicous & wanted a refill but said they don't offer that. I know lots of places will give you a refill for half price which I would gladly have paid. For dessert we got the mango pie-oh my SO delicous, sweet and juicy inside crispy outside. Everytime I take a bite of their fried chicken joy it reminds me of how it always made me happy as a kid. The chicken is juicy in the inside and crispy in the outside. Worth every bite and every minute of the wait. The pineapple juice is not too sweet and not too acidic. It so delicious and refreshing. The peach mango pie is a MUST! I ordered their Chicken Sandwich Deluxe and it was yummy! I don't know what kind of sauce they put on it but it made all the difference. Although they did put a little too much because the chicken, tomato, and lettuce kept falling out of the buns (just me being nitpicky) One let down was that I thought that the deluxe would include the fries and soda since it was more expensive but it didn't. However, service/food quality may vary as it is a fast food restaurant and I've encountered quite a few "missing" item problems (going into the drive thru). I didn't really have any interest in trying Jollibee's as I try to avoid fast food. But after all of the hype when they first arrived on island and numerous friends pushing me to go, I reluctantly gave in last week. Being born and raised in the Southeastern US, fried chicken is a religion. I critique it strongly, even if it isn't "southern style". With that said, to be fast food, ChickenJoy does it right. I ordered a 2 piece with spaghetti (because that's their thing so you gotta try it!) and had one piece spicy and one piece original. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, and the skin was so crispy. I was honestly shocked at how good it was. I really enjoyed the spicy version and would most likely choose it over the original in the future. However, I did not like the spaghetti. The shredded cheese on top threw me off as did the sweet nature of the sauce. if you like your spaghetti sweeter, then you would likely enjoy theirs. I also tried a Peach Mango pie. Again it was just okay. It was very similar to McDonald's pies, just a different flavor. So if you want peach mango, instead of apple or taro, Jollibee's has you covered. I don't know if I'll be back, simply because I do try to avoid fast food types of restaurants. With that said, it was definitely worth trying and I'm glad I did. If I ever had to choose or had a craving for fast food fried chicken, this would be my choice. read more

On December 20th I used their online app to place an order. I ordered the Treat D bucket and a jolly spaghetti. My husband went to pick up our order. He was not sure if he had to go thru the drive thru so he attempted to walk in. Doors were locked. He asked an employee for help and all they did was point where he had to go. The run around he was getting from the staff was pissing him off. He got home with the order and we did not have the five peach pies that supposed to come with it. I immediately called the store to resolve the issue. The staff are soo friendly even though they must be tired from day one it's been crazy busy. I like the chicken strips best but if they are out give the chicken joy a try. I had a bad experience coming here for the first time a few months ago because I looked at their menu and took a while to order since I wanted to try something new. This female employee about 18-21 years old was taking my order and was talking to her coworker in Tagalog complaining about how I was taking too long. First and last time eating at Jollibee. Had heard great things so figured I'd try it out when in Kahului doing weekly grocery shopping. Ordered a 10 piece bucket, expecting a mixture of pieces. When I got home to Lahaina I was surprised to find 7 legs and 3 small thighs. No breasts or white meat of any sort. There is no sign saying only dark meat is in buckets, and the order taker didn't alert me to that. I called expecting a "sorry, we must have been out of white meat, how can we make it right for you". Instead, I got a series of excuses such as "we never put white meat in buckets", culminating with their final offer of "bring it back and we'll replace it with what you want". I explained that this wasn't viable since I live 30 miles away and don't plan to go to Kahului for the next week. They said that was all they were going to do and basically told me to pound sand.
